    • @equalizedsoundautorepair48
      @equalizedsoundautorepair48 25 днів тому

      Not sure about torque specs for either. I'd look them up online. I get them tight and quarter turn. I do this for the calipers. You can tighten them and smack the ratchet until it bounces back as in the video. Rotor bolts I use a breaker bar tight and a quarter turn. I hope this was helpful to you.

    • @equalizedsoundautorepair48

      They maybe ok, some vehicles only like certain plugs. I went NGK iridium since the lower 8 were already iridium. There one of the best brands. I was able to get all 16 plugs for $120 on Amazon or ebay. Definitely cheaper than the local stores. Same plugs haven't had any issues since the installation. I'd figured I'd get the best or close as possible, since this job is very tedious.

    • @equalizedsoundautorepair48
      @equalizedsoundautorepair48 28 днів тому

      Have faith period. Worst case would've been to get another one. Don't forget we're human also, and no one is perfect. Since the plug wasn't damaged there was no issue. Another thing one plug or the whole pack would have been my cost replacing the parts. Either way make sure you don't drop one or more. It's always 1 who sees faults. You may have forgot or don't know. All plugs have a cardboard cylinder to protect the plugs from small drops as you seen. If I dropped it bare to the ground, it would be a dead plug to me. Everyone else is thankful for the video. ✌🏼

    If you're just changing the pads, to make it easier you don't need to mess with that top caliper pin next to the bleeder screw. Just remove the lower 14mm caliper pin, swing the caliper up, and pull out with the top pin attached to the caliper.

      Disconnect all of the harnesses from the a/c controls. Reconnect them see if they work without the stereo connected. Sometimes the connectors act funky. I didn't have that issue with this one. I was working on a honda that did that. I disconnected everything and reconnected. There may be a wire in the after market harness that my need connected or disconnected. I hope this helps let me know if I can help further.

    There was more of a case for 12-point sockets back when ratchet tooth counts were lower, as they offered more angles for getting the socket onto the fastener (that's also why combination wrenches usually have a 12-point box end). These days with fine-tooth ratchets, it's easier using a 6-point.
