A fabulous video!!! It brings back a lot of memories of my family picnicking on the Janiculum Hill. I'd forgotten how beautiful San Pietro in Montorio Church is. And the Tempieto is stunning!!! It feels like I'm walking with you when I watch your videos ! Thanks to you, I saw the interior of S. Pietro in Montorio, as it was closed when I walked the Janiculum many years ago. At that time, I became aware of the tragic story of Beatrice Cenci, who was decapitated on September 11, 1599, in Piazza di Ponte Sant'Angelo, after her lover Olimpio Calvetti assassinated her father. Her lawyer Prospero Farinacci did not succeed in convincing the judges that her father had raped her. She was buried in this church in an unknown location. Your meticulous and gentle panning allowed me to pause at 32:39 and ponder on the inscription BONIS ET MORS ET VITA DULCIS EST (For the good, both death and life are sweet). Thought provoking, to say the least...

Hier, j'ai arrêté ma lecture à la fontaine de l'acqua Paola...Sans Pietro in Montorio, quelle merveille ! Cette diversité des marbres, leurs couleurs. Ces rouges et ces noirs. Ce blanc éclatant...la matière partout travaillée, forcée pour qu'elle devienne la plus belle et la plus riche. Je crois avoir deviné une peinture du Caravage (c'est facile à vérifier). Également, un martyr de Saint Sébastien. J'ai déjà vu dans d'autres de vos vidéos cette alliance des marbres rouges sombres et noirs que je trouve vraiment belle. Le tempietto de Bramante a lui aussi servi de cadre à une des scènes du film de Sorrentino. À Rome, on ne peut qu'avoir l'embarras du choix...
C'est vrai, mais une chose fantastique à propos de Rome est que même si vous y vivez depuis des années, vous trouvez toujours des détails que vous n'aviez pas remarqués auparavant. C'est une redécouverte continue. Salutations Pierre. 😉👋
L'acqua Paola à servi de cadre pour une scène du très très beau film "La Grande Bellezza" de Paolo Sorrentino. Celle d'un touriste chinois qui y meurt, sans doute terrassé par les beautés qu'offre cette endroit. "La Grande Bellezza" me sert souvent d'inspiration pour retrouver l'esprit émanant de cette ville éternelle que je découvre aussi grâce à vous....
Je me souviens de cette partie du film Pierre. 🙂👌 Ce sont ces petites/grandes merveilles de Rome un peu éloignées des routes touristiques canoniques, mais qui font de Rome un joyau à découvrir. ✨
