Sorry if this comment is sarcastic, but [dr billcat] 1. Fissure was a TM received from the 8th gym battle. 2. Even if you taught machamp fissure and transferred up, all transferred pokemon have their hidden abilities. Machamps hidden ability is Steadfast, so you can only get a machamp with fissure and steadfast, not fissure no-guard.
Wow, after all these years your finally back on yellow and got a new PB kinda fast, haha. Would be nice to see you go for WR eventually, you can defiantly get another PB at the least.
That's if he walks forwards, Blue the so-called "grandson" of Oak is actually a failed experiment in splicing Pokemon DNA with human. The Krabby genes within him mean that while his forwards walking is rather slow, if he walks *sideways* he outspeeds any human. The effects of this DNA splicing can also be seen in his notorious catchphrase "smell ya later". What regular human has that level of olafactorial receptors? One who has the genes of Arcanine the legendary dog within them, that's who. These powers come at a cost however, Blue is rather unstable emotionally, unable to emphathise with either Pokémon or human, he is alone in this world. Thus he feels abandoned, and treats both with contempt, merely means to an end. Only Red can bring back sense to his mind.
is there a FAQ for this run? why does he walk behind oak to obtain the pokédex? and what is he (presumably) RNG manipulating when he saves before nidoran?
robel woldehana he walks behind oak so that the animation where Oak gets the Pokédex from the table doesnt get triggered and he gets it from dialogue directly.look at any Pokemon Yellow Playthrough, Oak walks to the pokédex, takes it and gives it to the Player and rival
The lavender tower ghost is treated as any other wild pokemon encounter, allowing you to use the poke-doll and effectively skip getting the silph scope at all.
I was surprised. But of course there is a thing called Pikachu bias. Where they make him the star of any and everything. Everyone else gets a regular cry!
...Only reason I am considering Sword and Shield now is because some of the female characters look fine. (Which is a really weak argument) Beyond that I just don't enjoy how Game Freak seems less competent at implementing new stuff than litteraly any other company they have lent the IP too. There are so insanely many other ways they could have gone about it in order to make this go better, but they don't. I remember watching a stream from Protonjon where he and some friends talked about this with litterly no clue what they were talking about. No background on the half finished features in Sun/Moon, no mention of how Game Freak have been expanding their game catalog and possibly been stretching their resources way too thin.... Genuinly annoying. And what kinda argument is it to ask your chat wether they would like more features or all Pokemon? It is a garranteed 50-50 where you can cherry pick your answer? Lost a lot of respect for him. (In my opinion, when that stream happened it was still so early that agruing so strongly for one side of it because you have "Experience working with Video Games" made no sense) I am an advocate for impartiality, I held a restrained view on the situation hoping Game Freak would clarify the situation or remedy it after seeing the backlash, but so much time has passed now that I just have to say it, Game Freak is out of touch. And it has been a long time comin.
Red: Alright mom I'm gonna go become the pokemon champion. Mom: Ok honey, just make just to be back by dinner. Red: Lunch, I'll be back by lunch. I expect my sandwich to be ready in 2 hours.
cow prosciutto you should try it again ツ in my experience this was actually one of the easier, and more fun games to play. granted i’m a lot more experienced than a kid would be, but it’s still a good time anyway, and lots of nostalgia (:
You should try it again, though make sure to get a Nidoran Male or a Mankey for the first gym, as Brock's Pokemon are very difficult to fight with anything else, especially Pikachu.
awawa thanks for the advice and encouragement guys, id love to try again, but sadly the saving system doesnt work on my copy anymore :( i could attempt a longplay if i ever have the time though!
Gotta love the facecam in the pitch black room every single video
BG it’s beyond iconic
Lmao I didn't even notice it was a cam
Legit didn't notice there was a "facecam"
22:20 Pikachu is like "bro wtf"
Finally after so long I was waiting for a pokemon speedrun video!!!👏
I've been waiting for another one of these. Yaaaay!
R u getting sword and shield
Guess who's back? Back again! Werster's back, GEN I AGAIN! WERSTER'S BACK, WERSTER'S BACK, WERSTER'S BACK!
Uhhuhu dumtsj dumtsj dumtsj
stupid.
If Werster was black, we wouldn't be able to see him in the top left
22:19 cold hearted move God damn..
That sweet ad revenue you get by just pushing it to the 10 min mark.
Absolute Legend!
welcome back 2 pokemon :)
Hmmm if only a no guard machamp with fissure...
Technically you can have that if you transfer up. Fissure was only a move tutor move in gen 1
@@SoggySlopster So much of that sentence is wrong.
@@SoggySlopster You can't transfer up to gen 3 without hacking and No Guard wasn't even in Gen 3

You know... if your rival walks at about half the speed you do, how does he keep ahead of you at each location?

Also when is he running Yellow at the ASM?
At 7:35PM on Saturday, according to the schedule on their website.

He saves before Nidoran so he can manipulate RNG to get a Nidoran with good IV
thx y’all appreciate it
Why has the 1:55 run essentially been wiped off the internet?
now this is it
Such a nostalgic game ❤ My favourite part was always ditching Pikachu into the PC.
Ol cotton eye joe
I’m very glad that there is another one 👌🏻
How are you loving pokemon to an extent that you can just keep replaying the games over and over? I just can't imagine this, haha..
I'm loving Pokemon to that extent
Because it grew onto us as little todlers
@@Jacrepid2 I enjoy watching, researching but not playing over and over xD
Are you planning on getting the WR?
Looks like im not sleeping tonight
Could you do a run in platinum where you get the golden seals from the battle frontier?
Never knew you could give a poke doll to the ghost....
The lavender tower ghost is treated as any other wild pokemon encounter, allowing you to use the poke-doll and effectively skip getting the silph scope at all.
Awesome vid. Is Mega Punch the new strat now for yellow or is this just something you’re trying out?
Nvm the benefits are obvious
I've never seen anything of Pokemon Yellow... wtf is that Pikachu cry.

why save and quit
Would it be worth trying to just walk thought the grass to save maybe 1-2 seconds on the way back from getting Oak's parcel?

One of these days
GG DUDE 👌
Can someone explain what does any % mean?
Sadavi completing the game but not necessarily completing 100% of the content. Like completing Super Mario 64 but only getting 70 of the 120 stars.
