Epic! Did you overlay the glowing signs in post or use black magic to add them in the fractal like that
Let me guess, you either used a different program than MB3D or you used btracer and did the texturing in other 3d software.
There's a possibility to use texture maps in MB3D, so that's what I did. Textures from windows and neon signs. Then some not-so-subtle After Effects glow.
Bulbtracer for scenes this size is not really feasible.
3:00 Looks just awesome. I would like to ask a question: Is there a possibility to render luminance of textures or colours in mandelbulb or do you create this luminance/glowing effect in After Effects (like 0:28) ?
It's mostly just a high-contrast texture with several Glows applied on it in AE.
I'm not even finished watching this and just had to say that this is really a dream of mine to learn to do even tho I almost washed it down the drain a while back. I'm just not sure where to even start to learn lol! Other than using Mandlebulb 3D. What do you suggest?
Mostly Mandelbulb3 really!
Apart from that I only use After Effects.
@@julius-horsthuis Oh ok cool! I use Blender and thats all I know how to use and still learning since it upgraded to 2.82 and now to 2.9 lol. The things I see in mine are NOTHING like I see in yours lol! Mine hates me! :'D

Thanks for the concern! Although I'd like a larger crowd as well, I use Vimeo as my main platform. So the Vimeo account mirrors YT's but it more often embedded in blogs, etc. Also I link to the Vimeo uploads almost exclusively.
I think it is technically impressive, though it felt (for me) like it missed part of its potential. I was hoping to see more of the city maze that you created, to sense the scale, the magnitude of this urban landscape. Instead, you cut this city of yours with some puzzling scenes, that for me did not connect so well with what you were going. Then, you end with an almost cliche allegory of the city as a woman. Overall, I really like what you build and showed. What is bugging me is the missed potential, if you get what I mean.
