Guys please please finish this series, even if it feels weird. If I can’t get the satisfaction of a resolution in Seasons 2 and 3, I at least want the satisfaction of a conclusion to this series, rating of Konrads theories, predictions, etc.
Oh man. I’m kind of dreading listening to this knowing what we now know. So much potential in 1899 and I was so looking forward to two more seasons of the show and this podcast. Sigh. You guys do a great job. Maybe after this season is done I’ll go back and listen to your Dark podcast again. Sword fights and bug monsters. A classic.
I think the most interesting about the relationships on board is that there a lot of triangular relationships. Plus apparently the book on Maura's table is also about a triangular relationship with the female protagonist committing suicide in the end.
Having worked as a lighting tech & stagehand, the panels for LEDs are quite thin, relative to the frame that bolsters the whole lot of them together. Certain ones have smaller subdivided sections that pop/out and reattach with magnets (for easy swap out of bad panels). Maura pulling back the facade could have been practical for all I know!
1899 has a big revival campaign. We have a very active subreddit and discord. We’ve got a bunch of different things planned such as: a marathon day on Jan 18 where we watch as much of the show as we can, a twitter raid day on the 17 in which we spam twitter posts using the hashtags #save1899, #1899netflix, and the tagline what is lost will be found (more details in the subreddit), and we’re sending a bunch of letters to Netflix USA and Germany on Jan 13. We’re also making a fan book to be sent directly to Bo and Jantje. These are all on the subreddit and discord. Please take a look at them and make a video about it. This show still has a chance.
Incidentally the PTSD soldiers experience is far worse when the traumatic event contains an atrocity committed on their part. So if that is true Tove would suffer worse PTSD because she killed the landlord.
I only got round to watching this after the cancellation news and I can only say with everyone else I hope you guys continue on with the discussion; much like with The OA, there is still speculation to be had, mad theories for Konrad to throw out there, it's still possible to be entertaining despite the shitty news. Some of my favourite shows have been cancelled way before their time - not quite like this, as quickly as this but there is something really intriguing or will be, given time, about shows that prematurely ended - a mystery in itself. No spoilers, but the actual ending of the season, while on the one hand completely leaves many more questions than answers, does answer at least a few of the questions running through the show. Oh and btw, no haven't been to the ice-hockey, but hallowed ground indeed lads, home of the mighty Belfast Giants🤣😂😆
