More About Star Trek: Star Trek is an American space opera media franchise based on the science fiction television series created by Gene Roddenberry. The first television series, simply called Star Trek and now referred to as "The Original Series", debuted in 1966 and aired for three seasons on the television network NBC. I absolutely love Spock's voice in Discovery, so soothing and powerful. Great casting on that part!
I am really excited to see Ethan's take on Spock. I can only imagine the magnitude of pressure/responsibility of stepping into the shoes of such an iconic character at a time in his life unknown by the audience, while simultaneously making it his own...and staying true to the original.
Exactly. Peck has a respect for his predecessors and coming into his own.
I honestly love Peck's Spock. Nimoy will always be my favourite but the way Quinto and Peck play such a beloved character that raised so many people is so good. They both get so much hate for no reason 😭 I definitely prefer Peck's SNW spock over his Discovery performance, but overall, I think he played the role amazingly.
OMG......why do people who hate something, search so hard to find a platform of the thing they hate, just to spew their hatred? Get a life! This week in the season 2 finale. The season is so much better than S1....the addition of Anson Mount & Ethan Peck brought this show & story up so many levels. There is a large fanbase pushing for a Pike/Spock spin-off that would cover the Pike years on Enterprise b4 his traumatic accident. There is more good press out there about this show NOW than there was when it aired in January. So Negative Nellies, please STFU, if you can't say anything nice.....don't say anything at all.

Greg S “small minority” ? It’s universally hated. Only the legacy media coverage paints it as positive. Real fans hate it. It’s not about not embracing change, it’s about poor writing, and a terrible actress for the lead. CBS won’t even admit that this is the last season. But all the insiders know already. They’re moving productions to Hollywood to cater to the Picard series which they are hedging all their bets on. STD is thankfully circling the drain. This show will fade into obscurity and we will collectively erase it from whatever cannon they try to pin it to.

Not to mention that even though you can watch STD for free right now, nobody is watching it. They can't even GIVE it away. He still isn't Spock. Leonard Nimoy was Spock. PERIOD.
Yup...this is Kurtzman trying to claim he helped create the Spock we knew and loved, he didn't do it...Gene Roddenberry and Leonard Nimoy created the Spock we knew and loved...unfortunately they aren't around to defend themselves.
If there was no doubt before, this completely proves Discovery is no better than bad fan fiction.
@@Kit_Kat_Catastrophe There are Trekkies who still haven't watched the original Pilot The Cage. Peck is filling in the gaps as to how Spock evolved from he served on The Enterprise when Pike was the Captain to Kirk! It is the original timeline, not the Kelvin Timeline!

You are wrong. It is in the original timeline. Peck's version of Spock is close to the original.
@@Globalman43 Spock has no sister,he was never in the looney bin ,they have already admitted this story is JJ trek. there is no section 31 in Roddenberry Star Trek
Prime timeline =/= original timeline. Both the prime and kelvin timeline are seperate from the original and are set in the JJ verse
@@djackson4657 They are adding more to the mythology and mythologies must evolve. There is no perfect society and the Federation is no exception. Even Roddenberry realized it.
