just made this.. my batter curdled after adding the wet ingredients..I kept going as this can happen with Swiss BC but first time with cake batter. It turned out great, batter looked just like yours..haven't eaten it yet though..not until tommorrow. any ideas as to why that happened?

renae Yes you probably could if there’s one out there THAT YOU LIKE and are familiar with. I didn’t suggest it in the video because I don’t drink those.

Hi auntie Carolyn. I would like to try this cake but I only have dry wines (South African merlot). Would it work or would I need to do some adjustments to the recipe especially for the batter?
I just went ahead and used the dry wine then used simple syrup rather than wine (teetotallers) after baking. It was perfect. Thanks once again.

mammogram9 The ‘crumb coat’ is that thin layer of frosting that goes first to catch all of the crumbs so they won’t be seen on the outer layer of frosting of the cake.

I made this cake last night. I did 3 layers wrong thing to do. It was dry. Next time I will follow the directions. Also I used the milk version. What can i do to get a more chocolatey flavor?

Hey Love, I’m still around☺️. I had to stop making content temporarily due to taking care of my elderly parents. My mom’s heart condition worsened so I had to give them my full attention. I’m hoping to resume making content in the fall. Thanks for checking on me. I appreciate the love🙏🏽💜
