hey, nice video on algae growth! i do have a question though. i am trying to grow green carpet algae in my ranchu tank and i'm leaving the lights on 8hrs a day, sometimes more. i do however perform partial water changes every other day (without scraping the glass other than the front of the glass), will that affect or stops the algae from growing? 'that' being the frequent water changes.

I did that on my tank, i even let hair algae thrive in one of my tank and it looks cool
