My friend owns an auto shop and he said having a bunch of stuff hanging off these ram keys that stick in can damage the housing and you could find yourself without the ability to start the truck. You do you but just FYI. 😉 Could be why you have trouble removing the key sometimes. 🤷♂️
Thank you I appreciate it my keys are pretty light. I had to remove some trinkets off. A lot of ladies have that problem. The tumbler fails from to much weight. 👌
Where exactly did you mount your remote start module, was it mounted on the inside of the bottom cover? I have a 2009 1500 Big Horn. I installed the same on a 2013 Honda CR-V, and works great.
I mounted it to the main wire harness under the cover. I used 2 zip ties to hold it in it's place. Been solid since the installation, I've had no mechanical issues.
Doors will lock after the remote start is activated. When the key is inserted, and turned to the run position. It won't lock the doors. Whenever you use the remote start it will always lock the doors. You can unlock it after the process. I can make a video if need be 👍

@@wbillw2522 no problem my guy! I hope your installation goes smoother than mine lol! After using for a couple weeks it's great 👍. I can start it 50ft or more, but can't hear the horn to know it's started. So I'll go make sure looking out a window.
@@equalizedsoundautorepair48 so here's an update.. installed it yesterday and so far it's been running perfectly. Fires right up when I hit the lock 3 times no issues inserting key and heading off on my way. Super easy to install with no issuses. Think I just got start x a bunch of new customers at my job lol. Thanks again for the advice and step by step video. No more cold morning!

Mine doesn't stay started. I'm like wtf. It tries then dies.

Does the auto start button on the key work or does it have to be the lock button?
It has to be the lock button only.
Mines not working
It could be defective contact them directly. It says to do so if you have any issues.
