    Andre turned out to be a really solid guy, despite what the world tried to make him into. He doesn’t have to put on a show for these people, but he clearly enjoys doing so. Good on you, Andre.

      @@sasmitvaidya3594 Agassi and Sampras definitely retired a while ago. both were long time n°1 and kept playing very competitively at a "late" age around 35. Sampras use to hold the grand slam victories (14) before Nadal/Federer/Jokovic all shattered his record (20). Sampras is still #3 in number of weeks at #1 ranking. he was also Federer spiritual predecessor with classic style, one handed backhand, attacking and coming to the net

      @@rockybeachy Agassi nearly hit it at the requested speed, which is hard to do. If he had gotten it exactly we would say he "nailed it", but he hit 114 instead of 113, so he "nearly nailed it." Fed was shocked at how close Agassi was to the requested speed

    I met Agassi at the at&t challenge and again at another similar event. He was by far the nicest sports athlete i ever met. He stayed an extra 20mins or so to sign everyone's autograph. He also didnt do the classic scribble but actually wrote his name clearly. He talked, smiled, and answered any questions asked. He was just fantastic both times i saw him.

    I was a ball boy for this match in Indian Wells! So cool for little 11 year old me to see so many legends, and the stadium had never been more packed. It was electric! I even messed up a toss to Roger once but he just did a cool trick out of it. 😊

    As a kid l loved watching Connors and Mac with my Dad but those were his guys , when Andre came along that dude was Gen X and that was my favorite player and always will be , the unexpected breakthrough win at Wimbledon to his later stage in his career unexpected dominance Andre always always subverted expectations from mysterious losses to herioc wins , there will never be another like him, must watch TV for sure

    Being from Las Vegas andre Agassi is a legend here who has done alot for the community. I've met him a few times and he's a super nice guy and always has time for autographs and pictures with his fans.

    Agasi is the one that had me watching Wimbledon every year. I became a tennis fan because of him, and he wasn't even the best (now that I think about it), but he made it fun.

      @@crisvok Absolutely, he won a bunch of big tournaments. Gold in the Olympics, and he was bad-ass in the Austrailan Open. Now that I think about it. Maybe I'm focusing too much on Wimbledon, and once Sampras and that era came...idk. I'm going to have to look it up now..... But, I still loved watching him. Almost as much as McEnroe.

      Agasi made tennis cool. I was always thinking it was a sport for spoiled brats until he came along. I remember so many battles between him and Sampras. Sampras was a beast with probably the best serve in the game at that time. So many great players in that era.

      May not be the best, however he and Nadal are the only male players with a Career Golden Slam in Men's tennis. All four majors and the Olympic Gold. Not bad for the image is everything guy who really became great during the later years of his tennis career.

    Agassi was my favourite as a child. Now it’s Roger. Amazing having Nadal, Federer, Andre all in the court together wow what a moment for tennis fans. Such legends of the sport.
    And that 114 MPH haha almost perfect.

    Had the privilage of watching Andre play some years back in Key Biscayne. The skill level of these guys is mind blowing.

      I took lessons from a former 110th ranked player. Yeah, how good they are is scary. The guy's name was Scott Christie and he was amazing. I can only imagine how good these top players are to see live.

      @@tortillasarenotbiceps7622 Yeah I became friends with a top pro female player who lived near me. She invited me to hang out one day and watch one of her workouts. On the other end of the court were two men, both former pros. And they were still young lest anyone think they were old men or something. And she was basically "sparring" at like an 8/10s pace and every so often would turn it up to 11 and bury the both of them. I mean what else can you expect from someone who had professionally beaten several #1 players (Venus Williams, Kim Clijsters) but once again, it was really wild to be at some local tennis court and witness that. Super nice, humble kid I was really sad she was always plagued with injuries. Again the skill level of people at that level is just incredible. And like her, they're often just as or almost as good at other sports as well. It's like they have several more gears than the rest of us.

      @@Matthew9818 Well you probably mean he didn’t reach 140 on a regular basis or that it’s uncommon. His fastest serve was clocked at 143, but that wasn’t a common occurrence.

      Roddick said federers was the hardest serve he had to face. It was a decent speed but very accurate and impossible to read. It's not all about speed

      Look for the clip where Agassi and Sampras banter turns into insults when Andre brings up Pete being a stingy tipper at restaurants. It gets REALLY awkward lol I remember watching this live on TV and felt so uncomfortable with how awkward it was for Federer and Nadal lol they’re rivals but really respect each other, meanwhile, I was worried that Pete was going to hop the net and fight 😂😂

    I remember watching Agassi winning his first Wimbledon. For the longest time, he was kinda looked over and just considered a second rate tennis player. Then the 90’s happened, and Agassi & Sampras owned the decade.

      Hmm. Before winning Wimbledon, he had already played 3 GS finals and won the ATP finals (aka the Masters). Not to mention how he had smashed top players like Becker a few times. So no, no way he was seen as a second rate player at the time.

      @@olivierfitoussi1032 we must remember things differently. Up until he won Wimbledon, I always viewed him as the male version of Jennifer Capriati. A solid tennis player, but one step down from the megastars. Kinda like how Michael Chang was. Capable of beating the stars, but most times didn’t. That was only during the teenie bopper mullet stage though lol. Once he ditched his long hair, it’s like he became a whole new player.
