It really bothers me that her character on iCarly consumed so much food, knowing she dealt with an eating disorder. It feels like Dan wrote that in to torture her.
Oh my god.. my heart actually just sank..
I said the same thing a while back on a video from another channel, and someone came with, "HoW wOulD DaN hAve aNy WaY oF KnoWing sHe hAd aN EaTiNg DisOrDeR?"
Like dude, she was getting treatment and all of that while filming, he had to have known. The ignorance of some people 😒
I was watching iCarly today and Sam would always talk about how terrible her mother is and how she “wouldn’t feed her”. Like the fact that she wouldn’t feed her is repeated so many times. It’s crazy
Holy shit I didn't even think of that. Fuck.
@@goreboar I didn’t put that together either! That’s complete abuse and traumatizing!!
I would never let my kid be a breadwinner. Her mother failed her drastically
No child should be saddled with the burden of supporting the family.
Agreed
Look at how it’s effected Britney Spears & she is still to this day supporting her freeloading family! Shameful just shameful!
right.. i think some people with lost dreams try to live through their kid's achievements. it's sad
Narcissistic as f**k!
So Dan Schneider made Sam obsessed with food and gave her a dysfunctional family, knowing her real life struggles with food and her mother. All while she’s a literal child. This man just keeps getting more and more disturbing by the day.
He's so gonna have demons after him!
He’s the the devil himself🤮
Pure evil
@@stormwatch32 i don't believe in hell but if it's real he should go
He just exploded the kids lives too. I mean for creeps like him it’s all ok.
Jennette was never ugly. That’s so sad that they said she was homely.
Literally I looked up to Jennette as a kid cuz I thought she was soooooo talented and beautiful. Breaks my heart she ever had to hear those words growing up
@@fofogigishosho right?! I thought she was such a badass and seemed so sweet. But to know she was hurting that whole time really sucks.
@@JennSCHWA RIGHT? I don’t blame her for not wanting to act or even be in the iCarly revival. I just want her to be happy and do what SHE wants now!
For real. Watching iCarly I always ALWAYS thought Sam was prettier than Carly. I find it weird that it was supposed to be the complete opposite.
Not that one is supposed to be better than the other, but I never got the hint that Carly was supposed to be “prettier” or “better” than Sam.
@@vr8348 agreed!
I’m so glad that Dan Schneider was exposed for being the creep that he is. Jennette didn’t deserve this, Amanda Bynes didn’t deserve this, NONE of his victims deserved what he put them through.
Id be happier if he was convicted of it all but time will tell
Is there any actual evidence that they were victims of Dan, or is it all still theoretical? I would have thought with Jennette being so open about other abuses, she would have at least alluded to it by now.
I mean there are some many videos that prove evidence against him and well ofc all the Victims exposing dan
@@giabarrone7422 I mean there is a lot of child sexual offenders that work at Nickelodeon, I wouldn’t even need solid proof to believe is true, there is a huge pattern
@@giabarrone7422 BOTH her and Amanda Bynes have alluded to it. They've both spoken up about A TON of stuff that went on in their lives...however, many people speculate that the reason neither of them has come out and point blank said it was him (although...look into Amanda Bynes CODED MESSAGES where she capitalized random letters that actually spelled out: DAN DID IT. Crazy stuff!) is because he forced everyone who worked with him to sign air tight NDAs. Which, explains a lot. He is just suuuch a terrible, God awful creep. Also, if you're interested in this, look up Dan Schneider being fired from Nicolodean.
I feel so bad for this poor woman. She really missed out on her childhood.

@@samg873 Right!
Jeannette seems desensitized to a lot of stuff. The way she mentions something shocking and then just moves past it so easily is kind of sad.
She’s been through a lot of therapy to help her
Her podcast is called Empty Inside and the intro is a female singing "Life is better when you're empty inside." 😿
it's her coping mechanism, unfortunately, people with certain traumas tend to laugh their traumas off and if it meant nothing
Do you want her to break ? Every single time she talks about it you want her to cry ? Woukd that make sense for you ?
Extremelly broken people laugh a lot and are nice and caring and one day, they take their lifes.
Please understand that NOT ALL PEOPLE cry when there is a huge amount of trauma in their shoulders, the brain shut it up. Is a defense mechanism againts extreme pain.
As someone that was sexually assaulted and almost abducted as a 12 year old, I can tell you that her reaction and response to things resonates with me. I never really spoke about it, my family knew and the proper authorities were called. My sister and I got into the conversation about it not too long ago and she mentioned that I'd just seem to laugh it off. I've never really thought about it, but the way Jeanette speaks about her own experience definitely strikes a cord with me
I feel like parents making kids be the breadwinner is a form of abuse
This definitely should be illegal
that's cos it is
@@disneydarling7573 Yes it won't let them have a normal childhood, and that CAN be a bad thing.
I'm the breadwinner of my family.
@@pandora117 I hope you're doing okay.
I find it DISGUSTING that her family has her being the breadwinner of the family, as a child. I feel that these parents should’ve lost their parental rights/ privileges. This is NOT okay.
That absolutely infuriates me. If you are depending on your CHILD to bring in financial support, you shouldn’t have children to begin with. It’s honestly sickening, especially with how many parents allow their children to be fully exploited by Hollywood just to get that $$$.
I think family vloggers rely on their children for income too. There is no rules/laws to protect children on UA-cam. They have no privacy, because their parents are recording them in their very own home.
They probably didn't know about the creepiness behind it.
@@karie3 Yeah and at least for child actors they can only work let's say 6 hours a day or something, but vloggers is no law land

Can we talk about how great jennettes smile is it’s actually perfect

Gummy
@@cynergy526 ?
Shes gorgeous and deserves so much better
Just another example of why child acting is so dangerous...
Yep and she has said it shouldn’t be allowed. Sadly, that’ll never happen, but let’s hope some of these children have wonderful people in their lives to support them, unlike Jeanette when she was young.
@@KD-pj7lj eh I think child acting should still be allowed, it’s all about the people around you, as is everything in life. Child actors can also grow up perfectly fine like Zendaya and Elizabeth Olsen. They had good people surrounding them so they thrived.
I would never allow my child to do television acting honestly. Growing up in the spotlight is awful. I’d rather put them in theater.
100 percent. I would never push my daughter into the limelight. That should be something she decide when she is old enough to understand what it comes with!
It’s also sad the stars on Nickelodeon just get younger and younger
Sam was actually a huge role model for me when I was younger. She taught girls that we didn’t need to be girly girls and that we could be tough, yet she never put down other girls for being more traditionally feminine
Yep she was my favorite ❤
Yes! She was always my favorite character. I thought she was so confident in herself despite her hardships. Having had some childhood traumas of my own, I envied her confidence and strength.
Like Jade West, only tougher.
Yes! I thought of the same thing, too! In my opinion, Sam was like a feminist, bad-ass icon to me because of how some of her big moments on iCarly inspired young girls to stand up for themselves. However, after learning more about Jennette’s past, she should do whatever she wants to make herself happy as well without anyone controlling her.
It’s so sad that her moms death freed her. Jeanette is incredible and she is going to do HUGE things in her life and be far more influential for following her own path. Good for her, she should be so proud of herself!
Agreed.
💯
you can only do so much as an actress..she did her job..time to do real goo and get happy...acting is not that important..you can do so much more
Judy Garland's mom did the same thing to her. She used her daughter to make money, ignoring how the studios abused her emotionally, physically and sexually. They even made her get an abortion because a pregnant movie star would look bad. In addition, they were given amphetamines as coffee and sleeping pills as tea every day and then the studio abandoned them whenn they became addicted. Looks like movie business still has some catching up to do even if it has gotten a little better
@@basketballgirl723 that is horrific. I hate Hollywood so much. Just out here ruining lives and we all have blindly supported it for so long as “entertainment”. It’s like a human zoo, how tragic.
Jennette is amazingly brave for speaking up about the corrupt word of nick, I'm proud of her

@@gmont28 she's talk about Dan before, well, her experience with Dan
@@TheBeatlesLover1962 can you send me a link to that video?
That's the reason why in Italy if there are children stars nobody is allowed to get to the money but the child when they turn 18.
That make so much sense, that STOP negligent parents that wants to exploit their kids to enjoy that money so only allow good parents that geniunely want to support their kids in that path to go that way .... cuz lets be honest, is fancy child labor, just cuz they pay them good , not like pennies in countries like bangladesh, doesnt make it right , being the INCOME of a home family, like come on!
That is honestly so smart. I mean, why should the money go to the family anyway? They’re not the ones working, why do they get the paycheck?
That’s good
California has the same law. Unfortunately the show was set in Seattle.
Anna Faris was legitimately concerned for Jeannette. She literally tried to get Jeannette to not change the subject during certain moments
Which is why she should be credited as opposed to Nickelodeon (I can see why she’s doesn’t work there, think of how many times they played her worst movies like The Emoji Movie and Alvin & the Chipmunks 2 & 3, for example!!!).
I can’t believe there are people who are MAD at her and complaining for not wanting to participate in the iCarly reboot. Do they not do their research or do they just not care that she went through so much trauma and abuse?
@@ashtonv1730 most likely but she’s been speaking out about it for YEARS. I know there are a lot of iCarly and Sam & Cat stans and you’d think maybe they’d be curious as to why she decided to leave S&C abruptly when the show was doing so well. It’s not like she kept it a secret and she’s been very vocal about why she has no interest in returning to a show or supporting Nickelodeon when they caused and were complicit in so much trauma and abuse.
@@ashtonv1730 it’s been nearly 10 years so most of the fans are AT LEAST like 18 by now. That’s old enough to easily google why she’s not returning and to be mad at her for it? They’re obviously either very immature or they just don’t care to read or listen to why Jennette isn’t returning. I find it odd that her costars are returning, Hollywood is cutthroat but c’mon Miranda Cosgrove, maybe show some solidarity instead of looking for a paycheck. She was put in creepy situations too.
@@ashtonv1730 I personally never watched the show, I’m 29 so it wasn’t really in my age range. I was like a sophomore when it came out. But Jennette is my age and I have also suffered from anorexia and I’m an addict in recovery as well so I really feel for her deeply but she went through her eating disorders on a whole other level. I can’t imagine battling two ED’s at age 11!!, having a complicated relationship with her Mom who was slowly dying of cancer and enduring all kinds of abuse on the set of her job...as a child, and then into adulthood. I was literally going to say like yes I know Hollywood is cutthroat, I live here, but surely Miranda can find other roles that don’t basically celebrate a show that tortured minors. As of 2018 they were still friends but I wouldn’t be surprised if Miranda distanced herself when Jennette started telling the truth. We all saw it, it’s not like it’s something she’s making up. And the headlines piss me off, they ALL say “I resent my career”. I read one from Seventeen that didn’t go into detail but it’s for kids so I’m hoping the more serious news sources tell the REAL reason why she resents her career on Nickelodeon.
@@mollyfoxxx i was actually so confused by that cuz Miranda and Jennette were best friends for so long. Why the heck is she going back to a show that gave her best friend so much trauma
Exactly
Let's be proud she recognized that this was wrong. And not see her as a victim. She's a survivor. She's a warrior. We are all blessed she came through this alive. She's also clearly intelligent to know that as a child that was wrong. As well as knowing she has healing to do in her own life
Exactly! I'm so proud of her for putting her foot down and standing up for herself, like not returning to the show she even didn't enjoy playing in
I feel like a lot of nickelodeon actors and actresses aren't able to realize or acknowledge what they went through, so I'm glad she's able to
@@mahi93162 I agree! She rly is a gem 💎 we all deserve a good life

Equally horrible to Jeanette being labeled “homely” are the CHILDren being labeled “ethereal beauties”. WTF???
Could you maybe explain to me what they meant by that? I’m sorry I’m confused
@@leahslastnote2848 Both are subjective labels being placed on children that can and usually do have lasting effects on their sense of self. If Jennette is "homely" then I don't wanna know what I would be in Hollywood's eyes.
Right? Before knowing what I know now when I was a kid I envisioned her as being the pretty girl of her friend group!
that part got me upset 😠 like WTF HOW COULD U SAY THAT ABOUT A 10yr old girl....freakin a-holes 😤🖕🏼
Were invisible. Being that she did get roles of course she's pretty maybe she didn't have the right look for that other part so they tore her down on purpose that's a constant thing if your in the in group they keep people inline by doing things like that. I sure all the other stars had their own abuse. They do it in a way so they think they are the only one and talk up all the others to them. Narcs are good for that if your ever been in a relationship with them They know how to play like everyone else is getting along fine and there something wrong with you. But they are likely doing similar things to other people in their life then make it seem like they care about the others and treat them good. She also likely became a target cause they knew they could get away with it her mom was pushing it sounded like the mom was focused on money maybe some don't get it as bad cause when predators see someone that has good connections with family or friends they will leave them alone they also need to use those few to speck for them like he would never do that he was a nice guy to me and the small group that see's them in a good light will gaslight the victims into silence
Jennette has been speaking out for YEARS and I’m so proud of her. I’ll never understand why other certain Nickelodeon stars choose to stay loyal to the network that abused and took advantage of them but maybe they’re not ready, or maybe they’re being paid to stay quiet.
I would say because they still want a career in acting. Jeanette doesn't have that to lose because she doesn't want it.
@Lamont Norwood bro just stop that’s so disrespectful
@Lamont Norwood you’re weird.
NDAs are very powerful things, especially when you have everything to lose. Jeanette has already lost so much. She feels the only way to heal is by speaking out and she is absolutely right. There is still stuff she cannot and will not say, but she’s doing a heck of a lot more than most. She’s incredible and deserves to be exactly who she wants. She was controlled far, far too long.
Their parents won't allow them too. Sadly in hollywood most of the parents are like Jeanettes and it's is the norm to be a work horse for the family
When I was young my mother took me on the very first nickelodeon cruise. The first night she let me walk the promenade alone while she watched me from the television in the room. Within 10 minutes I spotted Jeanette McCurdy and I approached her to tell her that her shirt was really cool and she told me that she loved my Tokyo inspired hot mess of an outfit too. its horrible how cruel adults are to children. i used to do theatre and was told once at an audition (i did badly due to nerves, i also was literally TWELVE) that my singing voice was generic. after that i stopped for a while and took classical training for voice and went to a different theatre. i dont do that shit anymore but i will probably take up singing again for fun. i really needed an adult to just help me improve instead of being snubbed at an audition where only maybe 5 or 6 other kids weren't allowed in the show. im 22 now and that makes absolutely no sense to me. hundreds of kids audition for your show and you let a vast majority of them in but literally only SIX other kids? it's baffling.

My daughter is at the age where she is really interested in dan schneiders shows like victorious, sam and cat, iCarly, and Zoey 101. And im constantly conflicted about letting her watch them just because I hate the thought of somehow supporting that creep. And also because Jeanette has said she is embarrassed by that part of her career. It almost feels dirty to watch it. I would love to know why someone with a platform as big as ariana grande is knowingly placing herself on the wrong side of history when it comes to this topic.
Liz Gillies protected Ariana on the set of Victorious. Liz take about it a little bit. Liz and Ariana are still friends.
If your daughter is a teen i feel it's ok to talk to her why you don't like these shows. And talk to her about jenette and how dangerous this platform is. The shows are great but by knowing the truth behind them it makes you feel guilty to watch them. It would also make a good stand to talk to her about predators that she needs to be aware of so she knows how to protect herself. I have a 4 yo who wants to watch some crazy cartoons, I've been vocal w her. Don't be afraid to talk to her. Wishing you the best, God bless you and your little girl.
@@philo_vee my daughter is 8. But I did tell her that the man that made these shows was not a good man so we should only look at the actors with positivity, and not the person that created the shows. She understood for the most part.
@@philo_vee and thank you for your advice and kindness, God bless you as well.
watch julie and the phantoms now!!!! I need a season 2
I wonder if Miranda Cosgrove knows or even cares about what she went thru🤔
They're apparently still very close friends.
Idk since she agreed to do the remake of icarly
Please, don't demonize Miranda like other commenters. She hasn't done anything wrong
Of course she does they are good friends
@@lookatthiscutekittyc2903 never that just curious since she agreed to the reboot
Nick will be spiteful because of the truth she’s been dropping and they’ll write her in prison or something like that. They’ll say that Sam is a terrible person and that Carly tried to help her but failed.
Or say that she's dead
Agreed. I hope they just don’t mention her at all.
Or they'll do what they did in fuller house
@@imnotgoodwithusernames5715 your name and pfp 🤌
I'm proud of jennette for completely being confident enough to talk about her story and how she is moving on and bettering herself and her life away from hollywood's control. It's a wonderful thing to know for her.
I recently discovered your channel coming from Mila Tequila, and I love how you dont put creepy music behind everything or talk in a hush hush tone, like you're just talking about the story and sharing your opinion and it's much more enjoyable (and less anxiety inducing) than so many others trying to do the same thing!
Taylor Momsen is a rock singer who used to be an actress. She had a few roles growing up including Cindy Lu Who in the Grinch but is probably best known as Little J on Gossip Girl. However acting wasn't something she actually wanted to do and there was apparently some drama with her & the people working on Gossip Girl so she left and focused on her music at like sixteen & sings rock.
I really hope she finds the comfort to truly explore her creativity.
Jennette is so beautiful and talented. I feel like she would definitely slay a more serious role. And I hope she does something like that in the future. I would understand if she didn’t want to anymore, but yeah. Either way she has my support 💜
Man I remember when I was a kid I wanted to get into acting so bad, but my parents had no idea how to go about it. I am SO happy they didn’t after watching this and other videos you’ve done about the industry!
Same but i wanted to be a model or a singer. I'm glad my mom didn't allow me to bc Hollywood has so many predators
She’s so beautiful inside and out. I hope she never forgets that all she went through, was never her fault. Survivors of abuse are some of the most glittery, lovely people.
“McCurdy composed an article titled "Off-Camera, My Mom's Fight With Cancer", published in The Wall Street Journal in June 2011. It describes in detail her mother Debra's ongoing battle with cancer and how her family coped with the situation. On September 20, 2013, her mother died after battling cancer for 17 years.” Is there anything this poor girl wasn’t going through behind the scenes?
“The article also features advice from McCurdy on living with an ill parent.” 🥺
God, this breaks my heart. Maybe I missed it in the video but I didn’t know her mom died and I hope they were able to mend their relationship before she passed. Her mom forced her into acting at 6 and she wasn’t interested but their family needed money. I’m going to read the article now,
@Summer Kimberly Jeez someone wasn’t loved enough as a child. Sorry I am invested in this topic and Jennette and was using the comment section for what it’s for as I watched the video. It’s not my fault people liked my comments, I wasn’t expecting anyone to and that’s not something that I care about in the slightest. Idk how commenting on this video makes me a “sk*nk” but ok.👍🏼
@@mollyfoxxx there’s no need to apologize to that person. They are just being a jerk on the internet
I feel like the icarly revival is going to make Sam be in jail or something like that. Something where there’s a reason she can’t be around
Or maybe she’s working as a full time baby sitter in LA
Or maybe give her the Benoit treatment
@@justinterry7853 is that anything like the Olsen treatment on Fuller House?
@@kaylabrandon4705 Nope. The Benoit Treatment is like erasing the character from existence. For instance, the WWE erased Chris Benoit from existence because he killed his wife and son then killed himself.
@@flashfunk0373 yeah, what my point was for Sam is maybe they will erase her or nothing mention her because they'd probably felt butthurt from her decision to not return since it seems Nickelodeon cares about the dollar and not seemed to be concerned about the kid stars's safety
I just hope that they don't do something like: "She's in jail". If she is riding around the US in her bike, that would be cool. They could just have a body double with a helmet.
I hate how her parents basically depended on her to support the family instead of letting her be a kid. It bothers me that her mom helped her stay thin by eating so little calories. It just doesn't seem like something a loving mother would do.
I can't remember what episode but she played a sexual assault victim on law in order s.v.u. she couldn't have been more than 8
She has such an amazing personality and she is so cute
10 years old is “do you have games on your phone” in mentality. Too too young to ever be the breadwinner
I remember ONLY watching iCarly because my favorite character was Sam. to me, she was the only REAL and relatable one on the show. now I realize that she probably wasn’t acting, which truly breaks my heart. I love and respect Jennette so much for staying real and having the courage to speak out ❤️
Mannnn I’m gonna miss her on screen. But honestly this is a blessing. She survived this sick environment
After all these child stars expose hollywood I don't understand why parents keep pressuring their kids to act just for the money... There's other options and it is not worth the abuse they go through... Then when the child stars grow up and start doing drugs or act crazy then people start judging instead of helping
It's really sad how the character we all loved went through all that. She suffered for our happiness..
She’s gorgeous! And... we’re supposed to be “homely” when we’re 10
Agreed
I feel like ‘sound guys are especially creepy’ implies that more than one sound guy is like this, like it’s common for them to be? It’s so messed up I hate this for child stars, they need to be discontinued and replaced with cgi or something lol
They have to put on mics weaving it through clothing sometimes so it is very easy to be creepy while pretending your just working
I hate how so many of my happy childhood memories came from someone who was suffering so much
You are single-handedly sabotaging the iCarly reboot, which I fully support. You need to have her on your channel!
Dan made her character food-obbsessed as he knew she had a disorder. this makes me sick! its crazy to think about how long dan shniders theiroes were going on for, and how he was a bad man, but only got kicked off of nickelodeaos when it was too late.
Kids being in tv should be abolished it’s sad to say but WTF her whole family depended on her as a child actress imagine the stress on that child 🥺
Woah woah, abolished sounds too far, tho I agree that putting a heavy burden on a child should be illegal unless if the parent or other grown ups are in serious condition where it’s nessesary IF the child him/herself has come to age like 16-18 where they are old enough to support the family for the mean time.
While its true there are creeps in the entertainment industry, not all child actors expirenced such torture and still held a good and happy life.
Examples:
Ron Howard
Anna Cathcart
Dove Cameron
Nathan Kress
The guy who played Gibby etc.
@@firemangan2731 I can see how you may feel that way and I do agree because age 16 your parents can sign you off as an adult. I still know 100% that a good healthy parent would not put a child through such a hard schedule under 18 because even in some states you can not work more then a part time because of labor laws yet when it comes to Hollywood it’s such a la la la land that people feel supreme and laws somehow done apply there. I’m so fed up with so much abuse that so MANY MORE children and even young adults have gone through like Corey, Britney, Amanda, Kesha, Shirley Temple, Miley Cyrus, KPOps even, the Olson twins, etc the list of those who’s innocence was stolen from them is much greater then those who who didn’t. This industry has done the job of proving how inhuman it actually is it’s anti human it’s all Smokey mirrors if you think about it look how dumb and dead someone looks after watching tv over a life time compared to everything else it’s a lot of screen time for human beings who to our core have to have substance some enrichment of what we do why we do it. This industry is not even something that adds to us it distracts us it starts trends but when has it with all the money it has fixed anything? California skid row is a nice start.
There's a reason children cannot work until they are 15/16 (some states 14 which I think is still too young) bc children should not be depended on by their families for financial support. I guess the industry gets an exception, as always. I do think child actors are important for some roles, but there needs to be tighter regulation.
I always knew she was the best actor on the show, pretty inside and out .
I love how compassionate you are. You speak straight from your heart and I think everyone appreciates the genuine care you put into your videos.
I noticed a lot of these nick child actors let themselves go... This terrifies me. Especially Bynes.... She want from gorgeous to a wreck. Something has to be done!!!! I feel like they actually suffered more than what they are willing to admit
I find it kinda gross that Miranda Cosgrove agreed to do the reboot. Is she that desperate for money that she can’t show solidarity for her costar, a fellow woman and victim of abuse on the very show she and Jennette grew up together on? She knows everything that went down.
Especially knowing she had been suffering from anorexia and bulimia from age 11, which Dan Schneider was WELL aware of. He’d assert his power over Jennette because was the only one who’d speak up when she was uncomfortable with her lines/scenes. Dan literally punished her by making her character food-obsessed.
Some kids grow up in Hollywood and aren't bothered by the evil. In fact many continue the cycle with their children
@@mollyfoxxx i mean in the end isnt that her own decision to make icarly reboot?... and the fact that dan scheneider wont be directing icarly reboot, she is allowed to do it? i guess..
Um she’s allowed to want to do a reboot lol. I mean I get where you’re coming from, but to say Miranda’s wrong for wanting to do the show makes NO sense. It’s not just her ya know, Jerry and Nathan were on board 100% too. 🤷🏻♀️ They’re not “taking a jab” at Jennette in any way just because they want to do a revival show 😂 I haven’t seen those 3 say anything bitter about Jennette not being a part of it, and likewise I haven’t seen Jennette be bitter at them for wanting to do a reboot. Maybe start thinking about what you’re saying before you post it lol
@@ivyvanderwall I didn’t say they said anything about Jennette not taking part in it but if my best friend and coworker was abused on the same set they grew up together on, I wouldn’t take part in it. It’s just my opinion. Who knows if Miranda had the same experience but I would want to show solidarity for my friend who was a SA victim on the same show that Miranda is taking part in, different crew or not.
I always thought Jeannette was/is absolutely beautiful that’s mind boggling to me that she “reads homely” how awful
It’s so heartbreaking that most of my childhood (along with millions of others) was made by someone who’s childhood was literally ripped from hers. I feel so horrible. I’m glad she’s speaking up against Schneider.
Sometimes I feel people confuse unique with “homely.” Ya, she doesn’t look like Victoria Justice or Miranda Cosgrove. She’s a different person and beautiful in her own way.
She was better looking than miranda (looking like the 6th jackson)
And I cant unsee Victoria in that goblin makeup from victorius
I'd say jeanette was the most beautiful
@@mariearchambeault145 there’s no reason to bring the other girls down to uplift Jeanette. All of them are very pretty, just in different ways.
@@KassandraQuiseng ik
Its ite sorry it came off that way
I’m actually surprised that anyone thought of her as “homely.” As a kid watching the show, I thought that she looked too pretty to fit her “rude” character.
She was definitely more shapely than Miranda. But that's just me.
Please talk about what is going on with Sia/Maddie Ziegler/grooming tendencies
Yesss this needs to be said!
I don't see why it needs to be talked about. She's not grooming her. People use that term too loosely anymore. And throw the term around for anything they want. Its gonna get people hurt when you're not using the right words to describe your opinion.
@@CannibalFetusRobbery the relationship dynamic is kinda strange between them..
@@CannibalFetusRobbery of course you say that because Sia is a woman but let’s say she was a man you’d be extremely sus. Don’t lie.
@@CannibalFetusRobbery okay what if the relationship was with a young male and an older male? stop this double standard crap. its a weird relationship for sure.
I always said that iCarly show was sketchy. People were sounding the alarm on Dan Schneider a long time ago, I'm glad he finally is getting exposed.
I remember there being a story about Jeanette McCurdy having a small crush on Jerry Trainer (aka Spencer) something small and not a big deal. But when her mom found out she told Jerry. He laughed it off but would tease Jeanette on set about it pretending to propose and whatnot. I blame her mom more then Jerry for it even if he was complacent and does deserve some fault.
Also there was an episode where Sam got mad at him and said something like,"If I didn't have a little crush on you I would punch you in the face!" And all the characters were silent then Carly went,"Little crush?" And they just talked like normal (my memory isn't that good but you reminded me of that, I'm going to try to find the clip)
I'm guessing they did that on purpose to humiliate her...
@@SapphireHeartTippy Spencer was the one who asked little crush. It was the episode where he went around pranking people. Jerry Trainer would tease her on set. I hope he was harmless about it but the mom was still out of line for sharing it.
Jeantte McCurdy weirdly looks like a different person while also looking like exactly the same person.
You know, in some of your other videos where you talked about young girls on the show marrying much older men (who were also on/working for the show) pretty much as soon as they became legal...it made me re-think a situation when I was underage and this much older man took an interest in me. I was also in school for acting and he was kind of a professional mentor, and I can say it's crazy how you can make yourself believe behavior is normal when, with the benefit of hindsight, you can see quite clearly that it was inappropriate and what the older person was really after. Very eye-opening. Thanks for helping me understand!
Remember that episode when Sam and Carly had to do that pageant?? Ngl but Sam looked wayyyy better in the gown than Carly did.
YES I would love to see Jeanette act again! I would actually see her in period pieces like Anne, Little Women, Road to Avonlea, wearing a frilly bonette and a full length giant gown. I think she would be amazing in like 1800-1900's!
I always thought that Sam taught me how to be strong in tough situations. Turns out it was Jenette that taught me how to be strong enough to speak my truth.
she's so smart to do what's right for her
We need to start a movement to end child labor, period. Child acting should not be an exception. No child should bare the responsibility of providing for anyone.
Good for her. For leaving acting, and speaking out. I hope she can heal.
Thank you so much for sharing these stories, very brave
