I love how you don’t skip teaching us the critical foundations... like how to make sure the noodles aren’t sticky or how to cook the perfect rice before you make the recipe. Makes all the difference!! 💖
That's exactly what i love too. Any other cooking show they make it look like magic, then when you create it at home its not the same! I have learnt so many technical small details from Marion that has taken my cooking to another level :)
she's so good....I watch so many cooking tutorial....her recipes and methods are the only one that I can follow through and achieve good results....so glad to find her video.... delicious 😋
I want to Thank you Marion. I’ve been binge watching your channel for the past month. I love to cook but Asian cooking at home was so intimidating so I never tried it until now. I never would’ve thought I’d have fish sauce or oyster sauce in my kitchen but I do now! Lol You’re a wonderful teacher. I grew up cooking and baking with my mum so I really love seeing you and Noi cooking together. She’s a treasure. Sending lots of love and thanks from Canada 🇨🇦
Effortlessly brilliant as always. I don't know what it is but the change of location and scenery adds a definite 'je ne sais quoi'. A MEGA FAN of your awesome channel, wish your sauces were available here in the UK. Hope Mama Noi is okay - her FAMOUS Thai sweet and sour prawns are a now a firm favourite in my household. Thank you and please keep safe.
Thank you Marion for posting such a wonderful and interesting cooking shows, not tired of watching , I can keep replaying over and over to watch repeatedly everyday…… it is a keeper!! especially when you eat the food , you are so natural and I feel as though I can taste it!! Well done !! ….. great job!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ greetings from Australia
I wish she had a vlog channel, I could binge watch it all day because she’s so calming to watch. I tried the pad Thai recipe in the video because I just so happened to have the ingredients, I didn’t have pad Thai noodles but I did had skinny udon noodles and it was amazing!!!
Marion, I had my doubts with the 4 ingredient pad thai sauce, even after making it and tasting it - but o.m.g. It tastes so yummy on stir fry veggies and chicken! My toddler gobbled up his broccoli and asked for seconds lol! Thank you for making such easy, pantry friendly sauce!!
I just made the pantry pad thai and i must say...it tastes no different than one made with traditional ingredients. Amazing - this will be one of my go-to recipes now. Thanks so much Marion!
Love you, Marion! You make cooking traditional Asian food from home a breeze. I used the chili sauce and substituted the crab with shrimp and it was a hit! Thank you!
Thanks Marion.. love seeing you out with your family, in your slice of heaven on the river in QLD.. Pad Thai is my all time favourite Thai dish.. but you’ve just made this look so easy.. Keep those top tips coming.. we need your expertise 🌞
This method totally works, quite unknowingly I tried to make a pad thai sauce with tomato puree couple of months ago based on the ingredient list I had seen in a bottle ready to use pad thai sauce and it was totally awesome! I am so glad Marion too acknowledges that tomato paste works! Loved it! Thanks so much Marion! :)
Thanks Marion, I am doing this for dinner tonight, you are spot on with the tomato paste substitution, the flavours are in there just as well....Love it! Welcome back to Aussieland :-) Take care always, Love from Sydney...Chelle
I am to be married soon and I was wondering what I would be cooking for my future husband...Cz I love cooking and trying new things, and you make every recipe so easy to recreate! I love this channel... with you by my side, I’m sure my future husband’s tummy will be very happy! Thank you Marion! ❤️
Thank you thank you for the quick version of pad Thai! I have been going nuts about looking for a shortcut to satisfy my craving! I will definitely try this out!
I was craving pad Thai and didn't have Tamarind so made the 4 ingredient pad Thai tonight and it tasted pretty good! Even my husband liked it. Thanks for this quick pantry recipe ❤️
I did this but, I had to add garlic, I only used egg, spring onions and fresh beanshoots no meat at all and, I added peanuts and homemade chilli oil over the top and it was soooooo delicious!! I loved it, my daughter loved it and it will become a regular dish on our table.
A new twist of Pad Thai ...Well done Marion. You're one of the best thai food youtuber cooks out there . Can u show us to make Thai sausage and som tum
I love everything you've made Marion, you've ignited my obsession with Thai cuisine and I'm so glad you and your family are doing well. Where's Mama Noi though? She's OK right?
Sidebar - your family is beautiful and you all make each video that much more enjoyable. A bright ray of hopeful sunshine in an otherwise murky time that brightens a regular mundane day. Thank you for holding us all up
Absolutely loving the new series, learned so much from the earlier shows and can’t wait to learn more annndddd get to see beautiful scenery Bless you and your family 🙏🙏🙏🙌
That’s what I call being resourceful yay! If we don’t have an ingredient we replace it for something that gets similar flavour. Good on you guys. I love cooking!😊🌼
Australia is such a beautiful place. Lived there for one year right after school in 2007/8 and also have re-visited since. My definite refuge if things go downhill here in Europe or Germany.
I made a vegetarian version of this pantry pad thai and I loved the sauce. For some reason I have never mastered the Tamarind paste but the tomato paste tasted awesome......Thank you!
Thank you for this! I've had such a difficult time recreating pad thai. I can never get the right ingredients and my noodles always stick together. Gonna try this soon!
Hey Marion , Hope you and your mom , new baby and your family is safe and doing well.. I have been following your recipes , I love the way you create fusion recipes.. big fan of your Asian cooking you are always inspiring.. love watching your videos though but it would be great if you try make few vegetarian recipes as well .. good luck with your new show and keep cooking.. 👍🏻
Made Pad Thai with the sauce (from pantry ingredients) 2x in the past, and in both times, results were not good. The noodles were sticky and the sauce was just not right. Turns out third time’s a charm. Just finished my third attempt and my god all your tricks worked! I’m such a fan! Pls continue to do what you do! - Gelo, Philippines
the tomato and vinegar replacement for tamarind (and vice versa) really does work... I once made butter chickeen without tomatoes, by replacing it with a store bought Tandoori marinade that surprise! actually uses tamarind as a base ... and it turned out amazing, my family didn't even know that I had swapped out the tomatoes.
I've been following you for several months, and you never cease to amaze me. Glad you are back in Australia, someday I will actually get there. Your Chilli Crab: I've been doing Singapore chilli crab for years. Heavy on the garlic plus ginger, chilli sauce rather than real chillis (I'm clueless as to how to use a fresh chilli - they all look the same to me, and some are thermonuclear), soy sauce and good ketchup. It's always a hit. But who thought of Xioashing wine and Black vinegar?! Genius. I hope. Best wishes from the top side of the planet!
I never have anchovy on hand and always substitute it with fish sauce so I'd imagine you could do the opposite? If you don't have fish sauce, anchovy could be a good substitute with a splash of lime?
I never ever in my life saw how you prepare a crab and it was so interesting!!! We don't get those here in Germany but i"ll just recreate the next recipe again 😁 but it looks so yummy and awesome 😍
Probably the reason presoaking the noodles works so well is bc it evenly rehydrates them so they cook evenly in the boiling water instead of the outside overcooking by the time the center is cooked.
I REALLY love the fresh crab recipe and especially as you humanely killed it. I have only had mud crab once, my family went on a fishing tour in Broome WA, I was the only one to catch a crab so we shared it but really, it needed sharing, ive never tasted such a rich meat, tasty but I could only eat a small amount as it was just SO RICH, I think a sauce would have helped this.
I needed this about 2 weeks ago when I attempted a pad Thai without tamarind and it was the most horrendous thing I’ve ever made 😂 Can’t wait to try the tomato paste trick!!
I just got stuff to make a make-do pad Thai with stuff I can find in the small French town where I live and this video is PERFECT timing for how to make it work. Thank you!!!
What a lovely place! You do such great things with food. I’m really enjoying this series. Australia has always been so gorgeous to me. Having grown up here in Hawaii I’m particular to being near the water. I need to visit one day :)
This episode I must say your most cordial and inviting. In the latter part devouring (heheh) the crab showed your funny side. I really loved your comic side here. Oooops...great recipe too!!!
Hi Marion, because of you and my love for Thai food.. Thailand has been a fave destination for food and shopping since I was a teen.. Took some cooking lessons there too. I am determine to open a small Thai resto here in the Philippines.. In my home province that will cater to university students..
Wow, you really make me so hungry. Crabs is Asia is very expensive. Good that your hubby can catch that there so fresh and with your superior cooking, i wish i could sits next to you when you cook that.
Oh gosh this was a cute episode! Love seeing your new cooking journey! Surely this would be good with the crabs we get in the states, right? Please say yes lol 😂😂 🦀
You can buy vegetarian fish sauce that's made from sea kelp if you're like me and allergic to fish and seafood. There's also vegetarian oyster sauce that's made from mushrooms. I found them at a vegan store online in Melbourne but some Asian grocers have them as well
Marion, I just ❤️ your new show! The b roll really adds to the already great content! Finally where did you get those dishes?! Can we buy them online? So elegant!
I am Thai living abroad I have tried so many of you dishes and it works quite well. So the sauce part might look disgusting for Thais I will try and let you know before judging:))) look yummy though as always.
Thanks for the stick noodle soaking prep pro tip, makes all the difference I was not ready for such a over powering fish sauce hit, just not used to the flavour I suppose, will try 2 tsp instead of the listed 2tbsp next time
Cook down some fresh anchovies into soy sauce till it melts can be substitute for fish sauce.. I do this for my kimchi.. It will give more deep umami and savory flavour.. Didnt try with dry anchovies though.. ☺☺
Dry anchovies is good too... Fry some anchovies till crisp. Then when cooled, blender it with some good low-sodium light soy. There you go... When i was on work overseas and fish sauce/nampla is hard to find... this is a quick fix or some anchovy paste mix with little bit of low-sodium light soy.
I love how you don’t skip teaching us the critical foundations... like how to make sure the noodles aren’t sticky or how to cook the perfect rice before you make the recipe. Makes all the difference!! 💖

I just had dinner. And now I’m watching this and I’m hungry all over again!
Love your pad Thai Marion. So simple, quick and easy to find ingredients.

The Pad Thai sauce works! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Is it 100% perfect? No.... But does it make a absolutely delish Pad Thai? Yes, yes, yes!
I'm here before Marion hits 1 mil. I know she will hit that very soon with the quality content 😍
Thank you for this! I've had such a difficult time recreating pad thai. I can never get the right ingredients and my noodles always stick together. Gonna try this soon!

and she showed people the most humane method of killing them, ie put them to sleep in the freezer. Great to see.

hahahaha i love your comment. I laughed so hard that I started choking. Same girl same.
Sugar, fishsauce or soy, lime juice, oyster sauce
@@MigglesMusic28 you never cook with lime juice; it will come out flavorless and bitter.
Okay wow. I'm in for this home pad thai recipe. I can do that!
Finally!!! This is the closest I've gotten to tasty pad Thai!!! Thank you

Marion: "I told you it wouldn't be attractive."
Everyone: Marion eating chilli crab is attractive as it gets.

5:05. Hurrahs for the diminutive red onion. My favorite of all the species.
I am Thai living abroad I have tried so many of you dishes and it works quite well. So the sauce part might look disgusting for Thais I will try and let you know before judging:))) look yummy though as always.
Yum, I so want some of that crab now. So delicious😋
High quality production!
Thanks for the stick noodle soaking prep pro tip, makes all the difference
I was not ready for such a over powering fish sauce hit, just not used to the flavour I suppose, will try 2 tsp instead of the listed 2tbsp next time
Looks so yummy! 😋 Also, your lipstick is undefeated💪🏻💋

Yummy, I love noodle! Thank you Marion!

Use canned

Thanks for the pantry-tailored recipe! I’d been using tomato ketchup + fish sauce + less palm or brown sugar but will try the tomato paste next time.
