I love how you show the reality of crocheting! Showing all the mistakes, frogging and the time it takes, its just so refreshing to see compared to how perfect things can seem on social media. The perfection of things regularly makes me feel bad, like I cant measure up. This was a pleasant change to all of that. I love your energy! Gorgeous pieces.🧶🧶🧶

Can I just say how refreshing it is to see a real person doing crochet, like legit getting bored and just straight up fed up. As much as we love crochet, certain projects get us ALL snoring at some point!

OMG!! I know this video is a month old but I love when I find other plus sized crochet girlies who don't make boring things like just blankets or baby clothes. You are such an inspiration and I subbed of course!! Can't wait to see all the lovely videos you make!!

!!! I've always seen those corner hammock patterns and thought they were really neat ideas for efficient space use but assumed the only use for them was stuffed animals, which I don't really have. But. YARN STAAAASH !!! Freaking genius! This discovery has made my day. Also love how colorful the shirt turned out, even if the fit didn't work out. Wearables are hard! It might stretch to a comfy/perfect size if you block it depending on what fiber you used to make it.

Love that the crochet hammock is a paid actor in the background ❤😂 also the decor!!! So pretty!!!
Also yes thank YOU for the white hexagon t shirt pattern! I'm really wanting to make that soon but haven't seen it on any one my size. It looks so good!!! I made the “abuela top” tank top pattern from Ravelry and I had the same issue with the arm and neck decreases. I had to re-crochet them so many times, it took forever. I think the pattern was a little confusing and it doesn’t list how many stitches you should have at the end of each row. Once I sat down and did the math, I added notes to include the stitch count for each row and I finally completed the top. Super cute but a bit frustrating.
Also, I hate hate hate sewing so I almost always crochet pieces together instead and it’s not only easier but it looks great as well.

  • @kayceegreer4418

I would be interested in plus size measurements, Stitch counts, etc in tutorials beginning to end because I can't read patterns and make sense of them because I have found too many of them don't give the detail of how to get from this stitch to the next row or stitch their asking for and so many patterns for that little details that I don't have enough experience to sess out what the missing detail is. The best I can do is shape pieces - because I can sew in because I'm observant of my own garments that I like - to make sure they fit.
Because I have all that figuring to do sometimes it's just too much of a brain drain for me to do all of that. I would just like to sit and follow something from beginning to end with someone. Don't have to see every minute but just filming of the important parts and a slow demonstration of a few stitches if they're fancy to make sure we've got it and then speed through the rest, until we get to a new thing that changes or that is important to note or else the res can be screwed up if you skipped past it or don't do this one little thing right, you know what I mean?
A lot of Turkish and Russian, French and Italian, Asian and Arabic videos I watch wherein they make some very interesting even architectural crochet stitches do that, But many times because a language barrier and really sucky translation captioning or subtitles It's hard to understand what's going on if they don't demonstrate it at the point that it needs to be demonstrated.
Even on the Alize yarn channel that I watch, they do a lot of explaining and pointing at stuff that's already done, and all of their hand movements make it pretty plain to me that They are explaining something that needs to be done at a certain point but they are not demonstrating or doing a tutorial. But then some of those channels do it right and I have learned so much from even some of the ones that have no words at all They're very good at demonstrating each and every point when it is necessary and every time something changes They point it out, demonstrated show you and art make movements with their hands to indicate and they show it to you a few times and then they speed through to the next point of change. Sometimes they will demonstrate and movement with their fingers and then shake their finger at you to show you not to do something that you may think intuitively needs to be done and it's a mistake that can cause disaster if you don't really pay attention to it. Iit's really great, the way some do it.
