- It's time that The King returned to take back his "Control"! 🚨💯 with a little help from The Princess... 🕺🏽👑💃🏽 Here is the 12" extended version of my 80s version of "Why You Wanna Trip On Me"! 👊🏽💣✊🏽💥✨ This one has been in the works, on & off, since the Forever Album sessions. I started off totally experimenting with it and... well, you could say I lost "Control". 😏 Like with "Scream (80s)", there was no way this could be shortened to anything less than 6 or 5 minutes. So, hope you enjoy! 🙏🏾 The main version and 7" edit are also available on the page! 💿 Hope you enjoy! 🙏🏾🖤 Stop Trippin', Get Stupid. 😎🤘🏾♾
Get it while it's hot! 🔥 Seriously, I know some, if not most or all of these songs may get axed by "them" at any moment, so please use the download links well and share the music (album/songs) with your friends so that the Groove'n'Funk never truly goes away. Thank you! 🖤

The original version of “Why You Wanna Trip On Me” was leaked by American producer Eulonzo on July 28th, 2022. It was unknown this version existed.
Although fans are familiar with the final version from the “Dangerous” album in 1991, it has been revealed that “Why You Wanna Trip On Me” (originally stylized as “Whyyouwannatriponme?”) was originally written and recorded as far back as 1986 during the Bad sessions at Flyte Tyne Studios in Minneapolis with his sister Janet Jackson, with the help of not only Joe Kehr, but the production duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and Sarah Greim, prior to the original version of “Scream” with Janet Jackson.
The song was initially an experiment between Michael, Janet, Joe Kehr and production duo Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, who had just recently left The Time, now also ex-Prince associates, who were looking to embark on an album with Janet by this point. They had previously worked with Michael on the original version of “Jam”. The song is Michael’s response to critics and the media about their obsession over him. At the same time, he provides a list of things that they can talk about instead. Things that he believes are lot more important than celebrity updates.
Michael, Janet, and Joe Kehrr are all providing background vocals throughout the track, along with their mother Katherine Jackson giving a “spoken” part via phone call in the studio. The song is written by Michael, Janet, Joe, Jimmy & Terry collectively. Madonna had also made a visit to the studio and provided vocals, but was uncredited for unknown reasons. He began working further on this version from 1986-1987 with Jimmy & Terry, Joe and Janet. The song contains a sample of Charlie Chaplin’s voice from the film ‘The Great Dictator” (1940)’, approved by his estate/family.
While the song runs under 6 minutes, the extended / full-length version is over 8 minutes long. This is due to Michael, Janet, and Joe experimenting constantly with the song. Sarah Greim (aka Syradelic), was also brought in by Joe to provide some guitar, making this one of two collaborations between Michael, Janet, and Sarah. Due to time constraints, the song was edited down to multiple versions to potentially fit on a vinyl if they ever decided to put it on any album.
While they all liked this version, Quincy felt that the song was “too intense” for his image at the time, among other issues. Quincy strongly disliked Joe bringing in Jimmy & Terry into the circle, due to their history with Prince. Joe was already on thin ice with Quincy for bringing in outside artists that he didn’t approve of. This caused a split between Michael & Quincy. While Michael loved Quincy and looked to him as a mentor, he felt that he had to choose between him or Joe as his primary producer going forward. Ultimately, he chose Joe, because he felt more freedom with him.
Michael shortly gave the original version to Janet, so that she, Jimmy & Terry could finish it the way that they wanted to. Shortly after, the song evolved into “Control”, the title-track to Janet’s second album in 1986. Michael would later on revisit the song in 1990 during the Dangerous sessions, and eventually finished it for the Dangerous album in 1991. That one was produced by Michael and Teddy Riley.

@@mozgotron12 What’s possible is always possible here in Planet Funk! 😎🤘🏾🌎 Thank you so much. 🖤
The remix uses samples from Janet Jackson - Control (Design Of A Decade, 1986-1996).
@@mozgotron12 No samples, just an interpolation! 🙏🏾🎶 Everything you hear in the track is produced by me and whoever’s listed on the songs. 🖤 It was produced in the style of “Control”, but the only samples that exist there are Janet’s vocals.

Nice, I always enjoy the 12" versions of your mixes, they just contain so many references on top of a really good mix
That truly means the world, thank you! 🙏🏾🖤 The 12” versions are essentially the entire song, as I genuinely love creating in general and it’s definitely a playground for me. 😎🎶
This mix is brilliant work. I see what you did here. I think Janet, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis also Madonna would definitely appreciate the gesture if they heard this at a party. ❤🎉🕺🏾🤸🏿♂️
Can't believe Madonna is on this, I guess it would make sense to have the Queen of Pop working with the King of Pop.

OMG…🔥🔥🔥
MUCH LOVE! 🖤🖤🖤
It's too good! It just hit me! Nobody can be better than Michael so I have to ask: EULONZO, ARE YOU MICHAEL?!
Hmm... good question. 🤔 See, there's a reason I've taken this long to respond to this question, 'cause you lowkey exposed my identity. 😏 But thank you anyway! 🙏🏾🖤 This one is one of my personal favorites.
@@eulonzomixes. I wonder if Janet Jackson heard this remix?
@@eulonzomixesI so wish that was true!😂😂😂
Careful you might awaken Pearl Jr to a hoax 😂

That means a lot, thank you!! 🖤✨ It’s definitely an under appreciated song from the Dangerous album, especially lyrically!

Oops! 😎✨ Thanks so much, one of my favorite commenters. 🙏🏾♾
@@eulonzomixes that's an honour to be one of them eulonzo..
i really like it, the only thing i dont like is the reverb on mjs vocals (they sound very thin).
i love the part from 4:00.
Dope man, keep up the good work
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
4:02 Bro, I love your songs, and I use these mixes to dance to. but I have never seen a beat like this!!! For me it's simply the best dance song ever!!! Scream's parts are amazing!
Until the end of the song the beat is amazing! Adlibs from History, Scream and Kepp The Faith
Please keep making songs like this, because I like to practice MJ's dance and have fun, and I prefer your mixes than MJ's original songs 😆😆
👏👏👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🙏🏾💯 Thank you so much, Paulo!! I appreciate your words, ESPECIALLY in regards to the beat. The Control groove was too tempting not to lean into, so it was a no-brainer for the origin to be that, and play around with the groove of that beat
Interesting note, this was actually initially a drum machine beat I had done over a year prior, ironically for that reason! Just an instrumental demo at the time to dance to, with all of the samples still there (including Charlie Chaplin, Janet & Katherine Jackson, etc) so it didn't feel empty. 🎶
I'm glad you dig these songs! 🖤✨ There's plenty more like this one coming. Aside from the Captain EO soundtrack, there will be a second (possibly 'final') album to follow-up "Forever", and quite a few songs will have this funky military. So, you ain't seen NOTHIN' yet! 😎🤘🏾 Just all takes time.

according to the MEGA, it's used as a Reference to The Drill from This is It. I love hearing Mind Is The Magic, very underrated track.

Absolutely amazing but imo the loudness mix of the instruments is off, he is too quiet and the drums are too loud most of the time
I think it's because there is no multitrack version publicly available for this song yet. It's much harder to clean up the vocals from the original mix.
that's just "most" of the lead from the center of the 5.1
