I purchased one of each paint scheme for my three sons. I've replaced the quadcopter propeller with FMS four-blade propellers used on the 800mm F4U-4 Corsair, P-51D and P-47D as the prototype uses a four blade propeller. The FMS propeller is a heavier and larger propeller, so the torque will be something to contend with during rolling take offs and the wide track main landing gear should be adequate when making Slow long take offs. Hand tossing is not a problem. The foam could use reenforcement, so I got carbon fiber rods for the wings and tail assembly. One plus about this model is that it is a Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate (Frank) and NOT the usually represented A6M Zero that is always around. Great review, @thercsaylors!
I just brought my first plane and received it this weekend , I went for the fms super cub 1300 , hoping to maiden it this week and it’s all because of your videos , blessing from across the pond 🇬🇧
Just a observation, with wheel off, you might be able to land without damage on the prop, but the servo horn at the bottom won't last long if you land on them! I also notice the plane is bouncing up and down all the time, so I doubt it will last long before you crash it! just my opinion!
I'm no expert but it looks like adding the landing gear might change the CG of the airplane a bit. As to the handling of the airplane it might make it better, might make it worse. Smaller planes can be extremely sensitive to little changes of CG.
First you praised the transmitter, then... meh!! More quirky than most warbirds!! But at the end, Nate made the WALK OF FAME to retrieve his plane!! Thanks Saylors for the honest review!! 👍😘
Roll rate is pretty scale. Slow, but scale. I think that is due to the ailerons being where they are supposed to be and theyre scale sized, rather than taking up the whole trailing edge of the wing like the Volantex mustangs.
I have this i paid 149 about 4 months ago went to fly but started rain so i did not i did a full motor test on my bench about 13 minutes full throttle !!!
I believe that this aircraft and we as manufacturers will bring you more surprises as time goes by. But please forgive us, this is also the first time we try to make such a small aircraft. We have always made aircraft with a load capacity of more than 150kg. This is the first small aircraft we have made! Thank you for your support.
Pretty dang cool for the price, I definitely don't like the switch positions though, My AeroScout was slow at spoiling up also, I changed the ESC and eliminated the problems,That was one of the only gripes I had well that and crappy servos, I've had to replace all 4.🤦🏻
I had this ready to go i did will all my RTF planes move the dog throws to the shortest positions for maxi throw in safe when you go to medium safe you can do all the stunts!! with the eachine planes !!
Looks like it’s Poe pushing up and down like a roller coaster?? I love your videos , you both do really well together that’s great for a husband and wife. If only I could find a woman who loved my hobby. Thanks
What happened with the huge Ultimate you bought? I would like if you could review balsa models aswell like omp or extreme flight. Keep up the good work!
I’m getting one of those… I love slow fliers!!can you buy one of those without that controller.?.?? Without the gear,, can you bring it is slow,,, really low then stall it to drop lightly into the grass?
Im always curious to know how easy/ difficult it would be to pull the ESC, radio, etc and make modifications. It's a nice looking plane and for $130 could be worth it. Depends a lot I guess whether it has separate components or the all in one boards these typically come with.
Haha! Oh if Abby did that I’d have to get her back! This ear infection has been annoying, hoping it clears up soon. Has gotta be this insane weather we’ve been having!! 😬💯⚓️
It looks like a Zero? If so, they were originally built to dive straight into the ground/ocean. So the safety off is a realistic representation or the original 😬 Blessings.
It's not a Zero, it's a Ki-84 Hayate made by Nakajima. The Zero was made by Mitsubishi aslo known as AM6. They do kind of look similar but the Ki-84 came after the Zero.
The wing looks really bent on the left side that will not be helping it fly properly.i think its a really nice quality RTF plane for the money,if you want something to start your flying hobby off ,i don't think you can go far wrong with this at this price. point.
Hey guys, I just got an Aeroscout rtf from horizon and I'm absolutely in love, I'm trying to make my mind up on my next bird, but I have a question if you see this by chance. I'm wandering if the DXS very basic transmitter that came with the Aeroscout will work with other bind and Flys or plug and plays. Or is it time to upgrade my transmitter, they're high but I'm definitely going to get one but not until I really have to. Thank you ahead of time
My best judgment is that the throttle delay is to soften the induced torque roll during rapid torque changes. The plane looks like crap, don’t waste your money.
It’s overpriced. It seems like you can spend the same amount on a plane nowadays with better detail and better electronics. You might be thrilled to have this plane if you’re only expectation is that it’s top speed is slightly quicker than grandfathers mobility scooter.
Looks good , BUT if slow & in stable is the limit & out of stable gets wonky, I would say pass .You've shown better for a decent price. All ya Saylor's feel & get better❗️❗️⚓️⚓️👍💚🧡💛👍⚓️⚓️.
@@stuartm2476If I add it to the cart - 2 batteries, Silver, take off the shipping insurance and apply the coupon it goes to £131.48 for me which is a much better price. REALLY weird why Silver is cheaper!!!!!
How did you save that I was sure you crashed it, I really wish I could fly rc but seriously I may as well throw the money in the loo. 😢😅😂 that did seem a tad dodgy flyer tbh. But love watching you guys what ever your flying or off road racing. In November I purchased a 70kmh sweep but the steering didn't work properly after many texts and promises I wasn't getting my money back or a replacement car. 😢 no thanks to ebay either. I do have two others to keep me Going but still annoyed and gutted. 😮😢 I think the steering servo is too sluggish they kept saying about a gyro in the controller 😳..? They had me send proof which I did and as they gave me lip service for so long eBay claimed it had been too long, even tho they say to give the seller a chance to redeem themselves. Which I did but after 4 months obviously not happening. 😢sorry for the moan just wanted to put it out there.
now if it was "UMX" or "FMS" it would fly perfectly out of the box....... and this doesn't so........... I'd say the WL / XK A280 is the far better plane and cheaper.
UMX don't always fly perfect out of the box. They usually do fly well, but my "micro" (not technically umx) Draco took quite a bit of trimming out of the box, and the flaps started coming apart after 5 minutes of flight time.
Is there a good remote I’d device I can use on both my drone and my planes. My friend just bought one but it needs power via plugging into the receiver for power. Is there one that uses battery so I won’t need to plug it in every time I switch it to another plane/drone?
Try the radiomaster tx16 or boxer, or pocket if you're on a budget. Also note that you will need to purchase a compatible receiver for drone or plane you're using with your transmitter/remote, as well as bind it on your first flight, which is probably what your friend is doing with the plugging in.
I have watched a lot of your videos and like most of them. This is the exception. A beginner pilot is going to crash it into the ground and give up on the hobby. Based on the way it flew, I would give it a big thumbs down. There is clearly a problem with both throttle control and flight stabilization. I have a difficult time understanding why you would recommend it at any price. A used trainer would be better for a beginner.

Starter warbird fun , fair price an performance. 👂Get well soon ✌️😇
