Not at his age, no. At this stage of the game, Spock is the equivalent of a human adolescent, even though he's in his mid-twenties. He still finding himself. Hence, why you see him experimenting with and occasionally experiencing human emotions, particularly in the pilot episode, " The Cage." It's only after his mind meld with V'ger during the events of the motion picture that Spock achieves the emotional balance that he requires and comes to terms with his human side.

Well, when you think about it, Spock was being raised and treated in the Vulcan (Sarek's) way his whole life. This is her chance, as his HUMAN mother, to do her way with her son.
