I always thought that my dad was abusive but having experience with women made me realize that his emotional outbursts were in response to her abuse. Also, all the things she said about him were just her projection. She said he treated her like a doormat and that he was a narcissist. What kind of narcissist has spent decades on his weekends helping old and needy people fix up their homes and cars?? My mom never lifted a finger to help anyone but herself
All our dads become more humanized as we get older because we take up their roles and responsibilies and everything they did now make sense. I was always on my moms side growing up now that I'm an adult I'm never on her side infact I end up chastisng her like my dad did when I was a kid.
Exactly the experience with my ex. 1. I scraped myself off the filthy floor. Wiped my tears. Got in the gym. Great diet and supplements for mental health. Focused on money. Attracted a younger hotter tighter woman. Screwed both for a while while she knew. Kept fighting alot so we split again.
2. Covid. She couldn't work anymore so she asked to move back in. The damage was already done. Didn't work.

The most valuable lesson that I learned in my 33 years which includes also a beautiful 5 years marriage from which I just got out is that women are always making plans. Everything looks ok but they are actually always making plans to move on which we, men, don't do. They make screenings continously. They won't focus on the good things that recomend you as a man but rather hang on small details which I feel like they allow themselves to get affected by them on purpose to serve them later.
I'm in my 60s. It is rather depressing to think of how the dating landscape looks these days. However their are some women out there who haven’t been what we called “modernized” and still value integrity and meaningful relationship and those are the women you want to be married with.

Most men think that once they get the woman they can stop being the man who attracted her in the first place, No. The second you stop being the same guy you were when she met you (Yes this includes going from being a player to being loyal) that's when the attraction decreases. What attracted them to you in the first place is her imagination of who you are. When people first meet, they don't truly know each other. Even after a few dates, you both won't know each other that well, but maybe well enough to find the other person attractive. The longer you're with that person, the more you learn about them. So what you're saying is actually impossible. You can't only be the person she "imagined" you were because you can't read her mind and plenty of times, if she no longer finds you attractive she will not take the time out of her day to tell you what she doesn't like about you. That will be the moment she will start ghosting you or acting strange around you. Of course, every individual chooses what type of person they're in relationships but today's dating game is definitely screwed up.

I'm from South Africa, and its exactly the same here modern women here are on a movement to betasize men. This is a global issue.
