- Homo erectus, or "Upright Man," has been upheld as a piece of mankind's "evolutionary history" since its discovery in 1891. But what exactly is this supposed ancestor? How old is it really?
Host Trey and Dr. Jeff Tomkins discuss this vital topic on episode 68 of The Creation Podcast!

Good job 👏🏻
The information i get from this channel is like scaffolding for my faith. I used to have a lot of difficulty finding it within my self to whole heartedly believe in God, not because I didn't want to but because overcoming the brainwashing involving evolution that I had picked up all during my time in secular grade school was just too much of a hurdle. This channel along with Dr. James Tour have cut down those evolutionist arguments so well, that it has helped me to understand that the best explanation for human existence is in fact that we are Gods creation. Amen, thank you for this invaluable gift 🙏🙏
Amen brother, you and me both.
If you like looking into prophecy and it's incredible accuracy, may I suggest the work of Dr.Chuck Missler also here on UA-cam.
In hour 13 of his "learn the Bible in 24 hours" series, he goes into the specific prophecies that Christ fulfilled.
@@larryhorton8384 Thank you dear brother.
I go to a church here in Norther California (Calvary Chapel) I believe Dr.Missler started this church and at one point they had about 200 churches here on the west coast.
Anyhow my pastor of 10 years now started in ministry working with Chuck Missler and he is always telling me stories about how amazing person Chuck was.
My pastor started his own branch of Calvary Chapel here in Rocklin California and it is a lovely place. The teaching are very practical and level headed which is what I love about.
Thank you for taking the time to respond dear brother. 🙏🙏
I gather you have a hard time accepting facts. Common amongst YECs 😂

In 1984, I had a "Population Geography" class with a delightful professor with the appropriate name of Blauwelt. As a German speaker, I understood his name immediately (blue world). I was the only creationist in the class. He showed us a photo he had taken of a table with many different kinds of human skulls. "The strange thing about this collection is these are all people who have died since 1990."
I love your program! I am a senior citizen, age 79, with no background in science at all. I love the Lord and I'm fascinated by creation. I love that you make this simple enough for even me to understand! Thank you and God bless you.
The fact that you have "no background in science at all" is why you are vulnerable to believing this garbage. Please talk to some anthropologists, science museum curators, college professors, etc. This channel is nothing but an indoctrination site, and no educated person believes anything they are preaching. Think for yourself. When you have almost no knowledge, you will believe anything.
Try obtaining an elementary background in science.
I also love how the average person thinks that stone tools are just a stupid cave man thing. Have you ever really thought about it? First it would require trade to get the correct type of rock such as obsidian whick is volcanic, but also it was highly skilled and took a lot of intelligence. There are a couple guys online who do it and when you watch the skill and precision it takes and the high quality tool that can be produced by it is amazing. I challenge the average person to go make an actually useful shone tool, not just picking up a random rock to try and drive a nail or something, you probably cant do it.
as far as crisper technology goes, it is neither good nor bad. It is the mind behind the intended use of the tech. Just like a gun. It is neither good nor bad and can be used to save or take lives. It is the intentions of the mind behind the trigger. Mat 24:6-8 talks about wars and rumors of wars (rumors = cold war possibly?) and pestilence. I find myself wondering if we create the pestilence ourselves with this technology. naturally, there has always been pestilence but, Mat 24:7 seems to indicate an increase from the natural occurrence.
Where do u think Covid came from. Obama & Fauchi gave millions to Chinas bioweapons lab & intentionally released it on the world. Just the precurser of much worse to come.
Christ does have all authority and He is in control. The eyes of the Lord are in everyplace, beholding the evil and the good.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path.
My brother and I joke that we are cavemen because we both have very heavy brow lines. He acts like one, too.

You cannot draw a definitive line between species. The Australopithicus/Homo line is so fuzzy as not to exist. The change is steady and constant, not sudden and in stages.
It's not like Homo habilis molted one day out of Australopithicus afarensis.
Then there should be other species much more closer to Humans than the apes. Don't you think?

"The original human couple would have had a pristine set of genomes". Upon what basis does he make that astounding statement? What is a "pristine set of genomes"? He starts out with a huge whopper in his very first sentence in a video supposedly about the "shocking truth".
We're devolving with random gene mutations every generation. So yea the original would have to be much more "pristine" than us.
@@infiad1275 That is not answering my question about the basis for the claim, but merely restating the proposition. How exactly are we "devolving" from gene mutations? If a gene sequence goes from ABDC to ABCD, is that a "de-evolution"? Why? What if we are smarter as a result? Or have better eyesight? Or we have lighter skin? Is that all "de-evolution"? Why?

The Big Bang Fantasy
The only explanation for our being here is an eternal being. Other than that no explanation of our existance can ever be, because at some point all other explanations have to have a beginning and there isn't one, yet we are here.
I have a much easier time believing in an eternal God, than to believe the ridiculous explanation that we exploded into existance from either nothing, or a pinhead of matter.
I challange all atheistic scientists to take any combination of any elements you want "the size of a pinhead or smaller" and create an explosion that will rock one city block , let alone create an ever-expanding universe.
This is pure fantasy.
If not let me know when you have assembled the products for your demonstration.
By the way, this will never happen because there is no such combination of products to assemble, just atheistic fantasies.
Next calculate the entire mass of the universe in molocules and mathmatically condense it into a pinhead size. This will be impossible as highly condensed black holes, which each individually are much larger than a pin head, while having a lot less matter, show us. Mathmaticians will probably run out of space in the pinhead before condensing the volume of the earth, let alone the universe.
With this already known, how would a pinhead of matter that would have infinatly more gravity than a black hole ever get a pimple on it, let alone explode. Not even light can escape these gravity dense objects. This is known from our own observations. They show the "Big Bang" to be impossible.
The theory is a joke.
Yeshua is King!

OK, so you've insulted us. What else do you have to offer, or haven't you thought that far? Is "evolution" directed or undirected by some compelling force? How do you know if it's one or the other? Are you aware of the mathematical absurdity of purely chance guided evolution which relies on literally billions of beneficial mutations world wide in each and every species on the planet, each beneficial mutation itself being an incredible mathematical abrogation of probability and often requiring numerous, simultaneous such beneficial changes in a single organism to accomplish the pretended new "advantageous" change? And this repeated over and over and infinitum around the globe?
As you say, "it's 2024" (as though the numbers actually mean any sort of "progress" simply because they are bigger than years previous to them). Pray, sir, enlighten us poor kooks...
@@cdc3 Dear oh dear! Haven't you anything new?
Imagine a 400 mile drive. Have you any idea of just how precise you have to be steering your car along that narrow path for 400 miles? That level of precision is impossible! Meaning that a mysterious force must guide you. There's no evidence for it whatsoever but look at the numbers!
I think this force is called "Magic Woo-Woo" and mathematically speaking, the Magic Woo-Woo must be there. You can't argue with math, now can you?
D'you see where you're going wrong? Of course there's no guiding hand steering evolution. If there was then the Giraffe's laryngeal nerve wouldn't take the route it does! (There are millions of such cock-ups in biology caused by evolution not "knowing" where it's going.
But you won't look. You're too frightened I'm right.
It's all very sad really. Such a waste of time, energy, people and money.
Your deity can build universes, poof animals into being etc. but needs our help (and cash) to build homes for himself that he never visits.

Darwin didn't say humans evolved from apes. He said that humans and apes share a common ancestor. Solid science, based on evidence

Large brow ridges were also a Neanderthal feature. White Europeans are anywhere between 3-6% Neanderthal. Red hair is another feature inherited by Neanderthals.
Only Homo sapiens have no brow ridges and possess chins.
The truth that we are great Apes is shocking to some. Usually the religions are the most shocked by this reality.
Except that we are not great apes. That is why we are not surprised. Ignrants are surprised to find out that they were duped by liars and worship a religion based on the imaginations of men. It is called Darwinian big bangism.
So, what is your epistemology? "Quid es veritas"? Around what framework do you decide what is or is not 'TRVTH"?
@@cdc3 How about we start with the assertions I see as being evidently not true until they are proven to be true? Things like miracles, the supernatural, ghosts, and other physics defying feats asserted by unknown humans who lived two thousand years ago?
We can add to that things like creation myths.
I don't claim to know the truth.I only claim to be either convinced or unconvinced of assertions Or somewhere in between those two.
For example
Based on all the evidence we have To suggest human beings are responsible for the creation of the watch and the building. I believe human beings are responsible for creating watches and buildings.
Based on a lack of evidence to back up the assertions , I don't believe characters from books created the universe or anything else for that matter.
I didn't know we've decided theory was truth.
Another problem is the limits of dating. Now, with new technology added, we have no consensus.
Plus we know now fossils can be created in a laboratory in 24 hours. They are created from sudden catastrophic events and not millions of years.
@@Betsy.Ross76 Well a theory is the highest confidence we have in something. Science does not determine whether something is true or false science just explains the evidence it observes And again a scientific theory is the highest Confidence science can have, But even scientific theories are subject to change. They are not set in stone like some sort of religious dogma.
Science is not intended to be perfect. But the scientific process works to improve, test, replicate, develop, debate, compare, demonstrate and respond to knew data. There are many things scientists still do not yet understand. And constantly searching for new evidence. Theories can be proven wrong. This does not mean that the process is all flawed.

I am not a paleontologist either, but can never the less see through some of his nonsense.
He insists in a clear line between the genera Australopithecus and Homo.
But if that existed why would creationists disagree so much about the status for some of the species?
There are threee major creationist organisations and they differ widely on their position on varius Homo (H.) and Australopithecus (Au.) species.
AiG think H. naledi was an Ape while H. rudonfensis, H. habilis and Au. sediba were Human.
ICR think H. naledi probably was a Human while H. rudofensis H. habilis and Au. sediba were Apes.
ICR think H. naledi, H. habilis and Au sediba were Apes, while H. rudolfensis was a Human.
No consensus in sight.
Why do you care about consensus? I don't have to be a specialist in a field to know that evolution isn't real, and all that classification is BS, this it doesn't really matter whether I think one looks more like a human and the other as an ape.
Most of the time disproving a lie takes much more effort than actually just making a false claim.
Also, it's not like the mainstream scientific community has consensus on anything. And when they do, I'd actually be worried because it usually political and ends up in some really bad stuff.
That conversation makes me think about some good questions about consensus: was there consensus about that pig tooth that was classified as part of the missing link? Was there consensus around the Darwinian Eugenics performed by many countries in which they sterilized or killed a lot of people in order to help evolution? I just wonder.
I am sorry, argument about Nikolay Valuev is a losing one. He has a medical condition called "acromegalia", which explains his apish appearance; when he was much younger, he looked perfectly human. This blooper mares your otherwise excellent presentation.

Should Christians adapt to survive with science. While science continues to advance so rapidly and Conservation Christian arguments become even more obsolete. Develop a new understanding that works with science. Christianity has some great ideas that should continue. Obviously the bible was not written for a modern audience and should be done in context of culture, education, law, languages, and politics of ancient times. And Christian prophesies should not be constantly reiterated and reinterpreted.
I'll tell you what is shocking! We can all agree that ministry and spreading the Gospel has been an important part of the Church. But when did that start? Also, hasn't it occured to any of you that these ancient people were human beings deserving of salvation? They existed long before The Law was first given to Moses and far longer before the Ascension. Therefore, when did God decide when and what people actually had a soul deserving of salvation? And why didn't God give these paleolithic people a possibility for redemption? Why did he reveal himself 2000 yrs ago as the Son and before this as a "burning bush?" And what of all the people that existed in neolithic cultures before Sumeria and Babylon? Did God simply decide these people were doomed to Hell. Christianity is all very suspiciously nonsensical and irrational.

@@xviewmytubex Nonsense! The Bible doesn't address the fact that the native American Indians or the religious traditions of Hindus existed long before the Jews adopted a Cannanite God. Human beings were around at least 200,000 years before any of the Gods made their appearance. It has been more than 2300 years since Thales started a philosophical and scientific revolution, and yet most people are still craven knuckle heads who have been gifted with technology they hardly understand. The world is spinning into some sort of desperate form of lunacy. I agree that we haven't much time left but don't think for a moment that Jesus is going to save us. Man is the measure of all things. This is more and more true as we come closer and closer to the annihilation of the biosphere. If we continue to sleep walk into the future our children are doomed.
As to other people groups… we have records in the Bible mostly of God’s interactions with Israel and the history of Israel. That doesn’t mean that God was not revealing Himself to others as well. In fact, the wise men who went to see the Messiah as a baby somehow knew that the star they had seen was a sign of the king of the Jews being born. It is possible that God told them directly, or somehow relayed the message. A lot more has happened in history in regards to God than is written in the Bible. If it were all recorded, we wouldn’t be able to read it all. God kept it succinct while keeping the parts He determined were necessary and priority for us to know.
God is not willing that any should perish.
Adam knew God and no doubt passed along what he knew. Whether his descendants did so as well was up to them.
We know that Noach also knew God and communicated with Him. No doubt he passed along to his sons what he knew. They were the ancestors of all living humans now, so it was up to them to relay the truth about God.
Despite the neglect of many people throughout history, I would not be a bit surprised if God interacted with other people. He loves humans and cares for them.
“It was the best of religions; it was the worst of religions. It brought life, love, and compassion to a dark and cruel world. It also brought torture, repression, ignorance, slavery, and death to an innocent world. It burned with Light and Truth. It also burned the Bible and those who believed it.
“Those who adhered to it built universities, hospitals, and orphanages. They also justified poverty, exploitation, war, and conquest. They brought food to the hungry, medicine to the sick, work to the destitute, and hope to the hopeless. They filled the earth with contempt for man, contempt for God's creation, and contempt for God.

Pre-ape? You have some imagination. Did this theoretical ape have 48 chromosomes? I hear said we are 98% the same as a Chimpanzee ad nauseum. Do we at least have a fossil of this pre-ape?
Humans have always been humans, apes have always been apes, genetic load kills evolution, how can any species constantly passing on corrupt genetic information lead to ever increasing levels of complexity when the load will cause species extinction. Mutations are responsible for devolution, not evolution but the investment placed into evolution is so great all opposing evidence is disregarded and ignored because the horrific alternative to an evolutionist is GOD, and that is not tolerable.

The FACTS are that we evolved from a common ancestor we share with other great apes and this is beyond any doubt.
Why do you feel the need to proselytize about your pagan monkey gods on a Christian channel. Have you no respect for other people's faith?
Delusional, you are described by Romans 1:18-22. LUCA, last universal common ancestor has been demolished. Among the first thousand prokaryotic genomes that were sequenced, not a single protein coding gene is conserved across all genomes. Nobody can make carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, sulfur and phosphorus form a single protein or gene in a reasonable simulation of a prebiotic world.
Not "facts." Just because you claim something is a "fact" does not make it so. Sorry.
Live birth by live birth- how do you suggest such changes emerged? Apes gave birth to talking Apes? Whales nostrils just began altering their location? And developed sonar? Grow up
That’s the narrative presented as fact. Nonetheless a narrative it remains.
It's impossible for a creationist to evolve into an honest person. Therefore Evolution is debunked.
Is this a joke?
Your comment ? Yep ! 😂
Why waste time trying to prove something you don't believe in doesn't exist ?!?
What are you on about? I think the brainwashing has had an adverse affect on your English.
Watching people with no scientific credentials talk about a subject that they know nothing about is highly entertaining.
Watching someone make a completely false and uninformed comment is what’s entertaining.
@flybroon could you elaborate on your comment a bit. I’d like to know how you have came to the conclusion that these individuals have no scientific credentials as well as how have you concluded that they must not know what they’re talking about?
Have you done your own research? Are there in papers that you have published on this subject, or have you simply taken the words of others as indisputable facts? I’m genuinely asking these questions in the kindest possible way.
Amen
He is a PhD geologist. What are your qualifications? And there are biologists, astronomers, chemists, physicists that affirm the Creator. What age were you when you were taught the apeman mythology?
@@truthisbeautiful7492 actually, Tomkins is a PhD in genetics….
Today we are going to lie our tits off about prehuman fossils in support of our favourite book of Bronze Age fairy tales.
You assume too much- which is the pitfall of all evolutionists. 99% assumption, theory and philosophy- 1% science.
evolution is not bronze age. it is a modern day one
Lying for Jaaaysus.
lying for durrr win
Science is not intended to be perfect. But the scientific process works to improve, test, replicate, develop, demonstrate and respond to knew data. There are many things scientists still do not yet understand. And constantly searching for new evidence. Theories can be proven wrong. This does not mean that the process is all flawed.
