- hi besties! not a lot going on this week but i did lots of untangling and winding hehe i also made this cute set that i’m excited to wear when the weather gets warmer :) ngl i have been wearing the headband all day every day bc it really makes me feel like ‘that girl’ iykyk

♡ Pattern ♡
Headband
Chain 10 (or however many chains you want the width of the headband to be)
Half double crochet into back loops only in every stitch
At the end of the row chain one and turn your work (chain does not count as a stitch)
Repeat until the piece is long enough to wrap around your head (I did a total of 40 rows for reference)
Stitch the ends together with slip stitch
Top (Made to Measure :) )
Chain the length you want the top to be starting from the top of your upper chest/under the armpit until desired length (the top is worked sideway)
Half double crochet into back loops only in every stitch
At the end of the row chain one and turn your work (chain does not count as a stitch)
Repeat until the piece is long enough to wrap around your body
Stitch the ends together with slip stitch
**NOTE**
* You can adjust the tightness of the headband/top however you like I want mine tight so I crocheted till there were about 3 inches left before it could wrap around my head/body comfortably then stitched the ends together (hope that makes sense lol)
* Also take into consideration the stretchiness of the yarn you’re using because cotton and acrylic yarn will stretch a bit after wearing :)

I know this is very random but what brands and types of yarn do you like :) except for acrylic? I have enough acrylic 😭… Only asking because I wanna purchase other yarns but not so sure where to start.
hiii! no it’s not random at all i know choosing yarn can get so overwhelming bc there are so many options and honestly i dont feel ‘qualified’ to give recommendations since i still haven’t tried that many of them BUT lately i have been loving cotton yarn for my crochet projects :) the one i mentioned in the video is really good quality imo but they dont have that many colors to choose from so i have been wanting to try the Paintbox cotton yarn im just waiting for them to restock hahaha and as for knitting projects i really like Drops they are super affordable and great quality with so many different types of fibers and colors to choose from 🫶🏻🫶🏻 (Lionbrand also isn’t too bad and it’s super accessible if you’re in the us) hope this helps!! 🤍
