How great are Electric Cargo Bikes? The CERO ONE Review

We pedaled, we loaded and we tested... The Cero One is a Class 1 electric cargo bike. Capable of carry up to 300lbs (rider weight included), this bike is equipped with: Shimano Steps E6100 Mid Drive Motor, Shimano Inter-5E internal shifting 5 speed rear hub, Shimano 504wh removable battery. This Aluminum frame, 26" rear and 20" front mixed wheel cargo bike is just shy of 60lbs and capable of a 105 mile range.
Cero offers a wide range of accessories, including the LODEN racks made specifically for this bike and adaptability to the YEPP Maxi Seat.
This bike took over all of our lives as it became a staple for our review period. From commuting to work, trips to the market and local coffee shops, it even found its way into becoming the baby hauler for one of our testers and turned a new leaf for his wife who expressed wanting to ride to dinner or the park as opposed to driving.
Electric Cargo Bikes are a great vehicle substitute. The Cero One as a cargo bike is slightly odd compared to most, with its mixed wheel and only 68.3 inch length, it is easy to navigate and cruise around town with ease. The front rack is fixed to the frame which ergonomically offers you an intuitive and simple way to navigate, as opposed to some longer cargo bike options that have a steep learning curve to feel comfortable on for a fresh rider.
All in all, the Cero One is a fantastic build at $3799, with a great component build spec to fit the bill. We however do think that the frame left a rather rigid feeling when riding, but a stiff and rigid bike can take a lot of abuse and leaves assurance that it can carry the load safely.

It sure is a head turner! Super ergonomic though and comfortable for many many riders. A lot adjustability for everyone.

The good thing about electric bikes these days is that when you run out of fuel which in this case is electric fuel then you can recharge it rather than paying thousands of physical dollars pumping in the gas. As we know, gas prices are extremely high. The best part is that electric bikes will always be cheaper than cars hands down.

A real dream, and with the shorter wheelbase compared to other cargo bikes, much easier to navigate on campus and at bike racks.
