I swear Fractals are like a place for Dead Gods.
Resting in an Infinite place where it's in absolute peace.
Got the notification... Instantly pressed the 'Fractalicious' setting on the home theater & got ready for the ride... thanks!
Absolutely magical beyond belief!
This would make a great Halloween window projection. Make this a half hour long and put it out on DVD for Halloween and you will make millions!!!!!
Avatar can pack it's bags and go home. Theres a new King in Town
2:31 - 2:36 was like a fractal creature gliding through its house or world.. amazing work. never cease to amaze!
you have no idea how much have inspired my drawings lately.
So very many universes visited in such a short time! Kudos.
Watching this turned me into a mermaid.
Perfect visual-sound-mind journey!💕
Omg. So beautiful, I needed a calm down session too, I’m drunk and manic! Much lov too u my dude🔥👌💯
Just AWESOME! More frequent updates please! Incredible masterpiece.
You Are Great Julius👍😍👍Super Amazing👈👄👉🙋
fantastic extraterrestrial worlds. it's like star trek
Incredible, love the colors.
This is absolutely fantastic, I can't imagine how much work this must have taken
I need to really crack down and learn After Effects and how tf formula animation works in MB3D; it's been something I've been promising myself I'd do for a long while -- as such it'd be interesting if I were to bring some of my fractal art into the realm of animation.
Holy Jebus thats a good video. Well done. love the layering, adds so much dimension.
Excellent! Those composits of various architectural forms with the fractal forms were brilliant.
Julius Horsthuis _"Come into my world..."_ 🤩 😍
insanely beautiful. I love that underwaterworld and the last campath ♥
Awesome work! A mind blowing visual feast! I commented a while back about how I look forward to the day when something akin to your fractal landscapes formed the playable area of a video game and this incredible selection of images is precisely what I had in mind. The inclusion of buildings among the constantly evolving panoramas is just how I imagined the game’s levels might look. I’m over sixty now and not in the best of health and my single biggest regret is that I probably won’t live long enough to see a game featuring landscapes like yours which I could play. So if some ambitious developer gets in touch with you to collaborate on a game please think of me and my dwindling years and get to work pronto. LOL! In the meantime I look forward to your next fantastic video. Keep ‘em coming! Cheers.
Thank you Marc, for the encouraging words. I'm sorry to hear you may not have the time to wait for such a game. Indeed, with current technology it doesn't seem likely to happen soon, because those fractals take weeks to render, and for a game this would have to be instantaneous.
There are ways around this of course, so maybe there is hope. For now I'm focusing on linear and pre-rendered work so happy to hear you're also looking forward to that! best of luck.

A good fractal to me is one that has variety, progression, smooth flow, central theme, morphing, lots of nicely blended colors, and with the right level of intricacy. Some of these clips meet those criteria. The one thing that is missing from visual fractals however is auditory fractals that are in synchronicity with the visual fractals. Type in "Autechre - Gantz Graf (Official Music Video) 1080p HD" in the UA-cam search bar to know what i mean by synchronicity between visuals and sound.
that was all hand animated...
úžasné magické super
This is so bloody good.. I mean the shots at the start are cool but the full on Dr strange warping stuff and the lights going off blew my mind wow wow wow! 😍 and also props to that music artist because the music is perfect! Love this Julius congrats!
💙💭 .. trippy vibes!
That's stunning. You always amaze me with your lighting and coloring!
superbe voyage...=)
great work 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Stunning work man. Excellent compilation!!
Wow what an experience! Thank you so much
Outstanding.
Thank you Julius for keeping up with your awesome fractal art. It was way past the time for the whole Western World to start making art beautiful again, made from skills and creativity.
The WW has been making horrendous art out of garbage for at least half a century, stuff that anyone can do, but only the privileged can obscenely profit from.
Sadly, all real art is meant to face strong opposition, normally as indifference. So, my sad encouragement is that this is why your videos get rather few visits.
Thank you for the kind words, Manuel.
Although indeed my UA-cam numbers are not very encouraging, I do get a lot of encouragement from other platforms and places, so I'm not very pessimistic about the potential and future of fractal art.
Julius, AWESOME! If you combine this with the music of Klaus Schulz (look on UA-cam) you can make a movie by following the tune! He has a webpage, if you want to get in touch. A collaboration would create a totally immersive experience!
Amazing, love fractal work, beautifully surreal.
Entirely brilliant! thank you sir
Extremely fabulous!
Nice! Beautiful
This is just ridiculously incredible.
Decided to watch in the morning, when i not so sleepy
Love your style! Very creative and unique :-)
One could only wonder what kind of fractals can be created with machine learning (AI). I think such animations suit the way machine learning works.
That's wonderful, keep your great work!
Piezoelectrics at its finest, synapses firing on screen and in my brain.
Magical! 😍
I've watched this so many times that it already feels like a familiar place :)
Stunning fractal animation wow
man wow!!! bravo!!! love the space octopus :D
Marvelous!!
I love those amazing surf mushrooms!
Big fish, little fish, amazing box.
Love…😊

Very good!
Very nice !
A Newt roving in a psy~ocean with a Vampire Squid, plasma radiation wrecked houses, hypogenes emanating from a Basilica, lots of work JH.

Wohoooow :o I could spend hours watching so many of them.
-Is that possible somehow...? :/
Iedere keer opnieuw word ik verrast door de pracht en fantasie van het geheel.
wowww
Woaw !
Wow, and I though the great barrier reef was beautiful. Just imagine how incredible the world would be if you were its architect,.
That dumbo octopus 😍
Impressive, as usually! ;)
Dani Dijey 1:54 Atlantis!
太美了
Imagine this in VR
who needs hallucinogenics when you have this?
delicious!!!!
Absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing!
Can I use this is a video for background/dream sequences if I credit you?
Thank you keep up the good work
It all seems alien yet so familiar. Maybe I'm projecting my sense of knowing onto something non existent. I still don't understand 'why' these (mathematical)patterns are so intrinsic to our aesthetics sensibilities. Is it because our understanding of ourselves is emergent out of these or we inherently are these or simply because of familiarity that is conditioned due to it being around us & in nature & it is the only thing we know ? Any recommendations to further my understanding in this direction.Thank you.
Project is dope, inspires to learn & explore new territories. 🔥
❤️
👏😎👍
👍👍👍👍👍
i... ummmmm just wow
EY!!
where is the VR version? :)
Are you creating the fractal animations within Mandlebulb3D and then editing the video from that in other software to add additional things (such as buildings)? Its not possible to add external images within Mandlebulb3d is it?
yes, I use a lot of compositing.
I need to get some DMT
Does anyone know how you can make a HQ screensaver out of these?
How the fuck does a guy like this get less than 10k subs? UA-cam is broken
I know you must be asked this question all the time but how much time did it take to render all that?
It's very hard to say because this is a compilation reel of my work from the last 18 months or so. But it's safe to assume a few months worth of rendering are in this piece. Here's a short blog post I wrote about this a few years back: www.julius-horsthuis.com/blog/2016/12/11/hardware-and-rendering-for-mandelbulb3d
Why no music??
Nice codec.... can't even get the music.... U know... if you wanted ppl to have this and NOT use youtube with ads...sorry ain't gonna pay for that... you should offer those interested to BUY YOUR video and music.... much better idea
