Thanks for another interesting and unexpected idea Nick. Never heard of Cal Newport (OK, so slap me), but definitely checking out that title. The International Trombone Festival is beyond my reach, but I know there is great work going on there - hope some of it ends up online or available via live streaming. Your JJJ celebration is important and eye-opening, a fabulous contribution to the worldwide trombone community and to anyone who appreciates great musicians.
I think you are doing a marvelous job with your teaching ect , keep up the good . Sometimes I forget about resting properly eg. play for 5 mins have 5 off
