Just to clarify: so-called "baroque pitch" (A415) wasn't used in 18th-cent Venice, where pitch was similar to today's. We take our pitch from surviving Venetian organs of the period (A447 when this was filmed at the Pietà). For our new Gloria recording we used an Anciuti oboe copy pitched at A440.
I've heard so many renditions of this beautiful aria but this one touches my heart like no other. It is sublimely beautiful. The tone of the oboe is very sweet and the singer's voice has a certain soft sweet quality to it. She sings very expressively and with beautiful tone and a voice that is quite charming and lovely.
The most beautiful version i've ever heard. It inspired me to dance, a magical dance dedicated to heaven. I remember when I sang it for my exam, two semesters ago. As an artist, as well as a human being I'm very impressed with this interpretation: soprano´s adorable voice, and perfect technic of the other musicians; congratulations!!

Bellissimo video!!! Molto bella l'ambientazione settecentesca!!!
What a lovely video! She is so young and her voice is so gentle, and she sings so earnestly. This is actually better than the version I have with Suzie LeBlanc singing. It's got a more upbeat tempo to suit the youth of the singer.

a big bravo to all of you but especially to the baroque oboist that she has done a wonderful job!
We did try to get an A440 oboe, but had no luck! We were certainly impressed at the time...
Magnific ! One of best versions that I listen.
what a nice performance, what a sweet voice! Thank you!
In love with this performance! Amazing
Wonderful, the filming setup and coreography is also so cool, like a scene in a movie!
@MrDarknesslover To our ears, the sound IS different! And the organ at La Pietà is at A447, similar to other Venetian organs of the period.
wow que hermoso tanto oboe como cantante linda vos
Sublime!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼✨
Great baroque oboe playing ; and in C#!!!! My God.
What a compelling and harmonious performance! Very very beautiful.
Bravo Molly!! Bellísimo!

❤❤❤❤
Very beautiful singing. Her voice texture is not too mature/dark, but at the same time not too bright. But just right! :)
It is just lovely! Are you coming to Sweden?! I do really hope so! Feel most welcome!
grazie
@americanoboist right.. well, maybe everyone else is in C (447) and the oboe is in C# (440)...
Absolutely beautifull performance. Is that an Anciuti copy pitched at 440hz, made by Sand Dalton?
❤️💕💕
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
And what is that guitar-like thing called? (And I don't mean the string bass)
Those adlibs at the end kinda surprised me though...lol
@ericoschmitt : Fingerings say otherwise. It may sound 447, but she's definitely playing in C#.
Does anybody know who the lute
player is
Carola Grinberg
@americanoboist its not c#, just a=447

¡Que viva el músico y sacerdote católico Antonio Vivaldi!
c'est une version que je trouve très "enfantine"
@VivaldisWomen Me imagino! pero estoy seguro que igual disfrutan la música barroca!
