- In this video you can enjoy the cab ride - train drivers' view on Slovenia and Croatia Railways train between Ljubljana and Zagreb. The video is filmed in 4K/60 frames per second.
This line runs on Dobova-Ljubljana Railway in Slovenia and M101 railway in Croatia.
Dobova-Ljubljana Railway line is a 114.7-kilometre long double-tracked railway line in Slovenia, which is operated by Slovenske železnice. It is electrified with 3 kV DC from Ljubljana to Dobova and 25 kV AC from Dobova to the national border, where it connects to Croatian railway network, specifically the M101 line extending to Zagreb.
The railway line follows the Sava Valley and is integral part of Pan-European Corridor X, running from Salzburg through Ljubljana and Zagreb towards Skopje and Thessaloniki.
It was the route of the Orient Express service from 1919 to 1977.
The state border-Savski Marof-Zagreb Glavni kolodvor railway (Croatian: Pruga državna granica-Savski Marof-Zagreb Glavni kolodvor), officially designated as the M101 railway, is a 26.709-kilometre (16.596 mi) railway line in Croatia, connecting the nation's capital Zagreb and its main railway station to the Slovene railway network west of Savski Marof and further on with Ljubljana. Its route follows the Sava Valley. It is an integral part of the Pan-European Corridor X running from Salzburg and Ljubljana towards Skopje and Thessaloniki. The line is electrified and double-tracked.The line is used for passenger (urban-suburban, regional and international) and freight traffic.
From 2018 to 2021, the complete section between stations Zaprešić (excluded) and Zabok was modernized/reconstructed, which resulted in splitting of almost all direct passenger lines Zagreb - Zabok - Varaždin - (Čakovec - Kotoriba) in two. The EMU trains started to cover mostly all lines between Zagreb and Zabok.

Outstanding ride along through a beautiful Sava River Valley.
@richardlong3745 Indeed. 😊
A ride through gorgeous country !! Thank you for this video...such a beautiful part of the world !!
@carljohnson3989 You are welcome. It is beautiful I agree.
@hamster0815p Thank you very much for your support and compliments. I really appreciate it.
Thank you for the wonderful train window with lush greenery!
@kenyongray2615 You are very welcome. Wishing you a great Sunday!
7:13 - the green trains on the sidings are actually old Mercedes DMU (still in limited use, I guess), the most luxurious trains back in the 1970s.
And on back of marcedes (red train) is kanarček
Good video, btw Slovenian Railways are looking at introducing service Ljubljana - Zagreb using their Flirt trains. 2hr service would most likely commence next year if intergovernmental agreement can be reached this year. Service would initially consist of 5 daily trains to Zagreb or 8 if you include international trains. But hourly service is possible in future. line between Kostosija and Zagreb central station is undergoing €29.5 million modernization, including installation of ETCS level 1 signalization, same signalization will eventually be installed between Dobova (Slovenia) and (Kustosija )Zagreb, and on all mainlines in Croatia. Aslo, Croatia is expected to invest around €30 billion in to its railways between 2024 and 2040. Complete modernization of entire network.
@davidczar2978 Thank you, this is great news.
Beautiful work :) And I am honored that in your description you use the info about railway lines from english Wikipedia - I wrote information about the lines in those articles :)
@doriancroatia2054 Great. Thank you for all that information. As I am traveling around different countries, Wikipedia is a great place to get info.
Finaly. I’ve been waiting for that one. 🎉

@nicolasmoreau3084 Merci. Thank you very much for your compliment. I am glad that you like my work.
Great video, camera view, and info along the way. I came out of curiosity but stayed up to the end. I felt as if I was on that train, thanks
@adriatic123 Great that you stayed on board until Zagreb and that you enjoyed it!
Great cap ride. Thanks

@domipa3972 you are welcome.
thanks for this video 👃
@zoltzoni You are welcome.
@nobelitaly1024 Thank you. It is very nice indeed.
Bellissimo video, complimenti!!!
@paolopetronio8260 Thank you for the info.
Ein sehr gutes video danke
@hansrichardnohrer2834 You are welcome.

Finally the Cabride crossing Zapresic! I ENJOYED A LOT Sava Valley Line! Obrigado as always! What are future lines?
@wladislaw79 I am glad that you liked it. it is so nice to hear that people like my selection. I am not sure yet which line will be next...there are some waiting to be published....

@bahnkolejvlaky1419 Thank you.
I love to visit Zagreb i would like to stay 2 weeks
@haydaral-assadi8946 Zagreb is a nice city.
2 weeks is a bit much only for Zagreb, 2 or 3 days are enough for that. Within 2 weeks it is highly recommended to visit the rest of Croatia. 😉

Too bad there is no ❤ reaction option for the video. Much love for Slovenia from Croatia!
@thecrazypcgamer8 Thank you!
Eden boljših posnetkov te trase :)
@MrMiha1971 Najlepša hvala. Lep dan vam želim.
Überraschend: In Kroatien (fast) perfekter Zustand des Bahnkörpers!!
@wolfgangfuchs1243 They are working on the various projects to improve infrastructure ..
Great ride! 🇸🇮 🇭🇷
@space.cowboyyyyy Yes it was!
Pozdrav odličan video. Hoće li biti prema Sunji i Volinji
@nikoladidulica2796 Hvala. I to imam u planu, na slijedečem putu u Hrvatsku.
Will you ever make a video recording of the retro Istria express train? (Budapest-South-Ljubljiana-Rijeka) flight?
@Vicces_videok Interesting suggestion. Will look into it.
So nice videos
@pranowobaris94 Thanks.
@@RailRelaxation so very good
Very good video. I love all the information you gave along the way, including the locomotive types. But you missed one locomotive at 1:11:30 that I thought was the best looking. 😉 Do you know what it was? Thanks!
Edit: and another locomotive at 1:27:23. not as nice but still good, I'm thinking original.
Thank you. The first locomotive is a museum steam loco SH 1 manufactured by Vulcan-Werke on 1913. The second one in Sevnica is a museum loco 62-360 manufactured by Đuro Đaković on 1953. Wishing you nice day!
Auf dieser Strecke fuhr der Simplon-Orient-Express !
@fredpalmer260 Yes. That must have been a great journey. Would love to be able to do it....
Great video Thank you! Please is it really that there is no longer passeport control between Coatia and Slovenia ?
You are welcome. Yes, there is no longer passport control from January 1 this year.
@@RailRelaxation ☺🌹
😊👍🙌
@mercmer.... Thank you.
@vincenzodeleo268 I think it is an infrastructure and the terrein, but both Countries are currently investing a lot in improving the infrastructure.
Odlicno

When does this train go from Ljubljana to Zagreb every day
@globetrotterwien There are 3 trais from Ljubljana to Zagreb daily, at 7.05, 12.50 and 19.38.
@@RailRelaxation Thx
Timetable of SLO railways says: 8:30, 14:45 & 18:37 daily.
@@damirko8644 Thank you for correcting me. @globetrotterwien I am sorry. I confused it with the timetable from Zagreb to Ljubljana. Now you have both.
