I joined your channel a couple days ago. Absolutely love your content and equipment testing. I live in Kelowna BC and want to get into backcountry hunting. I mountain bike and fish so I’m not uncomfortable being out by myself. 2 years have passed, if you would do an update for this video how much has changed. Maybe it’s time for a new one
Hey Jay. Looking forward to the video about the tipi used on the family hunt. Curious if / what woodstove you used? Im deciding between the SO and a Pomoly. SO is light but seems a little fiddly compared to the heavier Pomoly.
Speaking of the high carb high protein moderate fat: if you have ever eaten at a restaurant at the Grand Canyon, they all primarily sell food like this for the hikers. It seriously helps keep me energized post hike or before a hike. On top of that, the waiters there were even talking about how the calorie count and carb count was high just for this reason
What lens does Brian Call use to get those long shots? Have you tried it? I have some digiscope videos on my channel and am thinking about getting into filming more. I'd like to film some of my friend's hunts in west Texas. Sorry if you already have a camera gear breakdown video and I missed it.
Heck I run a mystery ranch Marshall for 80% of my hunts pack in long sheep hunts ect and run a beartooth for 1-5day hunts I. Doing a 14 day mnt goat hunt on a leh here in bc and im gonna run the Marshall
Great job Jay…lots of good tips there.
Glad it was helpful!

I'm just posting a podcast video this morning where I go over my entire gear list for my recent sheep hunt. It has some updated items in it.

No clue but they’re way too heavy for a solo hunter like me which is why I digiscope.
Great video brother! Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us.

Love your tripod selections

Come back to the possibles pouch And let’s see a video on that. Don’t worry about the length it’s good content packed full of useful info.
You got it. I’ll put it on the list for after this hunt.
I don't do binos I only have 1 eye so I run my Leica 3500 as a monocular and then run a spotter eliminate 1 pc of gear
Makes sense.
Take a poor 55yo archery elk hunting in Colorado. It's always been my dream to take a bull with a bow.
I'd love to go hunting Elk in CO. I've never been. Who know, maybe some day.
My wife said my autopsy will read died with too much gear in his pack 😁
hahaha.
