    Artist: Red Hot Chili Peppers
Album: The Uplift Mofo Party Plan
    Title: Me and My Friends
    Enjoy it in HD!
    Lyrics:
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends
    Like two sweet peas
    In an even sweeter pod
    That's my friend
    And my friends's named Bob
    Like the devil knows hell
    I know Bobby well
    Well enough to tell you
    'bout his 67 smells
    Well enough to tell you
    He's a hell-a-swell-a fella
    Well enough to tell you
That we know each other better
    Than we know our selves
    Like freaks of a feather
    We rock together
    I know Bob well
But I think he knows me better
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends
    He's as close to me
    As a friend can be
I'll be standin' by my buddy
    He'll be standin' by me
    Just another half of
    The two headed freak
    But I need him like
    My heart needs to beat
    At this point
    In this friendly verse
I've gotta sing a little something
    That I haven't rehearsed
    It's about my man
    And his name is Hillel
    For whom my love
    is soul-brother sacred
    Take it now Johnny
    Johnny take it
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends
    Jacky's eyes are closed
    But he's right on course
    Because he's guided by
    The invisible force
He drives a kooky green chrysler
    Bad as anybody's porsche
    He's a working class drummer
He's as strong as a horse
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends
Me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my, me and my friends

This video is one of the most intense live performances I've seen of them in the last decade. Maybe its the mixing of sound, or just their raw energy, but this video is great to watch!

Killer song. Recently saw this on a list of top 10 funkiest rhcp songs, which it rightly should be on.. But they didn't even mention the song walkabout

0:35 Frusciante is a master ... their sound is intense and well polished, and its spectacular synchrony. If you are used to watch live the "red hot", you'll know that this is what john enjoys more ... having a fine tuned guitar to the right song at the right time.

actually, after he left the band for the 1st time, he talked about how he hated touring. because there are less ways to be creative than in a studio and you usually never come up with new songs during a tour.

    • @erick_rondan_35
      @erick_rondan_35 9 років тому +2

OpticalFilmsHD ... and after the second time, he said he was never a concert musician and had to adapt to that, yes I know ... but I spoke in particular of those moments when it seemed that nothing mattered more, it seemed that there was no other place to be the next day and all those kinds of things, you know ...

Yeah chad might not be the most technical drummer but his dynamics are insanely good. His loud playing is so unique and precise, and he can still tone it down and play quiet too. He’s awesome.

@@matthewbeach2952 he's the perfect combo of rock, funk & jazz for the band, & the best thing that sets him apart from a lot of rock drummers is he really listens & improvs continually, not just in certain parts, which is what makes them so interesting & fresh live

I'll tell you what the Yertle Trilogy is. Obviously Giladmusic doesn't know either. It's Yertle the Turtle, then it goes into Freaky Styley and they play Cosmic Slop by George Clinton and I know one version of the Yertle Trilogy has Atomic Bomb by George Clinton and in some other versions it has some of John's solo stuff. It just vary's what they play.

    • @teunputker
      @teunputker 9 років тому

There isn't so much light, so you probably can't really see it (me neither), but as far as I know John used 4 strats during this tour: the 58 with maple fretboard, 62 with rosewood and his fiesta red and the olympic white one so I think it's still the 62

    • @Kutaah
      @Kutaah 9 років тому

Teun Putker I already knew that, the guitar he is using here isnt any of those thats why I asked, at 1:31 you can clearly see it isnt his main strat
i was just wondering but if you dont know dont worry
