Pretty sure those burros are all wild now. They looked all black in color. It was so fun to fly the drone over...I tried to stay far enough away not to startle them. Take care and sleep well. 😀
Once again, and outstanding video. Your reverence for the natural world, the research and the great camera and drone work are inspiring. And of course Roodle makes the whole thing work. Thanks guys.
Spectacular scenery! What an amazing spot. We are not sure we would be able to handle 20 degree weather. With a good heater & warm PJs it may work. Lou & Angie 💚❤
Hey guys have you tried tire blocks? They strap around the tire through the holes in the wheels. They recommend only needing one per driving tire and are inexpensive. They actually work quite well. You can not drive fast with them, under 10-15 mph but they will get you out of most anything, snow, mud and sand. CHeck them out and see what you think.
We might have to try them. I researched them a couple of years back a thought they might be good and then forgot all about them. Thank you for the tip John!
I really like that you guys share info on the free stuff and where you are and how to get there. A lot of people don't do that because they want to keep it to themselves.
Thank you! We actually hope to inspire people to try the lifestyle we love so much and join us in these awesome locations. We love company and most of the time we are the only people around. Come out and camp with us😀 Take care and happy travels.
Just beautiful. I love seeing burros just minding their own business. Loved the Lake Walker shots. I'm dropping my van off at the builder's on Saturday. Then about 6 weeks wait. I'm excited.
Great video. Your videography, photography and drone photography are amazing. It's great that you give some background and history of the areas you visit. Happy travels.
Thank you for all your kind words! Carrie does a great job on our videos. We appreciate your positive comment very much. Take care and happy travels. 😀

Wow was this interesting! I love learning about the places you visit. Such a cool place, the lake with the mountains surrounding it. Loved the timing of your drone shots and music. It really created a sense of the place. Hopefully the lake can be restored to vibrant health. You captured some really awesome cloud formations! Wonderful video to go with my morning coffee!
Carrie is the only Photography in the van but I am having a lot of fun learning. I mostly handle the GoPro and the drone. Carrie is doing a couple of photoshoots soon to help cover some of the fuel cost to Alaska this summer 😀 Take care and have a good night.
Thank you! We have tried deflating the tires and have not had good results like our old Jeep. The commercial-grade 10 ply tires turn into 2 saw blades and carve right in sand. However that does work with most tires. Thank you for the sound advice. Take care and happy travels.
Another thumbs up video, 1. Do think wider tires would make a difference with getting stuck with the PixelMaster? 2. Would a selectable locker be worth the effort or expense if they are available for your van. I'm thinking about installing a OX locker before I hit the road. Be safe and avoid anyone coughing.
I would be worried about getting a wider tire because the room in the wheel well is small. Some places here in the west require traction devices to go over snowy passes in the winter. So you want to have room for cables are chains. I don't think you can go wrong with a selectable locker. I would love that option!
Sad, lake Powell and Mead's water levels are declining also. Not sure if this is because of man's presence or if this is the natural order of things.on the other hand, the Great Lakes levels are at record highs. Geat video, will definitely put Walker on my bucket list..
I’m here at Walker Lake right now, thanks to you guys 😊 I have to say, pictures and video don’t do this lake justice. It’s VERY pretty. The campgrounds down the road from here have many RV’s parked at them. But this BLM spot is completely empty at the moment.
Nevada is a pretty cool state and you just don't hear much about it. Great place to go for wide-open blue skies and not very many people anywhere outside of Vagas. 😀
Great spot. I just hope they don't try to fix that lake over night. It took 100 years of draining for farmers to get to this point, it won't be fixed over night. If you want to see lots of wild burro's Oatman AZ is a spot for them but be warned, it's a very touristy spot with lots of crowds. I'm glad I went once but probably won't ever go again. Great video. See you next time!
That's exactly how we feel about crowds! If we have to do it...it's once and done. It be pretty cool to go back to these dying lakes in a few years and see them on the rise. 😀
I would think the Pro Master wouldn't get stuck as easy with front wheel drive. You would know, you own one. Try airing the tires down when you are going through softer sand. Just be sure you have a pump to get your tires back up to road pressure when you are back on pavement. Low pressure makes a big difference
I totally agree with airing down. This is the first vehicle we have had that does not do well air down. The commercial-grade 10 ply tires turn into 2 saw blades and carve right down into the sand. We do love our traction boards! 😆 Thank you for the good sound advice. Take care and have a good night.
@@oneadVANtureatatime I learned something. I would have thought that all tires react the same aired down. Traction Boards and common sense will help you stay unstuck. You are doing something amazing
Another great video. Quick unrelated question. I just got a Promaster yesterday for my van build (so excited). Was wondering since your fridge cabinet touches your bed frame, can you feel or hear it when it clicks on and off? I was considering a similar layout as yours and that was one concern I have. I'm planning on a Dometic fridge also. Which size is yours?
Ours is the smallest one at 26 quart. We can hear it but it sounds like a very distant car driving by and most the time we never know it's on. Congratulations on your Promaster! We look forward to seeing you on the road! If you have any more questions please ask away. If we are in cell service range we answer right away. Take care and happy near future travels.
@@oneadVANtureatatime Thanks. That's what I needed to know. My layout will be feet towards the front so I'm sure noise will be fine. My concern was with clicking or jolting as the compressor turns on and off and it seems like with Dometic that isn't a problem. Good to know your size. I was thinking about that one for size and since we would be using it for vacay and weekend trips. You two are awesome and I love your videos. For the first time I actually get on UA-cam Wednesday and Sunday to see if you've posted yet. I think I was your second view Sunday. God Bless!! Have a wonderful adventure today.
yes it dying the river that flowed to it will the water was reverted for argulacture etc so the river does not make it there. i use to fish there. the lake nbeen dying up for years
They are so cute! Sadly, the whole planet is dying! It can't last forever with what we are doing to it! I don't blame your van for liking to play in the sand, it is fun!! hehehe Very nice boondocking spot! Beautiful video as always guys!!
Thank you, we keep finding these boondocking locations and there are no people anywhere! I guess people don't like a little bit of cold. Take care and thank you for commenting..much appreciated.😀

That's really good advice! He is all washed up now but we failed after that day. Thank you for the tip next time we will be all over it. 😀

The part you were walking on with the tire tracks didn't look as loose and sandy as the part you picked up beside the road.
True but soon as you break through that crust it's over at least for our van

This reminds me of the Salton Sea but not as bad. Hopefully it won't get as bad.
It sure would be awesome to come back to walker lake and see it healing and maybe even support fish again. 😀
Almost makes ya think it's connected to the Pacific Ocean via an underground cave.
We have heard that line of thought before 😀 I would not be surprised.
What caused the disappearance of the aquatic species - specifically, the cutthroat trout?
The lake gets saltier and more full of alkaline as the water level goes down. I really hope this lake heals and supports fish again someday.
