I love the prompt cards! But also, as someone who doesn't like snakes, I HATE how often they're used. It's particularly common in fandom neutral designs which sucks. There are other ways and animals to convey "dark" vibes. You don't see spiders showing up constantly...

I had The Republic of Salt preordered from Waterstones too. It was my most anticipated release for the year! I wish The Pomegranate Gate was more hyped. I don’t get Illumicrate but as soon as I saw the reading prompt cards in your video I went straight to Mercari and bought them off someone. Those will be so welcome when my mood reader brain is frozen. 😅
For edges, I have to go for Tales of a Monstrous Heart; it's simple, but it's actually pretty creepy! I do love that cover for Howl's (I've got the normal paperback with it), but it's so obvious they're trying to reference the Ghibli movie that I'm not sure how I feel about it, given they're both pretty different (from what I've heard, I have to read the book)
I'm at 2000 books on my book giveway at work in 9 months . I thrift them to make sure kids and teens are still reading. My last trip I spent 25 and got 218 books. I'm a host at applebees
