Thanks for being patient everyone!! I've been so blown away by the kindness of the ARMY. Figured I'd do everything I could to get the full version of this up here ❤️. I'll have the edited 'You Never Walk Alone' up on UA-cam in a few weeks. It'll be Full on patreon before that (theres alot of other BTS stuff on there as well!). Subscribe here in the meantime! This series did a lot of things for my heart, mind, & perspective, & I’m eternally grateful for that. Sending so much love.
Pls pls watch live performances of all solo songs from LY trilogy, they're amazing :)
Your BTS album reactions are 💜💜💜 Thank you!
Hey, just so you don't get the wrong tattoo, the line says "even the SCARS that were formed from my own mistakes are my very own constellations". Scars not stars! 😅 I loved your reaction btw! You're probably my favourite reactor on this app and I'm always happy to hear your thoughts on these songs!
I really think you would love RM's solo album, MONO
It's a masterpiece lyrically and musically
thank you for your dedication! it's such a joy to find people who are genuinely invested in bts' artistry and to be able to experience their discography again through these videos
About trivia: love- there’s another little thing that those who don’t know Korean can easily miss! The word for person is 사람 (saram)while the word for love is 사랑 (sarang) so when he says “I’m just a person, you erode all my edges and turn me to love” is a play on words to how the ㅁ turns to ㅇ. Further proving how genius of a writer RM is. Btw I love your reaction videos to their music!!
Hope he sees this bc the world play in trivia love is crazy,, he did not just played with the way word sounds but also in the way words are writen/look! HE IS SUCH AN AMAZING ARTIST
what's cool and i don't know if he intended it (but knowing RM i'm sure he did), is that LIVE has a straight line and LOVE has a circle so when he sings about lines turning into circles it can be applied to english as well. my man just did a wordplay in 2 different languages like it was nothing.
Hope he sees this. 👆👆👆👆
To add both words sound similar in Korean. And the “live and love”, you can stretch that live = people, cause we’re living!
Yess hope he sees this 💖
female backing vocals in the Trivia songs is Adora, Until recently, she was one of the producers under BigHit (she recently started her own solo singing career)
And she is PHENOMENAL. Just wanted to say that, her voice is just gorgeous 🥰💜
trivia love also has backing vocals by June, who also used to be a producer and trainee at bighit but left to pursue a solo career. you should listen to his songs, he does some really cool r&b
I always thought it was her but someone told me is actually June from Planetarium Records and he used to be a bighit trainee !
true but backing vocals at the end in trivia: love did jungkook if i remember correctly, if not then he just sang it live during namjoons performance
@@Mina-kq6cf it’s not jk but I remember seeing a video of him singing it during rehearsal once !
trivia: love is insaaane. another thing about it, when he names all those letters in between i and u (jklmnopqrst), he purposefully separates and says pqrst in quick succession, because PQRST are the waves of the ECG (connected to the human heart.. another metaphor in there).
this!! joon is a genius 😭
wow
I completely forgot about the second part jesus
@@bonjoon RM while writing lyrics, composing , doing any tough job- IQ 148
RM while doing an easy job like cutting onions- IQ -148
Fucking inception
The message at the end of the Epiphany music video: "At the end of my journey to find myself, everything was back to where I started.
What I ultimately needed to find was the beginning milestone of everything,
which is a map of ones soul.
It’s something everyone possesses but not all can find..
From now on, I plan on searching for it"
And at that moment all the theorist ARMYs knew the name of the next album. 😂😂😂
man I love being an ARMY ! every time im reminded of how they connect they're albums and how the answer is self love but lets get into the layers of myself, the shadow, the persona, the ego and how to also love those parts in map of the soul😭 out here teaching philosophy while making me sweat from dancing
@@dandywelosky1023 it's mind-blowing, isn't it?? And people wonder why we have such big egos. We're just proud of those 7 brilliant and kind people. ;-)
Epiphany live was literally life-changing. 40,000 ARMYs holding their purple lights aloft singing "I'm the one I should love in this world" alongside Jin's powerful ballad vocals?? Literally just goosebumps all over. Everyone was crying and it sounds dumb but it was like an epiphany for me too. I've heard I should love myself a million times but hearing it live, singing it with Jin and ARMY, I internalized it for the first time. And Jin is the nation's power balladeer for sure and he sounds just as good live. I love all of our vocalists but I FEEL Jin's voice in my bones. He's my favorite vocalist because of the emotion so clear in it.
I know exactly what you mean. I really began to internalize this message through Jin and Epiphany. I just….. I am not perfect at it yet, but I am learning to love myself now, you know? :)
@@emilyg6799 he is now loving himself infact all BTS members are now loving themselves. Jin is my fav vocalist, The Grammy Silver Voice with biggest range in kpop
You love Epiphany then you must must see the live. It will bring you to your knees. The end, is about the BTS Universe. Another rabbit hole to go down if interested.
This!!! Somehow this song made the theory, the empty words, real for me. I can FEEL the concept of loving myself.
This comment sums up how I feel about Jin as well.
a "comeback trailer" is basically the song that embodies the overall theme the album is going to carry. They release the trailers before the album is officially released, and it gives fans time to theorize the direction of what the album is going to sound like. Singularity was the trailer for Tear, and Serendipity was the trailer for Her. Those songs give the overall theme for each album.
Comeback trailer videos also don't have the full song in them which is why I prefer that people don’t exclusively use them to check out the song… But otherwise yeah, what says above.
@@emma-kati yeah like they drop the Serendipity on 2017,but extended version come with the album
I just wanted to bring up how genius and superior the the LY: Answer tracklist is. BTS use traditional asian storytelling format for this series i.e. 起 (beginning), 承 (development), 轉 (twist), and 結 (conclusion). They specifically placed all the songs in the tracklist, following each theme to a tee and use the trivias as a transitional song for each emotion and stage the person goes through in order to love themselves. I'm gonna try my best to break the whole thing down.
*note: this list only uses the tracks in the first cd!
起 (beginning) : Wonder/Her - A person starting to fall in love with another
This section includes the following songs
1. Euphoria
2. Trivia 起: Just Dance
3. Serendipity
4. DNA
5. Dimple
承 (development) - The person deciding to dedicate and to only love another person, not themselves
This section includes the following songs
6. Trivia 承: Love
7. Outro: Her
轉 (twist) : Tear - The person starts to hide their true self with a mask in order to look perfect in front of the person they love and then comes to realize that the love they shared was not what it turned out to be. It was fake love. So the person finally leaves the relationship to love themselves instead.
This section includes the following songs
8. Singularity
9. Fake Love
10. The Truth Untold
11. Trivia 轉: Seesaw
12. Outro: Tear
結 (conclusion) : Answer - The person realizes that they should love themselves first before loving others hence the conclusion to the series and theme of the love yourself albums.
This section includes the following songs
13. Epiphany
14. I'm Fine
15. Idol
16. Answer: Love Myself
Seriously BTS went off on this album LOL and a bonus thing I wanted to add is that when you were speaking about this line at 1:17:34 it reminded me of a quote from RM "These faults and mistakes are what I am, making up the brightest stars in the constellation of my life" and it really stuck with me till this day. Sorry this comment is supeerrr long I'm seriously in love with your channel and your thought provoking discussions and ideas. Thanks again for reacting and I'm looking forward to the rest of your BTS Journey! ((:
Edit!! Thank you all for the kind replies I received. It really made my day ( ; - ; ) I'm so happy to be part of ARMY 💜
wow. thank you for this!!!!!
so well said
Woah super cool to see it put like this thanks! I love listening to this album from start to finish.
This comment is long and perfect, thank you very much for this
thank u sm
Bro IDOL live is insane. It’s like a party with the choreography and all the fans screaming ‘you can’t stop me loving myself’
Idol: they wanted a festival feeling. Celebration. This song was made to be performed. If you watch their performances and their concert this song is the absolute best. It is one of my favorite concert songs. They have various versions from EDM and rock. The whole stadium literally vibrates as everyone dances and sings. I’m not kidding. Literally their stage and even stadium shakes. It’s amazing
Jin said this is one of his favorite songs to perform. He said when he looks at the crowd we aren’t even looking at them sometimes but we are just dancing and enjoying it with them and he loves that.
So true! I didn’t initially love it much either but you can’t deny it’s a hype song. Literally would be so fun at a concert. It’s definitely grown on me
one of my fave song!
it would be so convenient if u listened to mono RM’s mixtape after this, it’s just like another conversation to have with yourself after going through these albums, love your reactions and your thoughts on the albums can’t wait for more!!
It is a wrecker, though. 10 out of 10 for catharsis.
no matter how many times i've listened to epiphany, i swear the song will always give me chills :') it's so beautiful in every way
and the videos from live performances where you hear everyone sing along to such a powerful song... it always brings me to tears ☹
It’s a whole experience! Every time I hear it/watch the MV it changes my mood!
@@marigam both mv and live are gold
When I first watched the live performance (on UA-cam sadly, not irl 🥲), I totally cried. Jin’s vocals are so powerful and that note change at the end was incredible.
i love how u admired rm's lyrics, especially the "jklmnopqrst" part!
so i wanted to add that when he rapped it, he said "pqrst" way faster than the rest of the letters and that's bc during ecg "pqrst" represent a single heartbeat
so he's basically saying that he crossed all of these letters in a single heartbeat
He’s a genius and this is not because I love him, he just is. Joon deserves much more recognition on his artistry, he’s incredibly talented, intelligent and sensitive. 💜💜💜
@@MBella123 YES!!! he's one of the best lyricst of our generation

Did you know RM talks about the songs he writes in his VLives? Would love to watch your reactions to those🙏☺️
j-hope is a performer first. Like he's a brilliant, skilled rapper, a clever lyricist, a professional dancer, a great singer...but he lives and breathes for the stage and he meticulously crafts his solos and his verses for the stage and the audience experience. Just Dance was the show stealer at the Love Yourself and Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tours. And it's ARMY legend that everyone leaves a BTS concert j-hope biased. I'm a living testament. haha. Seeing j-hope live is what made me a j-hope bias (after 8 months firmly in Jimin's camp). Anyway, if you look at his music through that lens, the craft of it is brilliant.
Yeah he is my bias and I love his solo songs but they wouldn’t usually be my style. They are clearly for performance and to make you dance. But I really love his rap style and dancing so he even stands out in group songs for me with just his verses. Just love his unique voice, flow, and adlibs
the comeback trailer is not the full song for epiphany btw!! the album song has a whole extra verse
also im fine is a reversal of their 2016 song save me!! the lines in both songs mirror each other it is really cool to compare the two
love your btw reactions!! cant wait to see ynwa
In Euphoria, "a priori" is actually a term used in philosophy to describe something you have knowledge of only in theory (as opposed to a posteriori which is knowledge you've gained through experience). If that helps with the lyrics. :) Also as a note on that song, it seems euphoric and can be taken that way at face value. But my sister is a social worker and when she read it she went to a more sinister place because of certain euphemisms common when one talks about sui*ide. Not just the tranlations--k-ARMYs got the references too (like the rainbow bridge). And in the context of BTS' fictional storyline, both Jungkook's and the other member of his pairing (Suga's) characters commit sui*ide. The MV picks up on some of the more sinister tones and even in the choreo you see Jungkook lean over a "ledge" and hands holding him back. Anyway, not to take away any of it's face-value message--it really does induce a feeling a euphoria and can totally be read in a vacuum to be happy. That was probably the intention knowing BTS who often write their songs so that they take on different meanings depending on the context in which you consume them. (Surface level v. thematic with regard to the album v. narrative with regard to the Bangtan Fictional Universe).
I thought it was priority lacking ty in the end😅
Thanks
This has officially damaged me 😭 but I'm not complaining
omg flashback to the theories I've read on the tl when this was released. and yes a lot of them were about sewerside
This is not the first time I read or hear about this possible meaning of Euphoria. It is indeed possible that it has that meaning.
Hey, just so you don't get the wrong tattoo, the line says "even the SCARS that were formed from my own mistakes are my very own constellations". Scars not stars! 😅 I love your reaction btw! You're probably my favourite reactor on this app and I'm always happy to hear your thoughts on these songs!
Maybe he thought it's a star bcs constellation is formed by stars 😅
But I personally think this line is more fit & beautiful "even my scars make up the brightest stars in the constellation of my life"
Just like what RM said at the UN,
"Maybe I made a mistake yesterday, but yesterday's me is still me. I am who I am today, with my faults. Tomorrow I might be a tiny bit wiser, and that's me, too. These faults and mistakes are what I am, making up the brightest stars in the constellation of my life. I have come to love myself for who I was, for who I am, and for who I hope to become."
Time line for you 💜

You'll be happy to know there's a full version of Epiphany with another verse! The comeback trailer is a shortened version. I absolutely love the message of this song, it has a special place in my heart. His live performances of it are so magical.
Also jin has sooooo many high High notes . Some of the most popular would be crystal snow (maybe the best even) , come back home , Fake love , Dionysus (Epic) , don't leave me , let go , moon , Love myself and so on. He's basically the ballads king in bts

@@MichaelBeveraggi yes please!!! 😊😊😊
idol was partly a response to people saying they were becoming too americanized during that era. they used traditional korean instruments and sounds in the song and even wore traditional clothing called hanbok in the music video. it’s their way to say you can say what you want about me but i know that i’ve stayed true to who i am and i’ve never changed and i never will.
Hey! Don't know if anyone's told you but here's what's said at the end of Epiphany's video: "To come to the end of the process of finding one's self means to return to the starting point. What must be discovered in the end is the beginning of everything, the milestone, the map of the soul. Although a part of everyone it is not discovered by anyone - I will try to find it, starting now."
The very end shot is a reference to BTS's ongoing storyline that's gone, officially, throughout their videos from I Need U (though not every video since then falls into this story universe), and unofficially from even as early as Danger.
fyi RM usually live streams after every album release and takes us through the album. He give us some behind the scenes, context, demo snippets, info on the poduction/writing process, his own interpretation of each song.
You can watch them for free on VLIVE or UA-cam with English subs.
Suga did the same for his mixtapes.
Before watching this I just wanted to say thank you for giving them a chance when you first listened to them, I've been watching your channel a for a long time being a swiftie and I love how you interpret and feel the music 💜
Also "I'm Fine" is a song that helped me a lot in my life and a song I cherish with all my heart so I can't wait to see what you think of it 😊
Ps: that HP mug is amazing
If you thought that Epiphany note was gorgeous, do find a video of Jin singing Epiphany live in concert (lots of vids around but I personally prefer his performances during the Speak Yourself tour)
I also fell in love instantly with Epiphany as far as I remember.....Jin made me feel like crying with this. The live performances are also so good..I hope you'll watch those even if just for the high notes .

seeing people appreciate namjoon's lyrics will always be my hapiness. he puts so much thought into his words . he earned the name in korea of "THE PHILOSOPHER WHO RAPS"
if you haven't already--Trivia: Love unpacks so much more. Doolset lyrics will help explain the other things too---like sitting or squashing the letter to turn it into love. RM's mind and genius are crazy, LOL thank you for going thru the series; LY: Tear is the album that brought me to BTS---and then the rabbit hole LOL
Even before starting the video I just want to say how happy it makes me that it is almost 2 hours long. I’ll be back in the comment section!
Jimin and V had solos with Serendipity and Singularity that are put back into this album if you listen to it on spotify!
You get the full story from the happy start of the relationship with euphoria, Trivia:Just dance, Serendipity and Trivia:Love, then Singularity when the love turns bad and toxic because you erase yourself (with Fake Love and Truth Untold) and Trivia:Seesaw when it finally breaks... And then Epiphany, when you realise the answer is to Love Yourself 😊
It's a long album that's kind of like a compilation of the whole series but with many new songs 💜
I’ve actually gotten quite emotional watching you react to this album. This trilogy. Their sheer existence. It makes me emotional. I’ve always been a music lover but discovered BTS in 2017. I just don’t know how to put it into words but they’re so much more than just great artists. They’re more than great humans. With my whole being, I truly believe that these seven guys are are as close to angels on earth as we will ever see.
This made me cry because it’s true. 🥲
the "live and love" that you hear as layered vocals in trivia: love are partly rm and partly june’s vocals !! june is a former bighit trainee that’s now signed with planetarium records as a part of the group PLT (in the final chorus you also hear him hit that high note and vocal run)
Wait, wasn't it June?
@@Nast1a joon has the lower end vocals, but the falsettos and higher harmonies in the background are june !!
@yolandavizitiu Hey, so I actually looked it up again, since I haven't listened or been into BTS in a while and it is actually June from PLT. He was in BigHit back then and he is doing the backup falsettos und runs. His voice sounds similar to Jk's but when you listen closely enough you might distinguish it. June is also credited so this gives it kinda away

You should hear the entire Citifield stadium sing along with Jin, yelling I'M THE ONE I SHOULD LOVE, being heard all around the city
btw, you probably would like to know that Jin's song isn't complete on the MV! There is a bigger version on Spotify that i recommend a lot, his voice really is beautiful, thank you for your reaction!! 💜
At 1:18:10 that line " even the scars that were formed from my mistakes are my very own constellations" makes me think about how when we look at the stars we see a map of constellations across the sky, a map that can be used to guide a traveler on a journey and that map of stars is what makes the sky beautiful, like our souls. So our mistakes leave scars, like stars, and build constellations that reveal the map of our souls that shows us the way through the maze of loving ourselves. This is a wonderful way to lead to the next album, Map of the Soul: Persona.
you should definitely check out a live epiphany performance on tour- the feeling of thousands of people singing “i’m the one i should love in this world” is so powerful!
Okay Army, he asked about the Ford commercial at the end of "Epiphany"... I think he might be ready for the BU (BTS Universe/Bangtan Universe). Basically, BTS has used multiple albums, multiple music videos, webtoons, notes, diaries and short films over the past several years to create ONE cohesive storyline (that's actually still continuing). It's a deeeeeeeep dive and one of the most mind blowing journeys you'll ever go on should you accept the challenge.
Epiphany live performance is gold. Jin’s belting is gold. Please react to that. You’ll like
in seesaw the ad libs, runs and backing vocals are actually performed by adora, former bts producer, shes absolutely amazing and super talented!! again thank u sm for this reaction, i love how u really care about analyzing and interpret the lyrics, have a great day! :D
I think this is my favorite album. The solo songs on this are phenomenal and I just always find myself coming back to it and listening to it all the way through. Plus it’s kind of a mix of the other love yourself albums so you get a little bit of everything.
Epiphany has a long version, very Beautiful lyrics 💜
they played mikrokosmos as their ending song for their love yourself: speak yourself tour and I bawled like a BABY.
Yeah epiphany is THAT song....can you imagine thousands and thousands of ppl singing this song?? Crazy. Also def check out their mixtapes...esp Suga's, i think you'd like them. :)
The way that namjoon plays with the words in korean is just SO CLEVER of him. If you want to understand all abt the lyrics i suggest you to search about it bc there are so many refferences to the hangul (the korean alfabet). When he said "you invade all my corners" he did an amazing interpretation of 2 letters of the alfabet. INCREDIBLE!! amazing reaction, love to watch your bts reactions :))
Love Yourself came out when i was still so unsure about myself and had a lot of self doubt… BTS and this Series helped me heal through a difficult time. Im still far from Loving Myself but this trilogy was the first step in that direction! 😊
I have been waiting to see Michael get hit in the feels with Epiphany and I was not disappointed. Jin's vocals and emotion in this song went right to my soul the first time I heard. It's why he will always be my favorite vocalist in BTS, the chills he gives me every time he sings cannot be matched.
Epiphany has a full version with a second verse :) For sure listen to the whole LY Answer album all the way through. Every track is very strategically placed with a beginning, middle, turn, and ending of the entire narrative. It was very fun to join you on this journey
I feel like the love myself series becomes even more meaningful when you know what bts as people were going through while writing this series so please allow me to go through a (hopefully) quick bts history lesson here.
BTS started in a really small company and at the time they were mostly a hip-hop group, lead very heavily by RM and Suga´s worldview and experience in the hip-hop scene. Their debut itself was both a victory (because things were so dire financially that there was a chance they wouldn't even get that chance) and in a way, a break with their past selves because to the hip-hop community, them debuting as idols was pretty much "selling out". They were called out for this repeatedly and that's one of the reasons the song IDOL is so powerful for those who know bts´ history. Because for a long time the whole artist vs idol thing was something they struggled with a lot (mostly rm and suga and their first mixtapes talk A LOT about this) and in IDOL they finally embrace both sides.
Then after the extremely rough start bts slowly climb through the industry, even though A LOT of people tried to bring them down, even as far actually suing them in court, not to mention the several smear campaigns they had to go through while coming up, but then in 2016 they finally win their first daesang (grand prize) at a korean award show and you can feel like they are so proud of this achievement but there's also a real fear that, that´s as high as they can go as a kpop group.
Then 2017 comes (the year love yourself: her comes out) and they start not only a whole new series but also a whole new chapter of their careers, this time targeting the US and in that really the world as a whole. For me love yourself: her represents the beginning of that journey, all the dreams they had, the exciting beginning, although you can already feel some tension and fear as well. In 2017 they had their first song on the billboard top 100 with DNA and performed for the first time at an american award show the AMAs. Suga has often talked about how after that performance he went to shower and just cried, cried and cried, because he was so afraid of that came next and he felt like he wasn't prepared to deal with it.
And here you have to understand that what bts was doing, even in 2017 when they didn't have a sliver of the fame they have now, was already completely unprecedented for korean musicians and it was also very lonely because no one they knew had gone through that journey. Like suddenly they were going so much further than where any kpop artist had gone before but they also didn't feel like they had a place in the western industry as well.
Then 2018 came, the year they wrote tear and also the year they considered disbanding, exactly because of all that pressure they were feeling and how it was affecting them in different ways. So, in that album you can really feel all the pain and sort of confusion they were going through. It was supposed to be an amazing moment because they had tons of success but internally things were rocky.
And then thankfully they managed to pull themselves together and overcome that, decide once again that they really wanted to DO THIS and that's where love myself answer comes from. The single of that album was IDOL and I feel like that's significant to not only the whole artist/idol thing I mention before but also if you watch the music video and the performances, there is a lot of traditional korean culture in that song so it was also kind of a f*ck to you the people who, once again said they sold out, only this time to the western market. So that song is like, yes, we are artists, yes we are idols, yes we are korean but also we are part of the world and we are proud of all of it.
Bts members have also talked a lot about how the love yourself series and the love yourself tour was a way for them to explore those themes in their personal lives and figure out how they could really love themselves more. I also mention the tour here because this was their most toured series and for fans who lived through those tours it's very hard to separate the albums from the tours, since some songs really came even more alive when sung live and with a huge crowd.
I´m so sorry for this essay but listening to your reaction brought a lot of memories back from the time these albums were released and I thought you might want to hear them. Thanks for taking me on that journey as well.
I'm also really curious to see you explore some of their earlier albums because sonically they are very different. And I would love to see you go through rap line's mixtapes as well (we have 5: RM, Agust D, Hope World, mono. and D-2) because in some ways the mixtape's songs are even more personal and I think you would LOVE the lyrics for those.
Thank you for this comment, I really enjoyed reading it💖💖💫💫

Well said you💜
I enjoy your breakdowns and insights so much. You offered perspectives of the songs I haven’t realized on my own. Suga said that all their eps and albums the songs should be listened to in order because there is a story arc that is impossible to know from listening them piece meal. It’s not that the music isn’t still wonderful but so much is lost doing it that way. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your Bangtan journey as it progresses.
FYI, Mikrocosmos is a love song about BTS’s & ARMY’s love for each other. The stars are what ARMY when we see BTS on stage & what they see when they look at all the ARMY bombs in the stadium when they perform. There are, of course, other perspectives, but that’s the most obvious one for ARMY.
Fun fact: the live performance of Epiphany is life changing
Love your album breakdowns from Adele to bts to lorde..
An interesting fact about Jin is that he was a theatre major in college nd critics have claimed that he treats his songs just like a monologue painting a perfect picture along with breaking your heart in each of his verse..
He is acclaimed as being Silver Voiced by the Grammy panel..
The song was not complete in the video I would def recommend checking the whole song out cuz the missing verse is Beautiful .
You should def check their live performances out cuz what they bring to stage is different from the studio versions n so beautiful
1:19:10 I really love that lyrics too 🥺 RM said it when BTS came to UN for the first time and I remember I cried so hard for 2 days hearing RM's speech
I have it on my purple hardcase for my phone 💜
"Yesterday's me, today's me, tomorrow's me
Without exception, they all are me
Even my scars make up the brightest stars in the constellation of my life"
Just wanted to add smt I absolutely adore abt *Trivia: Love:*
My favorite line in this track is *"Though I and U are still very distant, F☆☆☆ JKLMNOPQRST, I crossed over every letter and reached you"*
Everything abt it is so excellent.
There're so many unspoken layers you can find in this. Like the *PQRST* ecg heartbeat reference adds unspoken context that *I* crossed all these letters and reached *U* in a heartbeat even though *I* and *U* are so distant.
And add that with the "you make *I* to an *O"* and "live to a love" lines, and how he pauses at the *O* before *PQRST* heartbeat reference.
So, you can read this like, "as *I* crossed over all these letters and reached *U,* *U* makes *I* to an *O,* which makes _live_ to a _love,_ so when a person *(I)* lives by love, the heart beats bc of *U."*
Agh, it's just brilliant poetry~ 🥺🥰💜
And not in his native language - brilliant 💜
40:55 Seesaw back vocal is Adora, she is a one of Big Hit producer, and also we can see Jimin's back vocal in Suga's Seesaw Live Performance. and I really enjoy FULL album review, hearing your opinion.
53:00 Jin Epiphany ending : " 나 자신을 찾는 여정의 끝에 다다른 건 다시 제자리, 결국 찾아야 하는 것은 모든 것의 시작이자 이정표인 영혼의 지도, 누구에게나 있지만 아무나 찾을 수 없는 그것을, 나는 지금부터 찾아보려 한다." " At the end of my journey to find myself, I'm back in place.
In the end, what you have to find is a map of the soul, which is the beginning and milestone of everything.
Everyone has it, but not everyone can find it.
I'm going to look for it from now on."
앨범 리뷰 해주셔 매우 감사드립니다. 너무도 즐거운 시간이였습니다. 오늘도 행복하세요.
what about speak yourself? it's an album for japanese audiences (and most of the songs are japanese versions of existing ones) but the ones that were made specifically for speak yourself ESPECIALLY DON'T LEAVE ME are OUTSTANDING.
thank you for the reaction! i am currently going through hard times and i got to experience this amazing album all over again thanks to you. it was quite a journey.
Live epiphany is everything man.
You would become whole another person after experiencing epiphany live.
The live version of epiphany, hearing all of army sing with him basically makes me cry everytime ;(
The background vocals on 'Trivia: Seesaw' is actually one of their producers (now soloist) ADORA
Something I absolutely love about I'm Fine is, where its mirror (Save Me) is an (almost overly) emotional, dependent, desperate love song, I'm Fine, while a breakup song, isn't angry. It's not bitter, it's not cursing the last relationship or saying 'fuck you, Im better off without you', but rather, "Don't worry about me - I'll be okay, and I hope you will be too". The care from the relationship is still there. Like you mentioned - Seesaw and Epiphany talk about just realizing when a relationship isn't right anymore, and how you have to live for yourself first and foremost. That doesn't mean you stop caring about the person altogether. I'm Fine acknowledges that they are over, while, at the same time, acknowledging that for the time they were together, they helped each other grow, and while things are hard they still wish each other well. It's such a beautiful and mature song.
Trivia: Love makes my heart so warm! And the wordplays by RM are everything! It gives off some kind of warm energy watching his live performance of it with stadium full of people singing.
Bts always has songs that are just meant for live performances and idol is one of them. A lot of people weren't sure when they first heard it but knowing the meaning of it and seeing them perform it live really is amazing
You can't imagine, how much this album helped me to grow, there's a phrase that say that "you find BTS when you need them the most" and i really think that's true.
This album was a revelation to me and gives me the answer to some of my problems.
You have to see Jin singing Epiphany live, it's just so beautiful and magical... Well, a love yourself concert for the complete experience 🤭
' I have an headache ' same Michael same. Wait till you find out that in trivia:love, the gap between before pqrst is because pqrst represents the wavelength of a heartbeat🥲
oh my i cried again! Jin’s epiphany hits really hard. I’ve never been to their concert but it gaves me goosebump, when i watched Jin and army’s sang that song in a huge arena. i am truly happy that you love this song, hundreads or maybe thousand of armys relate to this song. and you are right! there is nobody else can sing this song except Jin! our silver voice, full of emotion and sincerity. you should watch the live perf of this song. 💜💜💜
I read SO many comments and I don’t think I can add anything new but , I thoroughly enjoyed listening to your Album reviews With You!
BORAHAE MB!
and for my 150th comment... the song i'm fine is connected to the song save me from their album "the most beautiful moment in life: young forever". i'm fine is a sort of answer to save me, its melody and beat are the literal reverse of the melody and beat of save me and the lyrics reference each other, but in reverse too. (there is a cool image of how the lyrics of i'm fine are like an ambigram response of the ones in save me). also, bts have written the phrase "save me" in a specific font - the visual of which appears in the fake love music video - so that, when you turn it upside down, the "save me" looks like it says "i'm fine".
I love seesaw for many reasons. One being, it proves how everything doesn't necessarily have to be black and white. There's ALWAYS a grey area and this song is kinda like the 'Villian's POV' because in real life, we realize that a person isn't 100% evil as movies, songs etc. make them out to be...that's more or less what I feel when I listen to this song
"im fine" is actually a spinoff of their song "save me" which is from their hyyh young forever album. when they were doing promotions for the answer album/idol, they actually performed save me + im fine. if you listen to both of the songs, you'll notice that it sounds similar to each other. they used save me as a reference to i'm fine from it's sound, lyrics and message.
Talk about Jims ballad vocals. That young man makes you FEEL what he is singing, just stunning. He recently did a solo for a KDrama (movie) and it is incredible. The mv where they use scenes from the movie just pulls at your heart. It's beautiful.
Epiphany the full version is even better. It's so SO good. Many even call it army's anthem beside magic shop
Friendly reminder that epiphany was our first glimpse of this album and we were SHOOKETH
Adora sings the amazing background vocals in Trivia: Seesaw!! She was a producer at BigHit!!
I think you would LOVE Namjoon’s deep dives about their albums. He goes through every song in the albums and gives us background information. On how they made to what they mean and anecdotes. I really think you would love that as well. The does those in vlive. I am not sure if that’s something you can react to in yt but I’m sure you can do that for patreon
I'm from KSA🇸🇦I enjoyed watching all your viedos about BTS albums; You're a good listener and also u give your opinion about the lyrics of the song, so your opinion was realistic and fun, not boring or trying to be a compliment. It was real. Keep do it 🤍 Wish all the best 🤍
just wanted to let you know adora (a producer in their company) does background vocals for the rapline often (not all the time though). the other vocal line members record vocal guide however if the rapline asks them
You really should react to the explanation of Trivia : Love .. you'd be EVEN MOREEEEEE blown up ...
The storyline of the songs.... How Save Me and I'm Fine has the totally opposite lyrics ...
This album made me an Army💜 and I was literally blown up with their lyricism and storyline
You are by far one of my favourite reactors. It's so clear that you have ton of love for music. You appreciate all artists, their music, lyricism and fans. Its hard to find a person that actually does reactions out of pure love for music rather than personal gain. I've been following you since you started your Little mix journey and watched your reactions to NF and now BTS. Those are some of my favourite artists that really impacted my life. I wish you would soon discover some new amazing talents as well. Not sure if you will notice this comment but i highly recommend Pentatonix (acapella group with mind-blowing arrangements - they won 3 grammys so that says a lot about their talent), Dimash Kudaibergen (possibly the best singer in the entire universe, his talent is just out of this world that people often say he is an alien - crazy range, singing styles, technique...)
I just watched 2 BTS album reactions tonight, just let it run on my tv while I did some reading. I really enjoyed your calm reaction and thoughts. I love their music too, thanks for your hard work.
Epiphany and Idol are both that need to be seen live. Idol for its performance (the choreo is one of their hardest) and if you thought Epiphany track was so good, you need to witness it live 😭
Listen to You never walk alone album next! You won't regret it
You should check out the MV for Idol, you might enjoy the song a lot better then! (And an explained video for the MV cause it’s kind of intense). I loooove Epiphany!! Epiphany live is super powerful as well (btw, you didn’t get the full version by watching the comeback trailer). What’s so cool about the song is that he changes the lyrics from “I’m the one I should love” to “I want to love”. To me, THAT is the epiphany. It’s easy to love others, but how can you truly love others when you don’t even know how to love yourself. Jin sings about wanting to love in this world, wanting to experience and spread love to others. And the only way to properly do that, to properly accept and love others despite all of their faults, is to learn how to accept and love yourself with all of your faults. Truly beautiful
epiphany live will blow you away it is so good omg
One of my favorite BTS albums (among all of them lmao)!!!! I really enjoyed listening to this album alongside you and getting to listen to your thoughts!!!! Your love of music really shines through in this video, and it's been a really amazing opportunity to get to love this album on a deeper level with you!
i love the way your mind works. it always opens my mind to find different meanings in their songs
Everyone has his own solo:
RM- love
Jin- epiphany
Suga- seesaw
Jhope- just dance
Jimin- serendipity
V- singularity
JK- euphoria
43:02 Just one thing to add to Trivia: Seesaw, when Suga talked about the parallels, often times if one person in down on the ground the other person is too high to get off, and if the person the is down get off when the person is high up the other end will go crashing to the ground thus maker the person who got off first "the bad guy" as suge put it in the second verse, so the one time when the seesaw remains parallel to the ground is when both parties stand up and is ready to get off. The seesaw is a metaphore for the unhealthy relationship to begin with. One person was in an unhealth high and the other an unhealthy low, but because it felt like love they where unwilling to get off, but the one time they are on even ground is when the both decide to get off.
So with Suga being on the seesaw before the other got on, this means that he was in an unhealthy low, ( maybe because of the lack of self love) and the other gave him a high so it because a competition for who was "heavier" At the end of the song suga after being left alone on the seesaw once again decided to finally get up.
Trivia love feels so underrated I love more people listening to and appreciating it!!!
Epiphany live is life changing also your reaction to trivia:love was amazing bahaha I could definitely relate anyway thank u sm for your effort with these videos!! 🥺 (I can’t wait until you get to wings I’m so curious about your reaction to it haha)
Omg you love raw and vulnerable songs man wings and You never walk alone is really gonna make you weep dude I swear
yes jungkook sounds like a dream, his voice is so angelic and beautiful.
I love how the Trivia songs tell the story of a relationship!
Trivia: just dance - is the initial attraction
Trivia: Love - is falling in love
Trivia: Seesaw - is deciding that the love isn’t worth it
Idol, mikrocosmos, love myself are songs you should definitely see a live performance of :)💜
