I'm SO glad I took the time to watch this particular podcast! I don't wear Oticon, but it was still so interesting. And this way, I'll know if I ever want to change the brand of hearing aids that I use. 😁

I had Oticon More 1 RIC hearing aids in the past. They did better with wind noise reduction than any other hearing aids I have worn. The connectivity was on the poor side so I didn't keep them.

I love the way you wear all these different hearing aids, Cliff, so that you actually know what your patients are experiencing. 😀

I finally got a chance to watch last week's podcast. I tried my hardest to watch it when you were actually broadcasting, but there was some sort of interference in the atmosphere, I guess. 😕 You're doing a really good job, Kelsey. It's fun to be able to see you for more than the last few minutes of the show. 😁

One thing glossed over about the Oticon EPOQ was that it was the first hearing aids that utilized streamer-based bluetooth, setting a new standard which many other manufacturers soon followed. It was the first time patients had a successful product built for their hearing aids that could connect the hearing aids with their cell phones. To me, this started a new era of hearing aid technology, later supplanted with direct connectivity of course, that still controls, to a degree, how the manufacturers steer their research and development. This was a HUGE change for hearing aid users.

Will Oticon utilize the Apple Watch in the new Oticon app?

I'm picturing Star Wars here, Cliff. How did we never get you and your brothers "light sabers" to play with when you were little. Bad parenting, I guess. (🤣🤣🤣)

I had a local Fitter (HA specialist) tell me that real ear measurements don't matter with newer models like widex Sheer, which he claims has REMs "built in." Is there any truth to this?

I strongly discourage anyone from buying Oticon hearing aids. I am still unable to hear clearly, even after multiple attempts of fine-tuning the hearing aid. The clinic where I purchased the product has refused to provide a refund or exchange, saying that they have already written the warranty card. Additionally, Oticon's customer support has been unhelpful and rejected to help. I believe that investing in Oticon hearing aids would be a complete waste of money.

I've found them to be quite good. Honestly who programs it makes a massive difference! I've had 3 different audiologists tune them and the difference is huge! Maybe try going to a different clinic?
