I agree with your sleep-in thoughts. I hate sleeping in, even if it's just until 9am. By the time I'm out of bed and functioning, it's 9.30. And then the day may as well be done. Yes I hate waking up to an alarm but when I do and I'm functioning by 7.30 it's a great day

Joe Abercrombie is someone I want to read, but I think Christopher Ruocchio's Empire of Silence will be first. That means I might very well decide to dive into the entire Sun Eater series if I love it...
I also tough Betty was Etain's girl (for knock nock, open wide). I think it is wanted, but the synopsis does name Ashling as Etain's daughter. I just finished the book, 4 stars for me! Actually the only horror that scared me at the end.

If you’re religious (like me) take some oil, pray over it and anoint the edges of the mirror. I haven’t had a night terror since. The upkeep is like once every six months or when you feel like you need to do it.

Hey I’ve got a question. Would someone (me) who hasn’t really read a lot of dark books but has watched some dark tv shows (can list them if you want) would I like The First law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie? It sounds good but I’ve never read a grimdark book before. Also is there any spice in it?
Dark humor, I would consider it a book without spice. Give The Blade Itself a chance and see how you feel. I went into it not knowing anything and fell in love with the characters. There is an intimate scene between two characters at one point but it's a bit sloppy which made it relatable because it wasn't the typical romance scene where the stars align and two souls become one lol.
I hope that was helpful I didn't want to overshare about the first law trilogy because I think it's better just to go in blind.

I would add that there are plenty of sex scenes throughout the series but I wouldn’t call them spice because they’re very much not erotic 🤮
