    And THAT is the perfect format for every instructional video ever.
    Simple, to the point, plenty of accurate verbal instruction, well paced, right length, no annoying/long intro, no annoying music.
    So, essentially, you've demonstrated much more than just the use of these tools. Thank you!

    You kept it short and sweet. I loved it. I am such a newbie to Illustrator but I tuned in to find out how to use the eraser tool. For instance, how to make it larger or smaller depending on the space I was using and you went directly there so this was wonderful!

    Maybe you can answer this. When I go to use the knife tool it draws the line but when I go to move the cut out piece the whole shape still continues to move as one item. Is there a setting or button I need to change?

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  4 роки тому

      If you've made sure to cut all the way across the object, you shouldn't need to ungroup or anything. You can just use your selection tool to grab the piece and move it. The knife really doesn't have settings, as far as I can tell, so I'm not sure why that's happening.

    • @GDHT
      @GDHT  4 роки тому +1

      I actually don’t use the eraser tool very often at all, I use the lasso tool to delete points. But illustrator works best with complete shapes so you’ll have to combine those shapes after you delete the points. It does take some getting used to, but if you use illustrator a lot, You’ll find it is a great program!
