Hiya Jerrel, I can see that you are really excited and the accent gives away the Australian dimension! I've seriously thought about getting one for playing Irish music, as Aquila sell strings GDAE in a set for Irish tuning for Soprano or Concert Uke scales. The GDAE Aquila set is 30U, and Aquila also make a set CGDA, which is set 31 U. These can be bought from Strings Direct here in England which is a great firm to deal with, but I'm sure many other places as well.Thanks very much and take care. from a new subscriber. David.
Thank you for watching and commenting on my videos! Did you end up picking up one of these? They're a bit quiet for Irish music in a pub environment unless you put metal strings on it. Nylon would be too quiet, but I do have one of these setup with Mandola strings to play low GDAE and it could be heard evenly at my Irish music club in a pub. Mandolin strings would work for the higher GDAE, while Octave Mandolin strings would comfortably allow the CGDA tuning. As you said, Acquila offers a CGDA set but I'm not sure if their Nylgut will be loud enough in a pub. All the best!

the a string sounds a little echoee or buzzy maybe its just the mic .i wonder what a wound low g would sound like .i like low g on some of my ukuleles thanks for the video
I have experimented and put classical guitar strings on it and have it tuned similar to a banjo. It has a nice warm growl but I'd like to experiment more. Thanks for watching.
