Detangling Type 4 Natural Hair: Fastest Wash Day Ever

**This is the detangling process for my kinky, coily hair---whether I'm shampooing/conditioning or just cowashing.**
If you have any kind of thickness or a substantial amount of length, you know that wash day could take hours, mainly due to DETANGLING! Here, I demonstrate an alternative to the "normal" wash day. If I need to cleanse my hair, but don't have time for the traditional, lengthy shampooing, conditioning, and detangling process this is what I do. I mimic the act of shampooing without actually being in the shower or sticking my head under water until it's time to rinse. Works well for any curly girl or guy!
To recap:
1. Instead of getting in the shower/sticking your head under running water to saturate the hair, saturate hair with water using a spray bottle.
2. Section hair as you go, apply the product to hair and scalp. Smooth your hands down the length of you hair and massage scalp using the pads of your fingers, as you ordinarily would when cleansing the hair and scalp. This will help to loosen dirt and excess oil. Use this time to safely detangle. Isolate the section by twisting, etc. to keep the hair nice and organized. Therefore, KEEPING those tangles at bay.
3. Once complete, rinse lightly. The rest that remains will serve as your leave-in conditioner. Now, it's time to style. FYI: I rocked a wash and go! ;-)

I will definitely try this! Love your wash and go's. I love using spray bottle with purified water and aloe vera during the week, however with low porosity you know the drill. Thanks for all you do and sharing. :)
