- In this mechabellum gameplay video RAT is trying the nerfed typhoon overlord composition. Enemy actually decides to commit into mass assault marksman. Are overlords so bad that they lose the fight?
RAT SHOP: shop.mechamona...
Thumbnail game is top tier.
Had a spooky game against assmen today, but the unit drops saved my ass from the men.
I do wish there were more techs that completely change a unit, they are very fun.
Been experimenting with Assault MM, range, elite and EMP is my fav combo so far. EMP shotguns are hilarious
1:44 rat bark got me 😂
Hahaha
Assault marsksmen can ALWAYS do it. They might not win the game, but they win our hearts.
Dude probably thought you were cheating the way you dodged two spells in a row with that mobile beacon lol that worked out very well
Love the thumbnails dude
I've actually never tried assault marks, looks interesting.
Never tryed them with the combination of speed shoot and range. Looks like they do everything for you^^

Yeah thats the tech combo that makes them pop off.
@@Tyrgalon The only problem is that I don´t know what ablity I should take out to take the assault in. EMP, range, anti air are to important. May be elite... And than still I should take in the fast fire.

You can make a separate loadout for Assmen, I personally have:
Range
Assult mode
Quick reload
Elite mark
That is also the order I would get the techs in generally.
I wait until I have a decent amount of marks with range and place them along tower line, make the opponent think you are low on chaff clear (can even be worth loosing a round to make them overcommit) and then activate assmode and watch the opponent panic on what to do.
Many place assmarks too close to the front and get them too soon, making it easy for their opponent to EMP them or counter them with something else.
What keeps you from upgrading your pc or may be recording with a sec pc? ;-)
laziness to install everything again. But maybe i need to take one for the team
@@SurreyEZIt's all so easy f you download the important software and programs on a good flashdrive beforehand!
@@SurreyEZ pls
Why do you tend to prioritize one round range/speed ups versus upgrading ranks for units?
Love the thumbnail
I think anti missile items would have been much better play than war factory for him
Elite level thumbnails as always ❤
I think the lack of cannon tech for boat was very noticeable this game
not good anymore
@@SurreyEZ what do you think about the recent damage increase, does that make it more viable again?
@@gilescorey4477 no, but havent really tried to force them yet so not 100% sure
maybe i am a fool but at 1600 MMR i've yet to encounter an enemy that pulls off assault marksman successfully. very much like artillery scorpions it's a bait tech because it changes the core of the unit so much that people become unable to handle it, at low or medium low MMR at least, people seem to be constantly outplaying themselves with these techs.
it's good on defense very often or with some cards but the full commits seldom work
Yeah at least around my MMR of ~1100, people don't expect the Assault Marksmen. They just see the Marksman spam, slams down a bunch of crawlers, and get surprise when it doesn't work and now they don't have the DPS to deal with the suddenly tanky Marks.
Having use them for a bit, and thinking about it, it's way better of a tech than Artillery Scorps just because of how much it gives to the Marksmen. 9 meter splash is pretty huge, +30% extra attack makes them chunk through large units surprisingly quick, and most importantly the +500% is an absurd amount of bulk, especially for a 150 supply upgrade. And there's the +3 speed too, I guess.
It kind of forces the enemy to play Chicken. If they don't build single target damage, then you go Assault and have the Marks face tank everything. If they double down on Chaff then that's just feeding the Assaults. If they get too little Chaff then you just don't click that button and just play as normal. And promotion bonuses goes insane on the Assaults, given how cheap Marksmen's are. Just had a game where my opponent kind of just let me do the thing, and got a Rank 7 Mark with Elite, Range, and Assault, dude had 160 range it was glorious lol.
Back on topic, the downside, however, is that you don't have Marksmen anymore. And while the AoE is great, they still shoot at a snails pace, so they aren't the perfect counter to Chaff. And if the enemy EMPs them, then you'll just have Bulky Marks on the front. Among other things. Basically it turns them from a Core Backline unit into more of an Auxiliary unit, from what I can tell. They're good to have, but not something to build around, as a Core, or THE Core, of the Army
Personally, I found the most success using Assault Mode on Marksmen Starts, doubling down on them, then like, round 3 buying it and then, using the power spike of Assault, to cover my transition into my Core Lineup, which for me is Sledges. My Carry Assault Marks game is an outlier, and even in that game my Mass Sledge strat was likely why I was able to get away with making them into Carries. And I only bother to go Assault Mode if I start with Marksmen, because that's 3 extra Marksmen that'll benefit from the upgrade. And even then, I only get the Tech if I can't see myself reasonably get the Sledges train going fast enough
tl;dr I believe Assault mode is a lose less/stall Tech, best used to reverse the early game a bit and give yourself a few more rounds to build a proper unit comp. All this is a bit of speculation mixed with experience, so it's not the perfect analysis, but at the very least it's way better of a Tech than Siege Mode Scorps. Assault Mode is at least good in the early game. Siege Scorps meanwhile just does nothing. +40 Range and Photon Coating does everything better than what Siege can do. Siege is only good for FFA, where maps are large enough to justify the extra range, and where PCoating doesn't last long enough to be good.
Ive run into many assman combos just like this one in lower mmr a lot, and if you cant immidiately find a counter you just loose. It feels way too strong. And yes I think you would have lost the game if you didnt had the storms.
Assman spam from the early days is back it seems
Hackers ? Where are the Hackers ? Just 2 Hackers and they are done
solid call tbh against that board. elite recruit 2 hackes, tech range. should win.
Is it wrong that i was rooting for the assmen?
The assman tech should be immune to emp.
Hell nah, they hard to counter otherwise
There’s already boats for that
I wish there was a starting specialist that give you a spell (most likely misille strike) at the start of the game or give you the passif that reduced the cooldown of abilities by one.
Gross
Bruh you take way too long for round 1
