Marvel Super Heroes - Spider-Man Playthrough

- It's hard to say if this was to be expected or not, but I will say that it's about time I did something like this. Consider this an impromtu video.
With that said, I've been looking for an arcade emulator to work with so that I can finally play some arcade games, especially games that I've never had much of a chance to play for whatever reason. To get the search rolling, I'm testing a well-known emulator, MAME. I found this to be a bit complex. Then again, considering that this is a first-time scenario, it's a start.
As for the test game, I wanted to get back into this game again for some time. I'm doing just a basic Marvel Super Heroes playthrough as everyone's favorite "Wall Crawler," Spider-Man. The character pick was on a whim just to test the system. Also, since this is mostly a test, the difficulty is default as I don't know how to adjust arcade difficulty as of yet; not to mention that I may switch emulators if there's something better out there. This means don't be surprised if my opponents aren't as tough as they should be (take note near the end). Please don't ask about why I didn't use any of the Infinity Gems. I really don't care about using them, to be honest.
I may revisit this game again when I get more accustomed to its MAME's settings assuming if this becomes a more permanent emulator. I'm taking suggestions for others. Finally, for the record, this was recorded via Fraps as I'm unsure of the recording capabilities of MAME if any.
With all this said, try to enjoy for what this is: a test.

It's surprising how well this game has aged. Even without the help of Marvel vs Capcom Origins, it's still fairly addictive. The roster, the visuals, the soundtrack, everything's going for it.
Yeahn but the ending credits were a hit skimpy. Compare that to X-Men: COTA.

Spidey's ending to me is the best and the most memorable and emotional. Man, the good ol' days of Marvel where they actually cared about their characters' development and progression.
Yeah, Spidey´s ending gave so much feels. It made me hate OMD and modern Marvel even more.

Took me a while to notice thanos is that guy i remember fighting in marvel super heroes and its mind blowing to me.

did yall also notice the names for each color of the gems are diferent than the ones in the movie. for example soul gem is green on here and in the movie its orange.
adrenalinex4 yea notice that a few years ago, and was disappointed at the time they change the colors in the films but later like it.
This game brings back memories of playing this at the local bowling alley arcade.
Everything about the Psylocke Stage is beautiful and awesome, especially her.

In a lot of alternative stories spidey have a family. And remember, The Marvel Vs Capcom games saga begins with this game, And in the canon, It's the sort of the great list of earths in the marvel comics, Well, In collab with Capcom.

Spiderman was my favorite. Great high flying, range and close up attack. Plus he had 3 finishing moves. Good game, old memories.

Oh I loved this game. Spend hours at the arcade perfecting my skill. This game introduced me to the infinity gems.
Despite all the trolls I see around here, I will point out you got really lucky on that Juggernaut fight at the end, there. Anyway, enjoy the game. This was easily one of my favorites growing up. I couldn't tell you how many quarters my friends and I used to dump into this thing when it first came out.

My long dead local arcade used to have this machine in 1995. I played it quite a bit and enjoyed it. The game played smoother than X-Men COTA, which I liked also.
I also had this for my Sega Saturn at the time and it was pretty cool. I forget that the Sega Saturn was a 2D powerhouse and 2D games really thrived on that system.

In the last time a heard a lot of people say "we want Marvel fighting game like injustice" well before Injustice, Marvel Super Heroes exist and in 90s DC fans sayed "we want a DC fighting game like Marvel Super Heroes"... the times changes.

This game is still amazing. I think Spidey was too op in old MvsC games. That was a gift for those years when heroes were becoming more popular.

Hm. I couldn't care less about doing slightly more advanced combos even if I had the ability to. All I wanted to do is play a game that I hadn't did in a long while since then simply for fun, and that's all there is to it. While I apologize for coming off as rude, that being said, if it's that kind of gameplay that you want, then you should look for better playthroughs than this one.

Still a good classic fighting game and nice gameplay with Spiderman,one of my favorite marvel characters.
One thing all always resent the MCU for, is the fact that they call the infinity "Stones"!!! And Not GEMS.......what a pityful maneuver from Feige.

DId you know you can still combo after a maximum spider if you're close enough to the opponent when they touch the ground? You can score at least an extra 3 hits or send a high punch slow motion web ball to trap and re combo.

Huh, it's actually possible to beat the game with Spiderman? 🤔 And here I thought it'd be impossible to cause damage to another character, much less beat them all in a row given how trashed he is on the "tier list".
Back in 1995, competitive play in the arcade was a new thing so all the gaming mags really harped on us how we were losers if we picked Spiderman or Blackheart. Was always kind of funny to me 😆

My childhood
This game came out way before MVC1. You still have X-Men vs. Street Fighter and MSH vs. Street Fighter that came out after prior to the first MVC.
