Nice vids bud....i been out there 2 times caught lots of fish... probably further down though.. no keepers but good actions... then i got bit up...keep up the good work
Excellent catches! My dad, brother, uncle and cousins are there today. They were only catching a couple of undersized fish. I wish I could be there! I’m glad I stumbled upon this video to see what it takes to find the big fish! I’m guessing they are using shad.
A lot of shakers are being caught in this area. We were using live mud suckers and i was just fortunate enough to have caught this keeper sizes. Thank you for wacthing.
Hi, could you please tell how many rods are permitted in this area and would dead bait like sardines be a viable option ? Thank you in advance for any response.
Your can add another Rod stamp to your Fishing License so you can use 2. I've used Frozen anchovies/sardines/shad/Mackerel and Ghost shrimp they also work. Thanks!
@fishermanally yeah those rules & regulations is what drove me out of Cali, fishing license here is only $25 with no stamp requirements, no size limit on the stripers, and some of the best fishing in the world right here in Eastern Oklahoma, you would love fishing the arkansas river!!
@@jayasbill7137 I used to live in North Carolina and Georgia, the fishing is really way better than Cali due to more species of fish being caught. The license fees is not as much compare to California. Perhaps one day OKC is one of my destination. Thanks for watching my friend.
THanks my friend. I used 4/0 or 5/0 circle hooks. Both tides in this particular area are very productive as long as you know the right spot to go. Sturgeon fishing is good on an outgoing tide where tides is fast moving and stripers fishing is good on an incoming tide. These are just my experience there in delta.
@@chiemnguyen2968 So do you have the CORRECT INFO? Here just for your information....... Octopus hooks are like circle or j hooks, except that the eye is bent backwards. This is so that if you're snelling the hook, the line can go straight down to the backside of the shank.
Nice video and great catch! Question for you, were you fishing the levee? I was there during the summer with my son. Sacramento Sheriff came by and said you could not fish off the levee anymore due to issues with erosion and damage to the levee. He said you could only fish the st park at the end of the road.
Some Part of the bank are not allowed . Signs are posted which bank/levee are off limits. Before the entrance of the Sherman island boat launching site still open for fishing. Look for the Power lines with buoy. Thanks!
The title name of the river is incorrect. The spot here is actually located on the other side of the Sacramento River. The actual name of the delta is called "Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta" not the San Joaquin River Delta. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacramento%E2%80%93San_Joaquin_River_Delta
Old Stomping ground where our Dad used to take us 30 yrs ago! Might visit that again next month for some action.
It was one of my favorite spot for night fishing, I might've fish along with your dad 30+ year ago in that spot.
Yahoo 1st tamsak and comment. Great fishing po. Team Happy Family

Have you went back to this spot recently? Any luck? I was there last month and didn’t catch a keeper. I plan on going tomorrow
I haven't been there for awhile now. With all the rain, watch out with the debris floating around. Good luck my friend.
Used to fish there when I was a kid, fun times!!
A lot of changes, most good spots are closed for NO Fishing. Other than that, indeed fun times way back then. Thanks.

Awesome catch
Did you catch that live bait? If not where is a good spot to purchase? Thanks
Is there a bait shop out there to get live bait because I want to try out there never fished out there but I fished Rio and Antioch
Yes, there' s bait shops at Downtown Rio vista. Right after the Rio Vista bridge you can buy live mud suckers etc...
I just learned something new about sliders lol I didn’t know that’s what that little plastic piece is for
Thanks for watching brotherman.
Nice catch guy, anyone fishing for sturgeon over there?
Thanks! No one at that time, Maybe the rain should start the feeding frenzy.
Great video. Very nice fish. You make it look so easy. What size hook do you use? Do you fish high tide only there?

Octopus hook not a circle hook you are using. Wrong infor

@@fishermanally circle more likely to save the fish from hook too deep and j can go deep and kill the fish.

Salamat kabayan.
Every time I fish there i get a lot of snacks Do you have that problem
You mean Snagged. Yes, especially when low tide. Stay away directly under that power line, most of my snagged happened there. Tight lines.
what size weight?
6 to 8oz Torpedo.

You're right. But i think it's called " Sacramento River " Because the San Joaquin is actually South of Sacramento river. Good eye though. Thanks.
