My favorite part of Mr Ramsay’s egg video is he says “cook it like a risotto” and someone commented “I’m watching a video on how to make scrambled eggs. You really think I know how to cook a risotto?”
Loool Tru
"we should have kids at the same time so that we can raise them together" is the wildest thing for your boss to say to you but josh pulls it off
Thank you for testing this out! I was vegan for 25 years until I got chickens. Now that I have pets who poop breakfast I’ve been trying to figure out how to cook eggs.
I love backyard chickens, I miss having them but I don't have time to care for them. 😞
Good thing you’re getting fresh eggs. Fun fact: since they’re fresh from the chicken, you don’t have to fridge them. But you do have to wash them before you use them.
"pets who poop breakfast" 😂
To add to MelBell’s comment, if you put on some gloves and wash, dry, and coat your fresh eggs in mineral oil, place them in a clean dry carton small side down, you can store them for up to a year in the fridge, or around 3-6 months on the counter, depending on the temp and humidity.
If you learn how, poached is a good way unless you hate runny yolks.
I would consider unfertilized eggs vegan. The bird has to lay, you are not exploiting her and she isn't being harmed. Indeed, she is being cared for.
Another good way is deviled eggs, you can make your own mayonaisse. It's fun and not difficult.
Nicole’s dad’s relationship with Josh is the sweetest thing ever 😭
I know shiping is weird but i ship nicole and josh
@@awsomesauselolz5831I ship Josh and Nicole's dad
@@awsomesauselolz5831 You're right, that is weird.

22:51 I love how Josh says she is an “upstading member of the ‘Hewish’ community,” as if such a thing exists. Lmfao!
I like how every outro is the crew helping Josh overcome his touch anxiety.
That's interesting because I always saw it as torturing him using his touch anxiety lmao XD
@@kaileysoares5738 Exposure therapy! Pretty much the same thing in this context!
Nicole's dad REALLY liking Josh is just the wholesome I needed this morning 💜
this is exactly how i already make my eggs haha but i really believe that black pepper should really be a part of this conversation
Black pepper is something that should be included in most dishes. Only after plating tho :)
Seriously! Eating eggs in any form without black pepper is just robbing yourself.
I made an extra fine black pepper for popcorn (spice milled into the consistency of fine ash), and it was the perfect way to get the flavor into eggs without hitting a crunchy bit from the peppercorn.
Black pepper and cayenne, no salt
@@andrewreidy18 Always salt
16:27 Josh: "They're not fluffier, they're just milky."
Nicole: "Is it a more enjoyable eating experience?"
Josh, not even 10 seconds later: "It's fluffier."
Right? 😂
I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one to notice that
Josh: "the proof is in the fertilization...when a mommy and daddy love each other"
Nicole: "why do you ALWAYS talk about that?"
Josh to Nicole: "What's your favorite type of egg?"
Nicole to Josh: "Fertilized."
That fight sounded like an unhappy married couple's quarrel which I thought was hillarious.
"Fertilized"? Is that a hint, Nicole?

Josh and Nicole together on myth munchers is exactly the chaos i want to start my mornings with
I love how "Queen Sweep" has become a thing throughout Mythical because of Rhett accidentally saying it one time.
Nichole's story about her dad liking Josh is about the most wholesome thing I've watched in a while
I just wonder if they've become friends
I appreciate Trevor representing the over medium egg life! They’re just jammy and perfect~ and if you cook them a little over or under they’re slightly less perfect, but hardly a faux pas.
"I just don't know if I like it," Trev said, fourth mouthful of eggs en-route
I love over hard eggs, I'm not a fan of runny eggs White's, but if someone gave me runny eggs it's eat them. Eggs are delicious and I'll eat anything good lol
I love over medium but I cannot flip an egg, without breaking the yolk, to save my life.
@@mediocrates5233 a pretty good trick is to put a little water in the pan and cover it so the top steams, it’s great for me because I don’t like runny white or crispy egg but I’m horrible at properly poaching
Trevor: I eat the least amount of eggs.
Also Trevor: going ham on the test plates
The best kind of eggs are the ones you don't have to cook.
It appears that he consumed marijuana before eating
“The Oedipus coefficient” I’m absolutely dead at that, Josh is a nerd and his humor kills me!
I would love to see Josh cook something with Nicole's dad! That would be so wholesome 🥰
Almost immediately after watching this, I made myself a plate of scrambled eggs and followed your results, and hot damn these are delicious
UPDATE: I've made eggs using this method for almost everyone I know now. They all agree they are simply the best, and better than any other method for scrambled eggs. Everyone asks me how I make them, and I always tell them Mythical Kitchen taught me. This series has honestly really helped me figure out cooking, idk if that was the intention of Myth Munchers, but I am glad for it. Thanks Mythical Kitchen
Trevor saying "I'm focusing on my one pan" made me realise not everyone who cooks has been a busy line cook
I think that's true of most people who cook
Josh: "this is the happiest I've ever been in life"
Also Josh: immediately turns and retches
I’m in total agreement with Trevor on one point: I want my custard custardy, and my eggs eggsy. I don’t want to have a custardy scrambled egg, it’s not my preference. I want pieces
Josh's obscure TV and movie references are amazing. "May I offer you an egg in this trying time?" is one of the best ones yet.
Which movie or show does he reference with that line?
@Coentjemons it's always sunny in Philadelphia
Hahahaha when Josh goes to shout "2 more minutes on eggs chef!" Even tho it was like a second... I get it man! When you're in the kitchen and someone asks how long, it's ALWAYS "2 MINUTES!"
Watching Josh bash Gordon Ramsey after just watching the Gordon Ramsey Last Meals that came out today is hilarious to me
this is probably the only cooking channel where i’m in love w/ EVERY crew member. this seems like a fun team to work with. BTW Nicole that selfie WAS beautiful! YOU are so beautiful!!!!

@@DaniJHollis We both experienced Unus Annus, Friend. We’ve seen worse
@@DaniJHollis My thoughts exactly. Ew...
This series was my intro to mythical kitchen. I binged the series and watched a bunch of other older stuff. This series is by far the king of this channel -- possibly all of mythic. These 4 with this format and formula is lightning in a bottle.
It’s so underrated imo they don’t push this series and it’s sad
I think Nicole was spot on when she said that she thinks she just cooks eggs better than Josh. I don't think some of those rounds were actually decided by the method as much as they were decided by the chef
when nicole said “that’s fine, honey” to trevor that was the reassurance i needed for today
Josh cooked his eggs quite a bit faster than Nicole in the first step -- and the last step. That's what makes the difference, IME. Cooking 'em slow gives a creamier texture. I think when you add salt is irrelevant. The cold pan was way hotter than the hot pan in the last step. I think Nicole really just is better at cooking scrambled eggs.
She is better at cooking everything. I went to culinary school and it is CLEAR that he hasn't had any classical training and she has. I watch all of the videos, and his lack of basic techniques that we are taught early on in culinary school is obvious. I still love this channel! I just wish Josh would focus more in understanding WHY we are taught to do things a certain way in culinary school and HOW that affects the final results of the meal. Most of these things are obvious to people with any sort of classical training.
Yeah it didn’t make any sense how the “cold pan” eggs were done before the hot pan eggs. Definitely a major difference in technique
@@hollyj3601 him not being classically trained and not caring about the techniques is half the fun of this show. I wish pompous people would understand WHY those techniques don't matter to this channel.
@@hollyj3601 get off your high horse Holly
I wonder if you would make the same choices if you do double blind tasting because people can be biased on what they know and see; and more people that do the taste test, because taste differ. Nice video, it seems like you're having a lot of fun.
to make a fluffy scramble without adding anything, use a very very small frying pan the taller the eggs are on the pan the fluffier it gets.
try scrambling in sour cream
Wait...really?? I never heard that before.
Can confirm that method
Love this! My mother in law questioned me why I don’t put oil on my pasta…we referenced the pasta episode. Thanks for helping me prove my MIL wrong :)
as someone that thinks gordon ramsay makes the most disgusting eggs on youtube, hearing you call them a hollandaise sauce really hit the mark for me.
@@Jay37_tech you are wrong they are a disgusting slimy meas
With all the love and respect in the world, they're so delicious! The texture seems a but weird but their perfect...
Believe me, those eggs weren’t the weirdest scramble I’ve seen. I saw this one recipe where the guy cooked his eggs, cream, and butter in a double boiler.
I love Chef Josh, but I really enjoy when we get to see V, Nicole, and Trevor! Thanks Mythical Kitchen!
J - "Nicole, how do you like you eggs?" 🤔
N - "fertilized!" 🤣
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Oh, oh hot dog.
Sounded like some passive egg-rassion towards her husband. 😅
I love how sassy Nicole looked when they both tried her salted at the end eggs
I love this series… it’s my favorite thing on the Youtoobs… the whole process of testing the different methods brings me so much joy!
This is especially true with pans that have been used, but pans often have micro cracks at the surface. When you pre-heat the pan, the heat will expand the metal of the pan and force those micro cracks closed. If you throw eggs into a cold pan and then heat it up, the eggs get stuck in the micro cracks and won't come out with regular washing.
Nicole just placing her hand near Josh's heart and then placing her other hand on her hand to hug him is the cutest and wholesome thing i have seen today
This entire show and everyone on it is pure chaos and I love it with my whole heart
as a person with two dads I appreciate josh for understanding that families come in many forms. thanks josh

Just made the perfect scrambled eggs this morning. Thanks for tips. Love the Mythical Kitchen crew!
as a college student who is starting to cook for themselves, this is my favorite series
Dude I just turned 40 and I still think it's useful, haha. Ain't no one got time to try every method like this! They're doing great work for us. 😊
Don’t even bother with heavy cream, just cook them a little bit less than normal and they’ll stay brilliantly creamy! I always use low heat and turn off the burner for the second half of cooking them and just let the residual heat do its job! Butter and some pepper are essential IMO, but milk and heavy cream are very much optional!
Just tried these perfect scrambled eggs tips for my breakfast. Tell me why I just made the best eggs I’ve ever eaten 😂
SCIENCE. Science, and friendship. XD
Gotta do em on low heat and take em off early while letting the residual heat cook them the rest of the way. I never use milk or cream and they’re still beautifully creamy, you gotta undershoot em a little and you’ll love em even more!
This is why I internet. I tried your grilled cheese winner and am def excited to try the new egg royalty. This series is the best.
I tried their grilled cheese winner this weekend. It was *chefs kiss 💋
They didn't do the cold method right at all, just so you know
@@TheMorbidHobo we're gonna recreate the whole experiment. Curious tho, what do you think should have been done differently?
@@TheLadyGeekOG It's not what I think, the method was not done properly at all.
Heat up the butter in the pan, add the eggs, and go for one minute on heat and one minute off heat, all the while mixing the eggs with a spatula to take the thin layers of cooked egg off the bottom on the pan. Back and forth until the eggs are done.
You end up with a consistant fluffy mixture rather than chunks.
Gordon Ramsey did a video on it that apparently Josh did not watch.
Not sure how well it works with heavy cream, though.
@@TheMorbidHobo it is what you think, along with whoever came up with that method. Just because you're taught it in school doesn't make it the right way for everyone
whoa I was literally thinking YESTERDAY that I wanted you guys to do this!!! that's insane! so excited to watch :)
Meggie Gram is my new favorite meta/breaking-the-fourth-wall moment ever for Mythical Kitchen. For me, it's genius. I love this channel so much.

Man I love these episodes. Y’all are doing IMPORTANT work. Keep it up y’all!
How is it important? None of them can actually cook and they aren't following any scientific method. The only thing these videos are good for is a few chuckles.
To make truly fluffy scrambled eggs, place eggs and salt in a blender, then whip at maximum speed for 30 seconds, then pour into a warm, medium-low pan that has 1 tbsp of melted butter per 2 eggs in it. Scrape the bottom of the pan with a spatula every 30 seconds until the eggs are as done as desired.
Plate and serve.
Congratulations Trevor!. Already subscribed, can't wait.
Josh and Nicole talking about their future Mythical babies 💜
This was a good idea to do because I had someone make eggs for me once "the right way" and they were THE WORST. Bust those myths, baby!

The Universe Man I've Literally Been Focusing On Trying Cooking The Perfect Scrambled Eggs, The Past Two Months And BAM! Here Comes This Episode 😊 Thank You .
After seeing Josh put mayo in a ridiculous number of things I've started using spicy kewpie mayo in my scrambled rather than milk.
I use a ketchup/mayo mixture, so good.
Ooh that’s a good idea
Putting mayo on eggs is just putting more eggs (+ oil) on eggs.
You put scrambled eggs in your scrambled eggs?
That sounds delicious
So my dad always called his brown eggs "dirty eggs" and he taught me how to make them from a very young age, u must burn the butter before you put the eggs in the pan
burn or brown? browned I could understand lol
@@NamChin846 no it has to catch fire
Heck yes.
@@accidentalgenius8252 ahha okay I'll look it up. burnt butter doesn't taste well, I guess it's something else
Thank you for calling out Ramsey's eggs. They looked like deviled egg soup.
These videos are always so entertaining, you guys do a great job 💕
Like I don't even eat animal products and yet I'm still here for every upload. Lol
Those "Cold Pan" eggs are cooked at way to high a heat, youre supposed to put them on a low flame and stir them constantly when it gets up to temp which makes the curds substantially smaller. It's also over-cooked to the cold pan method. They shouldn't have a 'chew', it should be a creamy consitancy that you almost need a spoon to eat them.
I always call those type of eggs cottage eggs because the texture reminds me of cottage cheese. I’m the only one in my house that likes them like that though everyone else hates the texture but I love it.
@@deijix me too! It’s not something I always take the time to do, but I describe my perfect scrambled eggs as eggs I can spread over toast.
But not everyone likes the eggs soupy. I personally hate it. I like some fluff and density to my eggs.
@@danielplatts9446 then cook them the other way, my point was just that method was executed wrong.

I love the defenestration discussion. Its such an under explored topic of conversation tbh
I usually go with just eggs and salt, but sometimes I add a table spoon of sour cream instead of milk/heavy cream and it's soooooo good!
I wanted a few more things added to their test list.
Anthony Bourdain put Sour cream in his eggs, then put it on his menu and charged people like $25 for it.
What if you salted a little before AND after?
When do you pepper?
Should cheese be mixed in with the eggs?
This Should have been a bigger Episode!?
Nicole’s gonna be such a good mom
love the show and the bits are great
The chemistry between the Mythical Kitcheneers is amazing!
The milk makes it fluffy because you have to whip air in to mix it. Milk itself can fluff, a tiny bit, but i think its adding extra cellular moisture in the airated admixture, allowing it to cook evenly, without drying
I love eggs. I do a more japanese styled eggs, seasoned with soy sauce and mirin instead of salt.
High heat and scramble quickly and get it off the pan while it is still slightly wet to let the residual heat cook it a little more.
ive always thought expanding a youtube channel is so difficult because its so hard to find people who have the same style as you but also add something new so it doesnt feel like they are trying to copy a formula, but rhett and link i believe have done it. ive been on a mythical kitchen binge for the last few hours just like i used to binge watch gmm when i was younger. kudos
Since this episode Aired, I literally can’t eat eggs any other way! Nicole, you are a queen!!!! Heavy cream is magic!
You didn't test water?! Oi haha, I use water not milk, what I was taught in culinary and it works well
Yep, that's how my mom taught me too! Just a quick spray of water in the eggs and whisk the bowl at an angle so you beat air in - if there isn't bubbles in the mix, it isn't ready for the pan.
@@LaraRenee42 yep exactly. Completely homogeneous and bubbly
myth munchers is one of my absolute favorite segments from mythical kitchen. can you all do chicken wings!? and red sauce?!
I just want all the Josh & Nicole content. 🖤 They’re so funny together!
This series is too good. Please don’t stop
This whole episode is void because they didn't add cheese. I would have even accepted American cheese, normally I use cheddar. This may be slightly biased being from Wisconsin so take it with a curd of cheese. Love the show and the crew keep doing these please.
You’re not alone: my parents are midwestern, and I ALWAYS add cheese close to the end 😊
That's not the point of the test. Adding cheese makes these variables impossible to qualitatively measure. Just add cheese to the winning combo, mate.
I LOVE cheesy eggs! I'm English so cheddar for me and I'm the kind of person to put a ton of pepper on it too.
I'm just impressed with Trevor's dexterity to perfectly maneuver two bowls of eggs at the same time.
How about Vi and Nicole cooking 2 pans at the same time?? They definitely showed off multitasking skills in this episode.
the way Trevor says "eggs" is upsetting yet charming,, which is how I find the mythical kitchen crew.
i love having all three of my favorite mythical chefs in one video
It’s adorable that Nicole’s dad really likes Josh
Nicole’s dad needs to come to the mythical kitchen and cook with Josh! They can do a buddy cooking show!
There's never been more of a myth muncher episode that I've legit paid attention to than this one.
I like how Josh's piece to camera about his prediction was like a video mugshot.
You guys are missing cheese! I’ve never liked plain scrambled eggs (never tried adding milk or cream), but sprinkle in some shredded cheese (Monterey Jack or cheddar jack are my preferred) near the end and it makes a world of difference!
Yes cheese but i use grated halloumi, its already a salty cheese so you dont have to add any extra salt into the eggs
@@Paris.Tserpes well all cheese is salty but halloumi is a very salty cheese
@@malexthegreat yeah i learned from my grandmother and she was an old greek lady. I trust greek grandmothers with anything food related
And it makes all these other methods impossible to test qualitatively.
Eggs without cheese is like a sandwich without cheese or nachos without cheese or a cheeseburger without cheese. The world needs more cheese. What was the question?
Use plain fizzy water for super fluffy eggs!

Josh with the always sunny in Philadelphia reference. A true man of culture
What about pre whisked in the bowl vs whisked in the pan? I never whisk my eggs before putting then in the pan. They're sooo much better that way
That's the way grandma always makes eggs and I hate it, I much prefer them whipped up beforehand 😂 My grandma also says that mixing them in the pan is real scrambled eggs, whereas if you mix them before, it's not scrambled it's whipped
My dad does it in the pan and calls them squisheled eggs, lol. They turn out great! The key is to not overcook them.

Nicole! Saying “Uh oh! Hot dog!“ Perfect Bobby Lee impersonation from MADtv. I used to LOVE that show… That was one of my all-time favorites. So stinking funny all the time!!
I know it would be less fun and much more complicated but i feel like this should be a single-blind study. Them knowing which one is which definitely has some kind of impact on the results.
Love this series regardless, one of my favs!
