- Family, friends and colleagues gathered Tuesday in Mount Vernon for a final farewell for our beloved Elise Finch. She passed away nine days ago and was laid to rest in Westchester County. CBS New York's Tony Aiello shares the celebration of Elise's life.

I never watch the news as much I’d occasionally see her on there in the morning or at night very sad she passed suddenly

Even now I can’t believe she is gone I look for her any time I don’t see her on TV reading the weather and now she’s not there anymore I wish you were still there it is so sad sad sad the LORD giveth and the Lord taketh blessed be the name of the Lord may the Lord comfort the family and give them strength her little daughter God bless her God will be her every want I used to watch her reading the weather and I used to say that she must have to be a child of God now I know what she is resting in God bosom

I loved her like I knew her like a big sister I could relate to that looked like me. When I relocated from NYC to TX I wrote a response to her video on CBS facebook page and she took the time to respond to me. What an amazing woman & role model to so many. SIP my prayers and condolences to her entire family friends and my CBS NY family ❤

I love Elise she was a great inspiration for me.She was my favorite meteorologist I attended her funeral it was a beautiful home going service.I am a native New Yorker but I reside in Stamford Connecticut but I made sure I pay my respects to her and my condolences too her family.
