How in the world did that get so deep in the ground ?

Metal detecting this interesting lace out in the woods of NH and digging up all kinds of stuff and things. Anything is possible with all the history here as it was colonial settled land, a farm all through the 1800s and a hunting cabin sat here later in the 1930's. So relic hunting this place is always fun. We walked the rock walls and explored what is now overgrown farm field and dug up a few cool things and a couple things that were 18 inch deep at the least....how does that happen ? Found an old coin right at the cabin site as well as an old key.
