Don't you know you're supposed to have three peanuts placed exactly 2.5 in apart on your desk and rotate them 14 times counter clockwise, hula hoop, stand on ypur left foot while trimming your nails, and summon Satan for these things to work.

If it's like most in-freezer style ice-cream makers then it will be a hollow tray filled with brine, not solid metal. Metal actually dissipates heat very quickly, and will make things melt faster, not slower.

Don't spend $40US on this kit. If you want good, creamy, homemade icecream, it's simple. It's 1 cup whipped thickened cream, 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk, and mix it all together. If you're using fruit to flavour it, make sure you blend up the fruit and then reduce it down over a stove to make a fruit syrup.
Then freeze it, it should be ready the next day.
I like to make it with mango or strawberries. The key to not having ice crystals in your ice-cream is to reduce the fruit right down, you want to get rid of all excess water.

This is also amazing if you crush up meringue into it and mix in some lemon curd before freezing (not sure if this is available outside of the UK? It's basically like lemon pie filling but already made and in a jar.)
We usually line a metal bowl with wax paper so you can mould it and turn it out on a plate, serving it in slices. It is heavenly.

    • @PRoseLegendary
      @PRoseLegendary 6 років тому +7

Oh wait, I forgot to add that you should freeze it in Tupperware or glass container, and before you put the lid on, cover the ice-cream with cling wrap. That also helps prevent ice crystals.

    U know what’s a better one
    ( you will need )
    - 2 ziplock bags one bigger then the other
    -ice
    - salt
    - milk
    - sugar
    Directions
In the bigger ziplock put ice and salt
In the smaller ziplock put your milk and sugar
Then put your milk ziplock inside your ice one ( don’t forget to close them ) ( also if u don’t want to accidentally get salt in your ice cream put your milk ziplock in another ziplock that’s a little bit bigger ) and then shake it like a mad man after 1-5 minutes later tada you have ice cream for only like 2 bucks

You would only need a metal pan, milk/cream, and sugar plus whatever you want, as well as some handling tools like spatulas. All things that could be retrieved from dollar tree for less than 10 dollars. It's a waste of money, just a brand name box of garbage.

As a graphic designer/copywriter, it annoys me so much when I see things misspelled or with improper grammar... or just plain wrong! Drove me nuts for a while with all the products my company makes where I didn't have a hand in the design... right now I'm actually working on some new product labels (literally right now, as I watch your video haha!) and carefully checking everything over, so our products don't look unprofessional.
Got so mad the other day when I found out I wrote a bunch of copy for Amazon that was butchered by someone else who added it. Not sure why they didn't just copy/paste what I sent-which was approved copy that went through a stringent approval process, by the way-not something thrown together and open to reinterpretation.
Anyway, glad to hear you get salty about the "small things" that actually make a big difference in the perception of the end user! :)

That's true and it's not like it would've taken them that much effort! Goes to show how little they actually care about their customers.

Make your own ice cream churn with 2 empty cans...1 one-gallon baen can and 1 one-quart soup or juice can. Put the little can inside the big one and pack ice and thawing salt around it, but not all the way to the rim. Put your cream, sugar and flavouring in the small can and start stirring with a sturdy spatula. It takes a good half-hour, and you have to be mindful of the salt brine sloshing and getting into your ice cream as you churn, but it's still a fun food-science activity for the kids. I have also seen a variant of this activity done using two zipper freezer bags (ice brine in outer bag, ice cream stuff in inner bag) and kneading the bag stirs the cream and helps it freeze up...but you have to take care that the inner bag is properly zipped and does not burst.)

We put the Milk, Cream, Sugar and Chocolate into the Smaller bowl and mixed it together. Than we put the bowl with the ingredients into the bigger one and filled the Space between the Bowls, all around even under the smaller bowl, with the Ice cubes and the Salt. We put a towl over both Bowls and waited and stirred the Mixture in the smaller bowl from time to time. We had to wait a long time and a lot if stirring the Mixture but in the End we had Ice Cream. Why buying something for such a Experiment for 40$ if you have everything already at home?

It's a type of ice cream called Thai rolled ice cream. The way it's made is on a cold surface that's usually frozen with the use of TECHNOLOGY. To make it you pour the ice cream base which is probably cooked together and reduced to be more like ice cream once melted. Then you mix in the toppings and roll it in to tubes. It was a fad last yearish and really delicious when done RIGHT

Not that kids can’t do it, but I don’t know any kids that would WANT to necessarily. I’d much rather do this at home for basically free (aside from the ingredients of course), and let my kids enjoy the aftermath. Which may not even end up as rolls because... well, if you haven’t seen it, Threadbanger did this at home too. Lol

tips for actual ice cream rolling. you can use any cream.
    1. crush up the ingredients being added to the cream
    2. act fast try not to hesitate
    3. when rolling start from the middle
the most important step! just get normal ice cream. rolled ice cream is dry hard and too cold. the lack of air in the ice cream really isnt good.
