Some of you are asking for a links to my music. I've had a bunch of artist projects over the years, but I'll list some below if you want to check things out! I have some personal artist projects on Spotify if you guys wanna look them up: Ethan C. Davis Candyland John Balaya Earth 2 Ethan Mr. Popular Dropout Other artists I've produced for (that I'm allowed to talk about): Mark Barlow Jackson Guthy Brooke Sierra Matoma FMLYBND Tory Ruperto Ryan Ellis DENM
Thanks for this. I released several EPs on a label where the head of the label (who is an international DJ) has made all kind of promises for the past 2 years regarding booking me for gigs but never delivered. Then a person who left the label told me that essentially he was using my music to further his own career like I’m some stepping stone. I never asked for anything as I was just glad to be able to put my music out to a larger audience but now hearing this news and this person essentially going mute on me has put me in a state of writers block, I haven’t been able to finish a track in 4 months and it’s causing some serious depression. Seeing this video and your message about not quitting makes me want to give it another shot and crack on. Thank you
One thing I've done is creating when I'm happy, lost, angry, depressed...creating makes me happy, is therapeutic and it helps me put whatever emotion into the art that I'm feeling at the moment. I wish you the best gent! Don't let that person take your craft from you 🤟🏾🖤🌻
I like the video a lot! I do have a question though since I don’t really know much about the marketing side of music currently. I was just wondering what platforms I would need to post my music to get it noticed and to build an audience. Some people say that you need to post content on ALL platforms (instagram, tiktok, facebook reels, etc.), but to be honest, the music I create wouldn’t really fit that well with short form content. I mean, it could fit, but it wouldn’t really feel authentic to me. I know that’s how our attention spans are these days but I was wondering if it was still possible to grow an audience just using youtube, spotify, and maybe soundcloud if people are still really using it. I’d probably be more up to doing instagram or other short form content once I gained an audience and was going places and not just posting cheesy tiktoks and taking pictures of my studio 😂. However, it seems that the most important time to post to all socials is when you are starting out, so I am a little conflicted.
I find you to be incredibly inspirational! I discovered your UA-cam account a couple of weeks ago and I find myself rewatching your videos several times specifically for the inspiration. You’re awesome Ethan! G’day from Sth Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you bro, your story is very inspiring. I love your videos and your humbleness, the way you express open-heartedly, makes the audience connect with you on a different level. You're like a mentor for all of us, a mentor that we don't deserve but we need.
Came for the ableton tutorials, stayed for the inspiration! Consistent value here. Your channel is going to blow up, im sure of it. I'm just starting out at 35yo. Not planning on becoming a pro or getting streams, i just want to be able to make music that me and my friends can enjoy, and i fully expect it to take years to get there. But this channel js definitely going to accelerate things, so thank you!
Dude! Every time I come here it feels illegal😂 You give your viewers so much value for free, thank you so much!! Your channel is definitely underrated.
i just realized you are the producer behind NICOTEEN and CONFIDENT - those are bangers and ive been listening to em alongside watching your videos. had no idea they were connected! keep it up man
truly a blessing & answered prayer to come across your channel. even though i've been producing on & off for a lifetime (well feels like it). i totally forgot how to have fun w/ making music which was experimenting/sampling vinyl records from thrift stores & recording from whatever. tho it wasn't radio ready, i enjoyed the process & felt alive, refreshed, & ready to tackle whatever my career/goals were at the time. but over the years, changing careers, moving, family of my own, i've kept coming back to producing music & learned so much from others here on youtube & feel i have enough in my tool kit to make a decent song. but still feel its not enough. so its just that leap i think we need to do to put it out. from there still it might not be up to a standard from my fav producers /songs, at least you learned something like you mentioned. also know that its your own unique story to get to where you are now. just listen to the progression of quality to your fav producers mix tapes to albums overtime. so thanks brother for sharing your journey. all the best to you =)
Dude thank you!! Started producing a year and a half ago. And haven't release anything I guess due to being hard on myself making sure it's at 100 percent.
Good video as usual I am currently trying to remake my favourite songs. However I find it hard to hear buss compression or mastering settings. How do I do this? Thanks
But how do you measure quality, in a world where unceasingly polished as well as raw and rough songs are rewarded... tight or loose, organized or unpredictable, performed or sequenced... seems impossible
that's a great point! I usually try to be able to make music that sounds the same as the top 50 in terms of quality, and then deconstruct from there. it's like when great painters can paint a realistic portrait, but choose to paint something that looks like a child painted it because they feel that expresses things better for them. learn the rules, then break them tastefully
@CompleteProducer awesome. Could you please tell me how deep are you trying to go? How extensive or how many hours are you planning to ultimately add to it?
To be honest there's no telling where it'll end. I have a whole section on Music Business and Advanced Production that I'm building out right now. I don't have an end in site for adding more content to it. The main portion of the course is done and what it is designed to do is accomplished through the core 40 videos. Everything else is icing on the cake for people to go even further if they chose!@@Mindscapelofi
Hold on, hold on.....let me guess....you and your gf broke up in the middle of the tour because she became insanely jealous and paranoid, thinking you were cheating on her with dozens of hot groupies every night.....even though you were clearly faithful because nobody brings their gf on tour unless he's fsithful 😅

One of the best channels in this music niche tbh you're videos are highly helpful Ethan. Would love to see your vocal mixing process bro 🙏
thanks so much! next video is on mixing!!

Hey why is the complete producer pro site not working
Hello brethren! There's no reference video linked at 4:44, figured I'd let you know just in case you intended to and just didn't get to it
Dude thank you!! Started producing a year and a half ago. And haven't release anything I guess due to being hard on myself making sure it's at 100 percent.
Going back to my DAW, now!
woo! you got this
Always good vibes 🎉🎉🎉
Telling the world your MacBook wasn't that great of a laptop - based.
I had a similar experience around that time.
Good video as usual
I am currently trying to remake my favourite songs. However I find it hard to hear buss compression or mastering settings. How do I do this?
Thanks
Where is your site for potential ghost producing? Do you still do this service?
i don't do this anymore really...sorry!
@@CompleteProducer agggghhhh. Ok! Thank you
Hey, remember to add the song link!!!
11:01 you know Heidi Baker…😮

Thanks for what you are dong ! : )
I want to buy your course but I'd like to know how many hours of content it has overall.
it has around 10 hours of content right now, but I'm trying to add more to it weekly!

The best electronic producer by far hands down is Dave Tipper
I need a teacher. Anyone have any ideas where to turn to get help learning pro level production?
This channel!
@CompleteProducer Yes, I am learning a lot. Thank you. I am just frustrated at times. Your motivation helps me not to quit. Thanks again.
I'm working on 1 million streams. 👏
you got this! focus on the music first and the rest will come if you keep going!
First person here
Yeah, I can't look at the charts for guidance because in my opinion, most of the music in the top 20 sucks
Title = hard unsubscribe. Nobody loves a "not very humble bragger".
no worries (: sometimes it's hard to watch the first 30 seconds of a video in order to realize someone is trying to help you
Camera zooms a little too frequent
How much did you pay for your Spotify bot? Please can you link so I can get a million plays too?
i paid with 10 years of working my BUTT off hahaha
