Coming from a modest large family, some food is better than no food. And Strawberry Fanta is my favorite, good choice 👍
A little piece of advice, Great Value is the Walmart brand so it will always be cheaper, and just as good if not better. This is true of all stores; buy the store brand. Unfortunately you went to North Dakota so I guess that there are no international groceries. As far as rice goes you should ask your Indian friends how to make Basmati rice. There should be Great Value tomato sauce, and canned tomatoes. Never buy name brands unless they are on sale and cheaper than the store brand.

If you have a Dollar General nearby you should check them out too. They don't have anything close to the selection that Walmart has, but they do have the basics of food as well as cleaning supplies and toiletries for pretty cheap. Also they generally have a half decent selection of basic office/school supplies for cheap, and they generally have a rack or tel of some pretty generic clothes available if you're in a pinch.

How do those fruits and vegetables taste compared to those you by in the markets in Ghana? They are grown on large industrial farms somewhere else, and shipped cheaply over the interstate highways system. They are likely picked while very unripe, and they loose their flavor. Try would a farmers market in the area, and see if there is a difference?
