I’m writing a book about a war between America and North Korea and Syria. In that war, South Korea is annexed by the north, but North Korea got nuked, and surrendered. They reunited. Spain, Japan, Mexico, Ireland, Cuba, Vietnam, and Turkey, (The Second Ottoman Empire) become fascist dictatorships, the Russian Empire returned as an ally with the US, and WWIII starts, and ends with the end of civilization. Many riots start, and one kid wants to restore humanity as it once was.

What is it like to be a hero? Well, you look at the stars when nobody else does. You see them shining so bright and you reach out, trying to touch them. Your desire to get to them get's bigger and bigger and suddenly you reach them. Everyone sees it, everyone admires you and looks up to you. You're proud of yourself too. But once you finally look back down, you see your hands are shattered, the earth is far away and you're alone.
deaf loyalty everyone hates you for leaving them. They treat you like an outcast because you became their dreams. You became their future...and they were so SCARED of it...they got rid of you in the process. It hurts me knowing that families die, cities fall, and planets cease to nothing because all we want is more. More wants...than needs...
not all OP, some are forced to leave and wait for that special day when the beast is in your sights again. I know it will come again, I dream of days gone by every night and I can feel it getting closer.
You have fought a war for the fame and glory. Does any of this seem glorious to you right now? Watching brothers get torn apart by incoming salvos. Watching sisters work endlessly to make ends meet. Watching mothers weep and never be the same. Watching fathers have their hair turn gray from stress. Watching children walk around the streets, not knowing their father’s acknowledgement, their mother’s affection, their sister’s kindness, their brother’s courage. There is nothing glorious in watching a child grow up without his family. Moreover, the most you’ll ever get perhaps is a brief mention in a textbook a student will never care about years later. And that will be when you’re laid in the ground or perhaps floating in the air as ashes. Does any of that sound good to you? It shouldn’t. Yet we’re doing that every day, decimating households and destroying things held dear. At the end of the day, there’s nothing to gain, but everything to lose. But I’m not telling you to lay down your arms. There will be a need to rise up against the tyranny, to rage against the unjust. Everyday, we must fight for our ideals, our morals, our values. Do not think that what you’re doing is wrong. You must find purpose. If you say you can’t find any, or that it’s not tangible, then I tell you this. Shoulder the burden that I carry, the burden that many other valiant souls do. You will fight a war to end all wars.
Like #13 wow a magic number. But your comment deserves another like as it matches my view. Fighting a war out of no need just for expanding some borders is no foundation to fight for or for short: No one should support wars of aggression and refuse to fight in it. But to defend the survival of one's own country or hometown at least then I would grab a rifle and go to push back all who threaten friends and family and only to kill when it comes to be killed if I do not.
I think it's supposed to be 1000 politicians' with the apostrophe (as in, politicians' tears), but maybe it's even better as literally 1000 politicians.
No that's not true. As much as it might suck to hear but they are still human beings. When you put yourself above another's life what makes you better than them in the end? Obviously there have been tyrants and evil, I'm not denying nor detracting. It's real easy to talk about shit on the internet when you haven't had the personal experience to back it up. Most the time things are not as they seem. Life isn't so simple
It's just a fallout reference, no need to be so upset, nobody said it was to comment emotional things, not everyone wants to be emotional and complain about their lives.
in the bible, god set a difference between murder and killing. God said to Saul to kill every man in the village and leave no quarter. saul brought back a prisoner and he was punished for not following God's commands. Cain murdered able out of cold blood with a rock for the sin of jealousy. Fighting and killing to protect the ones who have their lives are threatened or harmed is in some limitation ok with god. when you save a life by taking one is a huge difference than murdering someone for jealousy anger or revenge. God sent the angel of death to kill every nonbelievers firstborn child to set the slaves free from the death camp of Egypt at the time.
Yeshua is Lord. Yes we do live in New Testament times. And God never changes and also does not tempt anyone, let alone command, to do evil. You cannot reconcile that fact with the doctrine of Christian pacifism. Pacifism is not evil itself anymore than giving away everything you own is (literally everything). The possibility of taking one extreme does not make those who owns property and defends themselves and their property evil.

There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. I wrote an essay while listening to this, and the document I was analyzing hit so much harder with this playing. It was the speech Queen Elizabeth the First gave to her troops before Spain attempted a massive invasion of England. I realized how much fear was in those boys and their leaders even then. Walking through the smoke into a battle of unknown foes, breathing slowly to keep composed. I raise my rifle to defend my brothers, and vanquish every foe that dares enter my path. My shot it true, my resolve is clear, facing my battles with no fear. Taking fire from every side, realizing that I may just die. Hearing my brothers cry to press forward, standing in a bullet filled haze only to have one graze the helmet upon my head. "Fight.... Fight.... FIGHT!" screams the voice in my head, full speed ahead I go, to face a foe I do not know.
My dad use to be deployed for months on end, until one day I asked my mom where my dad is, she stopped and started to tear up, she said that shes been hiding something from me the and said sit down, she began to tell me that he had to go into war, and fight, I was petrified, the thought of losing my dad, the only other guy who's been there for me, gone, I remember sitting up at nights crying and begging for him to come home, until one day, everyone came home, except him, they gave me a flag and said your dads a hero, I have never been the same since then, now I'm the quite kid in the back of the classroom, this music has helped me and reminds me of my dad, I miss him so much, thank you

You get deployed, crack jokes with your mates and laugh. After the deployment... You change. You change dramatically. You don't laugh, you don't joke around anymore. There are dead bodies all around you, blood on your shoes and clothes, and hands. As sunlight breaks through clouds, you see the massacre that has happened, the horror you've faced. And now, your fallen brothers and "foes" ascend to rest. There's no "bad side" in a war. There are 2 sides that want something else that leads to conflict. You just "fight for your country" No. These times have ended. It's now war for nothing, you're just shooting at someone who thinks he's doing the right thing, so do you. War, is young men dying, And old men talking.

Reading the titles from the description and the way the music plays really tells a sad and broken soldier. This is what made me think about 👇 The beginning of the soundtrack, the war was at it's end and the soldier fought bravery becoming a war hero. Many lives were lost, but a peaceful life was coming. Oh how wrong the soldier was. Too many ghosts and deaths trapped inside their head so the soldier left home again leaving the person they once were. The soldier went on to find another war to fight. Middle of this soundtrack, the soldier became broken and lost putting themselves in a unwinnable war. A soldier is who they are and will continue fighting until their last breath. End of the soundtrack, the soldier became tired of killing and the war raging on in his mind. Eventually, the soldier realize that there was more to life rather than killing. In the end, the soldier ended the war with the ultimate hero's sacrifice because they believe that it was the only way for their redemption. After it was all set and done, the soldier greet Death like an old friend and finally found peace as a new dawn has arrived.
Rest in peace. Soldier of the past wars, through your suffering does make the world an easy one. But it will not last long. Another war will soon broke out. A war for power and resources. Many will died, civillian and soldier alike. But we must strive to live our lives to the fullest. So may we rest easy adter we die

Heroes died in war to protect their people from injustice, greed and sorrow. They protect them from the darkness and bring the light into the world even if it cost their lives. But now... they cries a sorrowful cry in heaven. Seeing their world turn slowly into darkness, that once they fought, where greed, sorrow and injustice come back to fill that once bright world into a dirty one. Once more. Scream, cries, and pain turn into the song of the world. No matter how much they wishes to come back to the earth, God won't let them for it's not their fight anymore. It's ours. It's our turn to fight, our moment to stop the war! And our responsibility to care for one another. :')) [Whoo~ listening to this awesome songs makes me melancholy and want to write again] Thank you for this awesome songs!! ♥♥
You hear a lot of big talk about kin and country when they send you to war. Your obligations; to perform your duty. They give speeches and such; handing out badges and medals of honor, as if shooting another man somehow makes you a greater person. They tell you you're a hero, and that you'll be respected when you come back, if you come back. And they always have a reason for it. Fighting for peace or justice. Maybe liberation or freedom. Or to wage war on some incarnation of evil. But it isn't like that. There's no morality in war. In the cacophony of a battlefield, in the midst of the cold, deliberate orders, you're just a cog in the machine. But all around you is the overwhelming evidence of our own shortcomings: When people can't talk, they swing. When groups can't coincide, they collide. And when you can't live with the other man, you accept that it's come to living without them, or not living at all. War is about domination. Enforcing your will on the people you're afraid of. I suppose I don't fear death nearly as much as I fear the idea of seeing my family and friends face the same things I know I'm about to walk into. And somehow, that comforts me, and I don't mind going so much. I don't care about the medals, or my country. I don't care much about going back... this is where I belong; because good people don't. I had to ask myself if it was all worth it. I decided it was. Even as I sat, waiting to face what could be my death, and I'd received snippets of the world I'd left behind moving on without me, I decided it was still worth it. After all, I've seen the worst of us: And if it means bathing in that bloodbath to make sure no one I care about has to go where I go, then going there is all the more worth it.
XD My own thoughts. Rereading it is a little bit cringy, since I'm not fortunate enough to be able to enlist, nor was I alive during WWI, WWII, Vietnam, or any of the other bloodiest and miserable conflicts people have had. But it is, for the most part, my stance on why I would become a soldier and how I view war in general.
I got a reply from a USMC who wasn't happy with what I had written, to the effect of "it's cringy because it's written for effect, and you're a selfish person". I would just like to say that I have the utmost respect for our armed forces and that it was written for effect and is based on no experience of mine. He is certainly right and I am sorry if I have offended anyone who has risk their life and given up their peace so that I can keep mine. God bless those who have served.
When the chill starts to climb up your spine and your arms goosebump, you know it's because the music is that great! Well, it happens with just about all your masterpieces. I'm always impressed and inspired.
"We'll be back before you know" was what my cousin and his friends said. Come back they did. My cousin came back severe PTSD, amputated left leg and lost vision in his right eye. His friends had it easier. They came back in coffins and didn't have to live hell on earth. They didn't have to deal with the country they fought for turning it's back on them. They couldn't have the chance to become homeless. They didn't have to try to kill themselves over and over again for 7 years. My cousin's suffering is something many don't see in veterans. He says death would be better than his current life. War changes people, and the ones that aren't changed come back in coffins. War, war never changes, it gets worse over time but stays the same. War never changes, what change are the ones who fight it.

War, War is fought by the brave for the corrupt. Those running forward for the benefit of their peoples ideals. Used as pieces to further a movement that is told different to some. That many oppose, for innocent to suffer, for war to keep going. Old and new stand together people seeming to fight all their own wars, for what many to think the right cause, firing weapons side by side being put in the hands of chance and Patriotism. War is not the solution, it is the side effect of a society less and less willing to accept that difference exists. Blood is the ink in which every war is written in. Brave and strong every day people are the pawns. Fear is the book it’s written in. But confusion, unfairness and anger are the three authors of the war. They always say there's an us and them. They are taught to kill their own for their own. Causes are justified, things are said and the grimness of the war only told in the voices of who survived. There are no winners in war. War is not a game, war cannot truly be won. The real winner is war.
Yes infact that is my primary idea for a career. I was finally brave enough to put one of many of the things I write in the comments. It is great to know others care because sometimes I feel inadequate. Thx bro!

"Go go go! They're over there! People get out! NOW!" said a trooper. "Sergeant Cooper, we need help here!" said another. I've been there, I've been a soldier, these were my friends' last words that I had heard. I told them, "I will not die at this moment! I will keep my life straight and I will not die just for a darn country. We will meet one day guys, it will come. We came here to serve one thing, to act like a man. To save our families and followers!". "Cooper, good-bye, *Cough Cough*" said my friend. Though I have been a grand trooper and being a Sergeant, I never realized, I was talking to their angels... I bursted into tears, I couldn't believe what happened. This is what my friend who died recently told me, "A soldier doesn't fight because he dislikes the force that he is attacking, but because he is a person who loves the items behind his eyes." Woosh! He was done for... I'm 31 now, but I will always be remembered as a legend to my friends, and they will be some to me.

Some walk to war, never having been anything other than broken, emerging unchanged for their calluses were strong to begin
OMG when was reading this i was crying but thank you for telling me

No that's not true. As much as it might suck to hear but they are still human beings. When you put yourself above another's life what makes you better than them in the end? Obviously there have been tyrants and evil, I'm not denying nor detracting. It's real easy to talk about shit on the internet when you haven't had the personal experience to back it up. "War is organised Murder nothing else"
Harry Patch
Last surviving soldier of The Great War
in the bible, god set a difference between murder and killing.

But the hero never gets to see that ending.
They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end they just have to have faith.

My weapon is bloodied
This life, I wish I wasn't prone
My options, were barely studied
Now my family's buried
And my friends are ashes
The vital duty I carry
It's the cost of my gashes
The last battle they said
The war will end
Tell that to the dead
My prayers I send
But now I understand
I'm never going home
Cowardice I banned
When I began my roam
I've become a warrior
But I've lost half my soul
I've grown warier
Now that war has taken its toll
So now you know
The truth of war
Its minimal glow
Will get to your core
You must understand
What war will do to you
Desert, valley, grassland
It struck like the wind blew
I still stand here, alone
My weapon stays bloodied
This life, others aren't prone
My options, were never fully studied

A Tired Warrior has got to be one of my favorite tracks in this arrangement. Thank you for this.
Reading the titles from the description and the way the music plays really tells a sad and broken soldier. This is what made me think about 👇
The beginning of the soundtrack, the war was at it's end and the soldier fought bravery becoming a war hero.
Really enjoyed the mix, lost a couple friends due to war and this mix takes me back to those moments but in a good way. When in firefights time slows down and music like this goes through your head.

Kegan Pierce what is this from? I love it.

This is exactly what I was looking for for tonight's session! Excellent!
“History is always written by the winners. When two cultures clash, the loser is obliterated, and the winner writes the history books-books which glorify their own cause and disparage the conquered foe."
You're an artist man. You're an artist. I don't know how else to say this is amazing what you do. Keep it up. :)
Thank you very much!
My pleasure.
This was great, thanks :) I'm reading "Vimy" by Pierre Berton and this has been great background music.
To all Canadians on this and all Remembrance Days: Lest We Forget. And to all veterans: Thank you for your service.
holy shit Lucas, you actually somehow made a list of music that describes my life "the hopeless end". i congratulate you.
Glados i love you forever ...
The Legendary warriors never dies they just keep changing the body's but the pride is never changed.
Lucas, I listen to your music almost everyday and it is amazing. I play guitar but want to learn the piano, and hearing your music boosts my motivation to learn piano even more. Can't wait for tax time to get a piano. Thank you!!
Thank you! Theres a lot of similarities I'm sure you'll pick it up I switched from guitar to piano and never had much trouble.
That note: 3:18(lead up to that note at :36) The phrase must be heard to appreciate it's epicness. Jaw on floor.
Gotta say, The Last March is, in my opinion, the strongest piece in here. Amazing work
Almost didn't include it I thought it wasn't good enough haha
"Older man starts war, but its the youth that must fight and die"
I didn't fear the war, I fear if I was fighting for the wrong side.. And die for nothing.
I'm 36 and was a 21 year old Marine during OIF 2-3. it never leaves--Even after college degrees, family and even after I "moved on," it never leaves.
"A brave man only die once, cowards die a thousand times"
This really expresses what it is to have the ones that you love and when you lose them
Death comes and greets all. But true heroism comes to those who walk into death without question and welcome him with a smile on their face.
I like that the motives are 5 bars, instead of 4 in the first song. Well done, from a composing POV.
"I am the first of four
I am the fog that threatens the fragile peace
I am the sound of final drum
All kings and queens will bend their knee to me
For upon my horse of fire and smoke I wield a gilded sword
I am the fire of man's destruction
I will make way for the coming three
For I am the first of four...
I am war."
-Trever G. King
Another masterpiece! Thank you sir for sharing your talent. You truly deserve every bit of success you earn.
Thank you very much Joshua!
My friend had a brother who went to the military. My friend, (let's name him John) John had an older brother going to the military. Away for 3 months. John told me late at night "My brother's going to the military and he'll be gone for 3 months..." I said "why what's wrong" he replied "he might..." I said "oh right oh shoot I'm sorry he might die?" John replied "yeah." He was crying. But after three months he was so happy that his brother was coming back. John gives me hope:) I hope he can give you hope too..
you and adrian von ziegler make some of the best music i've ever heard! it's beautiful
Thanks a lot! =D
Austin Draper Ever thought of being a writer?
Yes infact that is my primary idea for a career. I was finally brave enough to put one of many of the things I write in the comments. It is great to know others care because sometimes I feel inadequate. Thx bro!
Austin Draper Write a War story. A young boy volunteers to join the war to serve his country to only question the motives of his government, and the point of this this pointless war. Though it doesn't have to be about war.
Thanks for the offer, I will try my best to achieve this for you. I just want to do my best with what I have. :)
Austin Draper Sometimes war can help bring people under oppression and corruption peace and freedom.
I am a soldier and this song reminded me of the biggest thing in my team that died in front of my eyes and was critically injured as a murderer who killed me and entered in a panic by shooting us
Looking at your videos you are way too young to have been to war lmao quit lying your head off it’s disrespectful to those who actually have been to war
