It’s incredible how being the straggler swimmer has proven to be the difference between being attacked or not. Sadly, the same thing happened years ago in Solana beach and that person died.
Thank God he's alive. There is a triathlon club in San Diego and swimmers do training swims together. In 2008 a 66 yr old dentist was killed off of nearby Solana Beach while swimming with a group. Ironically enough the club has a self anointed nick name, 'Shark Bait.'
@@RWB20 I've heard/read that some people think that black or dark blue wetsuits can be mistaken by sharks for dolphins belly's. But some shark experts say that's not true. That sharks are more likely to be drawn to bright yellow or white suits. Some Dolphins enjoy swimming along with swimmers, especially if they are fast enough to keep up. They are very playful and social creatures.
There is nothing to worry about. CSULB assures us that juvenile great white sharks are harmless. They don't have humans on their menu. See, before feeding they always check their menu, which they carry under their left pectoral fin. No worries at all.
Most shark attacks occur in shallow water, so who knows why they're telling them it's OK; the only way to protect swimmers is to fly choppers up and down the beach looking for sharks; they're easy to see. Just because you don't see them while you're in the water doesn't mean they're not there. You could be surrounded (and likely as not, are).
Crazy, someone just got bumped and their board bit in San Clemente last week. California is trying to pull CSULB's Shark Lab funding which would be a large blow to tracking these sharks. Let's not let that happen.
This came to me about a week ago...even had sharks appearing on various things, a song with sharks crossed path and also intuitive picked up on a sharks going to attack someone...and here it is 😳...also sensed more incidents of nature taking matters into its hands, especially animals, insects amphibians etc. 🤔
Ah reopened the beach quickly meal time for the sharks also a shark can swim right up to the shore stupid people should close it down put up shark nets and scan the area over and over always one about lurking about waiting
It's not like the shark is hanging out waiting to bit someone else.
They have to reopen the beach eventually and it will be no safer then than now.
Lol, no the experts talked to all the sharks and the sharks agreed to leave and move to another ocean.
Mentalities like yours is exactly what leads to more shark bite incidents.
@@QuanPookie And yours doesn't?

I remember that. They said that the shark went after him - out of the group - because he was in a black wetsuit.

Is the reporter illiterate? Or the person who wrote the teleprompts?
Orca drone needed. And the word is BITTEN!!!
"A juvile." Lmao!! 😂😂😂😂
Southern California is way more sharky nowadays from when I lived there.
More people also there’s definitely more sharks
The water looks very murky
Baby Shark appears to be following in the troubled footsteps of many washed-up child stars in California. A 'one bit wonder' of sorts. Sad to watch.
Juvenile, not juvile.
She said it fine. Stop looking something that's not there
@@CLong-cm5egshe said juvile
@@kasperpaisa4245 I watched it again.. yes, she said the word incorrectly. May your attention to detail bring you boundless success 🎉
Wow, sharks will bite you, Shocking news.
That shark is probably many many miles away by now !!!

Why do we need to track shark? And why r they pulling funding?
Yup, signs don’t mean sh** to most people. So like the reporter says “Go At Your Own Risk”.
And don’t expect to be saved.
I take my dog to this beach every week. We were on our way this day, but I wasn’t feeling good, and changed my mind. 😳
Summer has just begun... Beaches should be on every planet.
Bring the orcas out
I hope the man will survive.
