      When you make the level editor, do you think you can make a tutorial on how you did it? Edit: If you want to make your life easier, I recommend using GILES 2020 ( github.com/FAL2009/giles ). If you add it to your project, you’ll get one compile error, just go into the code and get rid of GUIElement on line 64.

    *You plant a magic forest to save the Tree of Life from the taint carried by mysterious golems*
    This is the pitch for my minimalist relaxing Tower Defense game (I wrote the pitch in 5 minutes, maybe it's not very good).. what do you think?
    It's a different take on Tower Defense: the Tree of Life damages the golems, the player can plant trees to distract golems from killing the Tree of Life. There isn't a "real currency", you can plant and upgrade trees without any cost (maybe I will change this later on), but when a tree dies, the taint grows, and if the taint reach a certain limit, you lose.
    When a golem dies, the taint shrinks, if it goes to 0, you win
    (You also lose if the Tree of Life dies, because golems won't receive damage anymore)

      There are also some other things, the map "is procedurally generated", there will be things like flowers that will boost the health of the trees...

    • @JonasTyroller
      @JonasTyroller  3 роки тому +11

      Nice pitch. Depending on who you pitch to, it should probably also include the genre of the game. "An unusual tower defense game about planting trees." is sth I like for example.

      For the art style I still don't know what I will do (now I am still prototyping), the "problem" is that I am a solo dev and I am mostly a programmer, but I will put a lot of effort into graphics and music, because I want it to be a relaxing game like Equilinox/Islanders
      The scenario should be on top of a floating island

    Get your laundry in order! Man, I can't stand these heaps of clothes on the ground. My girlfriend does that all the time. It is not that hard. Prototyping, analyzing, and refining huh? Feel like i learned that one already from an old game i used to play that had this crappy map editor. (Starwars galatic battlegrounds. Basically an age of empires 2 reskin, with more focus on ranged units.) It was supposed to be possible to make cut scenes and stuff, but it's so incomprehensible it might aswell be straight up coding.
    That or im dumb as a stack of bricks. Which wouldn't surprise me any.

    I am trying to make a shop in my game but I can't even show the money earned by the player I tried ti use playerprefs but I don't know how to add existing money to the new earned money can you tell me hoe to do it there are no tutorials in youtube as I know.please please please please.

    • @WannibeManisha
      @WannibeManisha 3 роки тому

      Playerprefs should work. Grab the value from playerprefs in the start function and store it into a variable. Then add to it whenever needed. Set it back to playerprefs at the end of the game/on save points. There are some simple solutions on Unity Answers. Hope this is somewhat useful for now though :)
