I should be at purse peace because I have completed my “must have” bag list such as: a tote, a cross body bag, an evening bag, an everyday errands bag, beach bag and so forth but I just love bags. I look at bags at every store from lux to thrift stores, online and on people I past by. Bags are my kryptonite! I was thinking of doing a “why am I not at purse peace when I already have these bags” video!
That would be such an interesting video! I think that for me, I don’t love bags the way some people do. The bags themselves are not my passion so I guess I’m just not inclined to have 50+ of them
I agree purse peace is real, Ive always bought things because they spoke to me, because baby the way these luxury fashion houses are increasing their prices 2 and 3 times a year Ive learned that I really have to make sure its a good fit for me and my life. No bag pressure. Just buy what you like and wear it to fit your style…and that’s it
I think purse peace can totally exist-if someone wants it. What I mean is that you have to be really comfortable with yourself, your style, and know what you like and works for your lifestyle. You pointed out a really good aspect too: not everyone needs the same pieces in their collection. 💥 sooo true. I go in cycles of purse peace… I’ll buy a piece or two or five and then I don’t buy anything for like 2-4 years; re-evaluate my collection; sell/donate what no longer works for me; then look for a new piece. Right now im like 2-3 bags away from purse peace, but im not in a huge rush either. Waiting the trend out like you say is such good advice. 💖 June
I think I'm mostly in that lull stage at the moment. I have bought a few bags here and there since 2018 but it's definitely been a mind shift and lifestyle adjustment. I find that I want less now that my collection is here
I only have 7 handbags, 2 clutches, and 1 wallet on chain. I’m quite content with having a more tailored and more focused on quality collection rather than having a large group of bags I don’t use. I may add to it later on, but for now. I think I’ve definitely reached Purse Peace! Also I’ve ran out of space for storing them.
Even though its hard, I try not to jump on bag trends and really be mindful of which bags I purchase. I've started over with my bag collection so I'm much more intentional when shopping.
@@KWSHOPS I didn't have a big collection to start with but I sold my bags to pay off credit card debt. Some bags were harder to let go than others 😩but I did it with a bigger goal in mind. I'm working on getting new "everyday" bags. Next is probably going to be evening bags. I love topics like this, keep it coming!
Great video! I love how your channel is more about reflective or analytical videos, rather than constant unboxings. I haven't attained purse peace yet. Sales are my weakness!
Omg! I totally get this. I was able to attain purse peace by ensuring I bought only classics and I went from purchasing quite a number of bags over a short period to not even wanting any bag. The only missing brand from my collection is a Hermes bag and I have tied purchasing this bag to a milestone that I am still a few years away from hitting, so I am pretty content and happy now.
I totally agree that you need to understand your lifestyle. I have lusted over a Chanel classic flap for years but I finally realized it wouldn’t really work for me. My wardrobe has gone from business dress to business casual to jeans and now leggings while WFH. I don’t dress up for fancy evenings out, either. I recently purchased a Hermès Evelyne PM that suits my long term needs much better.
Sometimes I just get tired of my bags and want something else. You are right just because you like something does not mean it will fit in your lifestyle.
I absolutely think it exists. If you buy well and care more about classics than trends then you can be well on your way. How many bags does one person really need? I love the color palette tip- so important!
Love this! I’m personally a shoe girl but I’d much rather not have a ton of bags. Just a few that are high quality every day. The Antigona will be my last.
Purse peace can exist imo but it doesn’t last forever. I feel like purse peace can exist for a short or long amount of time and then one will fall in love with something new. Right now I am saving up for travel so I’m not saving for a bag. There are items on my wishlist but I have made peace a while ago that it is okay to have things on the wishlist and not buy them. I will admire them afar for now. Regarding the Chanel 19, that was my dream bag even though it was not in my budget. It was on my wishlist and now that time has passed, it is no longer on my radar. It is strange how time does that, it almost feels like a crush that ran its course. You look stunning today and your earrings are so pretty ♥️
I’m at peace with my purses now. The last two handbag purchases were from Coach. I still enjoy browsing, but I don’t have the desire to buy another one. Thank you for the commentary. 😉
Purse peace definitely exists! There are only so many bags one can have and get regular use of. For me, thats 5 bags: Celine Nano Luggage, Polene Numero Un Backpack, LV Pochette Accessoires, Telfar Small Shopper, and Longchamp Le Pliage Tote. Personally, I do not need any more than this... nor do I have the space house more than this 😂
Hello girl! I need help. I have some lux items I need to sell; they r in good & some great condition that r not being used. Unfortunately can't post them on my social media as I live in the central valley in Cali & I know I'll get shame for even making such purchases. Where would be the best place to post them or sell them to a vendor? Thx ❤️
Love your phrase, “shopping within your style and not the life you aspire to.” I am grateful now for not purchasing some the handbags that did not fit my wardrobe and would have ended up getting rid of them. This phrase can be applied to shoes as well. I love love Valentino rockstud heels but I am not a heel kind of a gal. I wear heels 1-2 times per year if that and they are too expensive to just sit on my shelf. Glad that you are at purse peace…I’m almost there, lol.
I truely believe I'm at purse peace. I have a collection of 10 bags, all very different sizes and labels, and I'm so happy with all my bags, and I have no bags I'm interested in buying that I don't own, well maybe a Chanel mini square haha. I try and live a minimal lifestyle and shop practically and sustainable if I can. Also I love your videos! New subby here, how have I only just found you?!
So glad to hear it’s not just a me-phenomenon! My collection rn is perfect. I have just added something but it was more out of lust/opportunity. And I recognize that I def didn’t need it. I ‘need’ nothing and my collection has no holes. Everything going forward will be superfluous
@@KWSHOPS yes and the reason I haven't got the Chanel mini square is because I have a small Balenciaga camera style bag that is similar in size and structure. So I'm happy if I never add it. It's just a wish list item 🥰
I have too much and I am trying to cut down and finally reach peace. Some of them are easy to let go of but others I feel very sentimental because they were what I carried in past phases of life. Even if they are very outdated and not my style at all I just feel like the amount I could sell it for would be less than what they mean to me. At the same time I do not have a lot of storage space and something needs to go
I don’t normally buy trendy bags, I usually go for vintage and discontinued bags. And 3 months ago I thought I have finally reached purse peace, but then I bought another bag 3 weeks later, and three more bags after that lol. Anyway after buying my last bag this month, once again I believe that now I have finally reached purse peace. I have the same exact content feeling I had last April. So I think purse peace does exist??? (TBD)

I have 8 bags, 1 clutch, 1 woc. Works for me perfectly!
I have a clutch a computer bag a small back pack and a purse and a another small bag that broke

You can still hold sentimental attachment to items that aren’t physically with you!
Does purse peace exist? 🤔 Yes & no! 😲 And that's my final answer! 😂 Great tips on how to be mindful and not just follow the trend herd 💕
