Hey, there is a website selling a series of NWOBHM compilation CDs with Frenzy songs on them, along with dozens of other artists. They claim all their songs are licensed for sale of physical CDs and downloads. The website is Bandcamp, the account is Jobcenter Rejects. Are you guys, and all the other artists really getting licensing fees? Or are they just pirates?
IMO, the Frenzy singles are some of the best NWOBHM. Absolutely brilliant. Very melodic and energetic. Great vocals and guitars. I wish you would have recorded more. Best wishes.
It seems that these guys were not only listening to the usual hard rock bands form 1970 (like Deep Purple, LedZeppelin, BlackSabbath, Uriah Heep, Scorpions, Judas Priest etc) and not only the modern heavy metal bands like Iron Maiden, DiamondHead, DefLeppard etc, but they also listened to bands like Cure , Bauhaus etc from early 1980.
