    This guy's a fucking legend man. Doing things without managers and trainers and making it sound easy as fuck. All these ufc guys with massive egos would never do it and also whine about it. Unsung hero in the fighting world

      Aman Mishra it's a disservice to combat sports that guys like JWD and Ramon dekkers are so unknown in the world of combat sports. The UFC has become the walmart of combat sports. It's killed all other prestigious tournaments built around other martial arts. It's a bit sad. RIP diamond. Live on and find great success JWD. You deserve it.

    I totally understand the sleep paralysis part, I have suffered from it since I was 16, so almost 10 years. I have seen the 'ghost' or 'old hag' 2 or 3 times and it is terrifying! I find it very weird that so many people all over the world experience seeing the same thing.

    • @cpt_kirk
      @cpt_kirk 9 років тому +1

      yeh I've had sleep paralysis 3 times. First time was completely terrifying. thought I was gonna have a heart attack. its just from being really tired and your brain not wanting to shut down

    • @jammiiee
      @jammiiee 9 років тому +3

      George Barcenas Well it's actually unexplainable to be honest, but I think it's stress that causes it more than anything because I started getting it about 2 months after my mum died. And I would get it about 2-5 times a week for a long time, now I get it maybe once very couple of months, but I've learned how to lucid dream over the past few years and doing that helps prevent it, for me anyway..

    • @Devorantem
      @Devorantem 9 років тому +4

      Waking sleep paralysis is actually explainable. It is a hiccup in the brain during the transition from sleep to wakefulness, of course sleep paralysis in and of itself is there solely to prevent us from acting out our dreams. There are many ways to 'break free' from sleep paralysis, the most effective one I find is disrupting your breathing pattern ie. hold breath for 2 seconds, breath, hold breath for 4, breath etc. or some variation of that usually does the trick.
      What you see though, that all comes down to mentality. If you're scared, more often than not you will project scary things. If you're calm and relaxed, (at least for me) you don't see or hear anything but a soft buzz (sometimes you even see pleasant things, but rare), you're just unable to move/talk unless you use one of the 'break free' methods and you're lucky enough that it works. You make a good point at the end, sleep paralysis is a super beneficial tool to transitioning into lucid dreams, I feel bad for people with SP who don't embrace it and use it as a tool for something much more awesome, they're missing out...

    • @Dke123
      @Dke123 9 років тому

      ***** how does one lucid dream? ive tried but dont think it works :(

    • @jammiiee
      @jammiiee 9 років тому

      LogicalThinker7991 Well yeah that's true what you said about it being a 'hiccup' during the transition from sleep to wakefulness, but I don't think anyone has actually explained how it happens? And I would breath very heavily and aggressively while trying to wiggle my toes to break free, sometimes it would work and others it wouldn't.
      clemyobon as LogicalThinker7991 said, sufferers from sleep paralysis tend to have an easier time lucid dreaming & astral projecting, but it's still possible to do. Everyone really has their own techniques to do it. The first time I became lucid was by accident believe it or not, and it took me maybe about 6 or 7 hard attempts to become lucid again, but I wasn't trying to do it like every night, just occasionally. I become lucid quite frequently now & it's a lot of fun :)

    4:00-6:15 Joe wants nothing to do with the great point John Wayne Parr is making explaining that Glory and kickboxing in general have no real superstars known to guys at the local bar type thing. I mean GSP, Anderson Silva are some pretty big names. He's saying they promote the fights better and let you get to know them with the previews and hype up videos of the fight. He thinks kickboxing needs more of that. Joe just wants to keep talking about a complete difference subject and blows him off with fake "uh yeaahs".

    Jwp is a really amazing dude and deserves all the respect. He is another Ramon dekkers, or even more, a kid who went to Thailand, lived their lives from a young age, became a thai fighter by his own right and a legend with so many fights. Got a family of fighters and a very humble dude. If he went for the media and fame more he would probably be a lot more famous but he chose to fight and stay humble and real instead. If you have respect for buakaw or any top thai fighter, you have to respect parr

    Joe has a diluted perception of Floyd Mayweather jr. The guy was never in a war because the guys he fought were several classes below him im talking like C and B class fighters. Hes picked and chosen guys he matches up with. If say Jon Jones did what he does and said Oh i dont want to fight Anthony Johnson ill fight a past prime Rampage again Rogan would be first one to criticize . This is what Floyds done his entire career it took him close to 6 years to fight Pacquiao and this is after Pacquiao has slowed down quite a bit physically. Hes never fought a truly great boxer in his prime. Each time a very dangerous guy surfaces like Sergio Martinez even years ago when he surfaced as a p4p guy guy offered to go to 54 and Floyd said ah hes too big. The all time greats of past didnt do this theyd jump up and down and fight killers at each division they didnt give a fuck thats why they were in "wars" thats what happens when u consistently fight the biggest threats and dont get to pick and choose your way around the crowd. Not to mention the talent level was much greater in past eras. The Marquez fight Marquez was still a lightweight and he jumped 2 weight divisions to fight Floyd and Floyd didnt even honor the catchweight. Marquez was flabby and looked awful he looked like a blown up lightweight where as when Manny fought him he got couple years more experience putting on the size and getting new fitness trainer and stuff and he looked way better physically against Manny.
