You're melting my brain. I can't even get mandelbulb3d to render with anti-alias. Beyond mastery. You are certainly light years beyond any other fractal artist I've seen.
Simply use "Viewing" at main window, top menu. 1:2 scales the image down to the half and anti-alias it at this operation. You can also save at high resolution and do the same with programs like IrfanView.
Fraktaastic! This is what I imagine Cybertron would look like if the transformers films were actually intelligent. And this is def one of your best ones!
Utterly stunning! The music accentuates the dramatic landscape beautifully and really draws you in. I'm several hundred miles behind in ability and not catching up. Your work stands out above all to me and definitely keeps me inspired, thanks.
I think im going to type in a short story for this video. In a far away time and place a hyper advanced civilization is running out of time. It's home galaxy has grown old and dead, no new stars form. They decide to build a portal to another young galaxy and colonize it. To do so they tow several planets to a stable black hole to build the structure. Those involved live on a huge city sized space station with an atmosphere provided by magnetic fields(those curved haxy lines) and gas production. Once the planets are mined out and the structure around the black hole is complete an exploration ship is launched from the station and slowly descends into the opening and into the singularity. The last clip is the inner workings of the Matrioshka Brain that controls the black hole and allows it to be used as a portal to reach the new galaxy.
I can't believe what I see, this is fantastic! You've put fractal art in a level never reached before, you've become a Master. This vision is very inspiring...
absolute insanity. I have no idea what these formulas are but these is the best video fractal art out there hands down. I see some amazingbox in that spaceship frigate? Amazing work can't imagine the effort that went into this
AMAZING BEAUTIFUL WORK.....NO WORDS....LIKE NEW WORLD, POSSIBILITIES AND TECHNOLOGY TO DEVELOP AND EXPLORE....AND IT IS JUST THE BEGINNING.....THAT IS THE WAY.........I think of games, VR, etc.....maybe the future is there....
amazing... I can get lost for days playing with a simple kaleidoscope effect. I'm afraid I would get lost forever if I was ever to try playing in your world...
many people say art is about some obscure message behind visual nonsense, but i say, art is just about stuff looking cool. and this does look cool! good job, Julius!
It's hard to achieve a fractal world that still has a human aspect. This animation keeps a good balance. An infinitely fractal universe would drive you crazy. We need limits, like in a tree house...
This is excellent, Julius! I saw this when the Producer posted it, and I was impressed that this was created in Mandelbulb 3D, so I downloaded it this past weekend to check it out. I played around with it for at least 20 hours and I still don't see how you were able to create the alien cityscape. Did you do some image tweaking using another graphics tool, to create those finished structures? I did recognize some of the patterns you mention in your tutorials, but the end result of this is astounding! All my best to you! Rick McClure - Epic Tracks Audio
Thanks Rick! Although the render indeed is completely done in MB3D, indeed there's some pretty intense compositing going on here. Lots of lens flares added, layering, and color correction. Pretty much the same concepts I explain in those tutorials. Enjoy further diving into MB3D!!!
Julius Horsthuis Thanks. I haven't viewed all of your tutorials yet, and it seems I missed the ones you mention. I do plan to view the all, and a huge thank you for taking the time to create your tutorials. I have really enjoyed them and I have a deeper understanding of MB3D, thanks to you!
Hi Julius, Love your material. There is a rock band from the 1970's called "Man" (you may have heard of them). One of their albums "Back into the Future" has a track called "Come On". When I heard it first in the 70's it was only the second time I'd heard a Moog synthesizer -(''Yes'' was the first but didn't go as far as this.). It absolutely thrilled me to see in my mind's eye the vastness that could be described in musical terms. It just launched itself, blasting through space. It seemed to land then journey through the strangest of landscapes before taking off again. There wasn't any videos then. When you heard music it was totally a 'head' thing. If there was ever a sound begging for film it's this. I think if anyone could do it justice it's you. Should you decide to take a listen to this song make sure you hear the version from the LP. The CD has several. The one you want has this male choir singing immediately beforehand. Kindest regards Cozmic Willie
This is so beautiful and the music matches the scenery so extremely well. If i could experience this in VR i would purchase whatever equipment was needed without a flinch. A business model for you could be to post 2D videos here on YT and sell the VR videos online. I would definitely be a buyer. Anyways thank you so much for making these true pieces of art.
Thanks! I have made several VR films: www.julius-horsthuis.com/vr-projects And not to worry about my business model. I create a lot of fractal artworks for events and museums as well.
If you don't mind I have some questions 1) how long did it take to finish this project? 2)what softwares did you use? It will be very helpful if reply 😊😊😊
Wow..... the launch to the other planet was superb. Did you placed this model of P2 as background pic on P1 and blended the aproach as a second animation? Or did you used it with alpha maps?
Hey Julius, I've been thinking about something lately. What are the possibilities of creating a fractal exploration game? For example, you could explore a fractal world with no sense of gravity, with a grappling hook to propel you through a fourth-dimensional space?
Sounds very cool, but the fractals render times are huge, and don't render real-time at all. There are some people working on real time fractals, but you'd need a really powerful rig, and they look much simpler than these. I'm afraid we're going to have to wait another couple of years on that...
am here because of melodysheep and am so grateful i got to know this kind of very fine combination of science and art

Beautiful, and the music fits like a glove!
Melodysheep brought me here..and I'm thankful for that!
This is magic! A Fractal world, a fractal universe...
Mind boggling imagery with a celestial soundtrack...too much imagination is never enough!
Viewing your fantastic work puts me in a state of wanting. Wanting these scapes of limitless beauty to be real!
Incredible! Hollywood should snatch you up, and you're too good for them anyhow.
How did you do all the lighting and zooms? After Effects? This is just un-believable.
@@KozMyk It's using a technique called raymarching
How this doesn't have millions of views i'll never know, absolutely mind blowing visuals!
Julius, this is fantastic, job well done. Add a narration and it's a complete story
Insanely amazing work. Like alien mega cities.
you've improved so much from when i first watched your videos 3 years ago, great job, loove this!
Mind. Blown. One of the best examples of cinematic 3D fractal geometry ever. THANK YOU!!!! I'm so inspired!
Probably one of your best video !
Utterly stunning! The music accentuates the dramatic landscape beautifully and really draws you in. I'm several hundred miles behind in ability and not catching up. Your work stands out above all to me and definitely keeps me inspired, thanks.

Nice
Great story! Thank you.
Got almost scary at some parts there hehe. But generally awesome. And beautiful.
You turned my fantasies of open worlds made entirely out of fractals into a reality, thank you Julius,I mean it.

Looks so much like a hyper futuristic mega city or something... It's awesome!
I knew not long after I clicked the thumbnail that you had experience in making games for pc and or console. Nicely done dude! ;)
Melodysheep directed me here. And God, am I glad I found this. You're amazing. This is all amazing. New subscriber, right here hahahaha

All of your videos are surprisingly great. But this one demonstrates the supreme excellence of the Fractal Universe. You're a true Master!!!
How am I just finding this now!? This is so underrated!
This is amazing! It’s the stuff of dreams. I love the music as well. Vangelis would be proud.
I feel overwhelmed... In an amazing way.
This is absolutely incredible. Music is amazing too, very Tron-esque.
Gorgeous Pictures & Sound, Congratulations, all thumbs up!
Surely you must surprise even yourself sometimes. This video deserves some kind of award!
Stunning work as always.
Would love to watch a 4k version of this without youtube crappy compression. Amazing work
Thank you. Check it out on Vimeo, better compression.
Great! Love to watch more sci-fi themes i your work.
Wow, cool! Looks like scenes from movies like 'Tron' and 'Interstellar'.
Really Impresive, one of the best that you have done, congratulations!!!
When MelodySheep used it in Life Beyond 1, i was just mind blown, incredible images
"Hey man, how much time did this take to render?"
"yes"
This was SO well done! I hope you have kids, because this creative imagination needs to be passed on. ✨🏆☺
That's so cool that you write the MandelBulb formulas you used in the credits.
Your fractals are the best of youtube
That DMT Trip Taking you to places! Incredible! reminds me of a trip i had. Your work is amazing! Skillz like magic!
Comin'out : say you receive 'em from ET, no ? Congratulations, this is a must to see !!
Absolutely amazing. As usual. Love your work Julius 👏👏
Sci-fi and fractals? Yesssss
That was amazing
This is a totally different level. I was astonished
one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen

MASTERPIECE AND NEW ARTISTIC POSSIBILITIES.......

Love your work Julius.
Julius je bent echt een legend man! Dit is misschien wel een van de vetste video's die ik dit jaar op UA-cam heb gezien 👊 keep it going
This is awesome. I need to learn how to do this.
ive never seen anything as good as this one, looks incredible, the music is amazing aswell,
You really are the master of fractal art
First guy who actually understands fractal design

" C'Mon " is how I should've spelled it not Come On.
Rock on
Better than hollywood!
This is some next level stuff. Holy shit! Best fractal/mandelbulb video I have seen.
Fractal planets are some of the best uses of spherical fractals in my opinion
respect from russian , это великолепно.

@@julius-horsthuis thanks thats excellent im already looking for a VR headset :-) Appreciate all the good work!
This is truly beautiful. The visuals are stunning
Sorry, what is the name of the song in end of the video? Very beautiful!
Amazing video. Words can't describe how beautiful this is.
0:00 - 1:45 sorta looks like a dystopian world or something like that...
Wow this is amazing work
beautiful work, fractal cyberpunk and the music is fantastic ✌✌✌
This is completely awesome...outstanding...
Curious, can these be exported to other programs like Bender, etc as models? Incredible way to create game assets
Wow awesome!
You should do a 3D rollercoaster for your next project! :)
Great work! So how big is project size in KB?
Left me brain-paralyzed.
Whew outrageous the music also whew!
What spec of yours computer? Great work!
This is a masterwork
Great idea and fantastic implementation.
If you don't mind I have some questions
1) how long did it take to finish this project?
2)what softwares did you use?
It will be very helpful if reply 😊😊😊
There's a lot of info on my website about my process.
Took about 2 months, used Mandelbulb3D and After Effects.
3:24 DAVID LEVY? THE SAME PERSON WHO’S THE NEW SOUNDTRACK COMPOSER FOR DOOM ETERNAL?!?!?!?
The one and only!
Best fractal film I've ever seen
THIS IS GORGEOUS. How did you do the planets?
dude need to make a full sci fi movie in this
You are an absolute master at your craft. ✌🙂
I just have to subscribe. This is like looking at another universe.
Hi. I love your work. Could i get the name of the software you used?
It's in the end titles. Mandelbulb3D.
Fantastic video, congratulations. 👍
Wow..... the launch to the other planet was superb. Did you placed this model of P2 as background pic on P1 and blended the aproach as a second animation? Or did you used it with alpha maps?
the soundtrack reminds me of blade runner 2049, especially the beginning

hmm , whereis a demoscene linux bin or windows .exe file?
Congratulations on your great work.
Your work is inspirational, were you ever involved with the demo scene?
Thank you. No I wasn't in the demo scene. My background is in film and VFX.
Julius Horsthuis interesting, thanks a ton for the reply!
hey
So beautiful!!
Epic man, truly epic!
What Montage app name
Omg your work is amazing
